Nice friendly hotel

The room was clean and the hotel a short walk from The Leas and the beach front, I found the countertop bathroom sink was too high for me to wash my face in comfortably.

Only issue was having to walk uu 4 flights of stairs to the room

Newly refurbished with home made cakes and good quality breakfast. Very warm welcome and close to the seafront.
Very expensive at £95 for a a tiny en-suite single bedroom, up 6 flights of steps. Plus parking is £4 a night.

What a cracking little hotel. Highly recommend as super friendly & personal service. Far better service than the bigger international chains . Breakfast was superb .

Parking was a bit tricky, but the hotel was fantastic and offered one of the best breakfasts of our entire trip.

On arrival found the place to be very welcoming. First impressions very good. At bed time found my son’s camp bed had 3 springs missing and was lop sided. Had been made up this way, was not safe to sleep. Went down to reception and rang the bell, heard ring inside the occupier who lives on sites living accommodation but no one arrived after 5 mins. So called the main phone line and the lady answered immediately, felt like we weren’t so important once checked in but she was quick to answer the phone to a new client enquiring potentially. To be fair it was sorted swiftly but it was a bit baffling someone made it up in such poor condition.
We had an early start the morning after and went down to get the kids a bowl of cereal before we left for our journey to France. The lady who runs it, quickly scrambled upon the breakfast room and rudely announced we had not paid for breakfast. My bad entirely but it was not mentioned on checking in and I just assumed it was included. I quickly put her at ease and said I’d happily pay for the breakfast. On checking out I offered to pay for the two children’s cereal bowls (aged 2 & 9) expecting for it to be waived as it was so minimal but was charged £10.
Such a shame because genuinely really enjoyed the facilities and would have considered staying again because we really enjoyed our trip to France. Little things like that go so far and it’s the difference between becoming a returning customer or not.
Pretty disappointed.

Definitely recommend The Relish. The location is great. Very close to the harbour and beach. Also close to Battle of Britain memorial.
It's very clean and Julia was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here. Would stay again for sure. There was £3.30 daily charge to park on the street out front, which was convenient for me. The weather although great did not hinder my stay thankfully. Thank you to all the staff at The Relish.

The hotel was located in a great spot, a few minutes walk from the harbour and town centre. Our room was very clean and comfortable room with everything we needed for our overnight stay. The service from all the staff we met was fantastic, they were very helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble.

We did not feel welcome. Room was nice, but that is also all. We felt we were a necessary evil arriving before 3 p.m. even if the room was ready. Then we had to pay an extra 10 GBP to be allowed to use it one hour before 3 p.m.
We use another hotel next time we are on business in the area.

Stayed for 1 night due to train strikes as we were going to theatre. Although hotel said there’s parking. It’s not on site. When we arrived we struggled to find anywhere to park. We did manage to find parking later in day and moved car. Room was nice. Large & clean although a little cold. Especially bathroom as radiator didn’t work very well.

Lovely B&B, Orche room was very comfortable and breakfast offering was good.

We stayed at The Relish the night before taking the euro tunnel. We arrived around 5pm to a very warm welcome from Laura, the owner. We were offered tea and cake and shown to our room which was extremely clean and comfortable. It was an early start the next morning so we just had a quick breakfast before we left. We checked back eleven days later on on return. Again we had a very warm welcome and were given the same room. The next morning we had a later start and were served with an excellent cooked breakfast before leaving. A superb little hotel and first class service all delivered with a friendly manner. Only slight drawback is roadside parking but as we were off season we had no problem parking outside the hotel. Folkestone itself had some lovely restaurants especially in the old town.

Nice, clean and simple B&B in a good area near the Leas Cliff Hall, great for a short stay.
I stayed for one night following an event at the Hall. I didn't interact with any staff; I was able to self-check in and out easily. The room was pleasant and surprisingly quiet even though my room (Indigo) faced a road and I had the window open. Very little noise from within the hotel as well.

Yep - all good. I think the lovely lady on the other end of the phone could have probably done without all my questions as she seemed very busy but polite courteous and patient. Happy with the service and the stay

We had to book this no-notice less than an hour before we arrived. Loved it. Delightful owner. Folkestone an easy place to base before using ferry to cross channel. Cool town and fun beach to jump in very cold water!

Charming guest house tastefully renovated and with a warm welcome. Free on street parking and we were lucky enough to get a space right outside. Access to the private garden square at rear. Good location for access to town restaurants and the Leas promenade. Hearty cooked breakfast to order. Will stay again for our stopovers for an early Eurotunnel.

Would definitely stay there again. it was clean, spacious and stylish. The breakfast was very good and plenty of it. Only a short walk to a very pretty part of the seafront.

Room was on 2nd floor and no lift and they couldn’t change it. I have terminal cancer and it killed me to climb the stairs.
Room was basic. Three lamps and none of them worked. No internet at all.
To get a shower you had to climb over the bath and no slip mat so couldn’t have a shower. We were just glad it was only for one night. Sorry but I cannot recommend this hotel.
