Help was given whenever required and everyone was very helpful at all times.

Good room overall! The breakfast was good value for the price. We liked all of the public spaces we could use outside of the room.

Great place to stay as a solo traveler. Room was clean, bed comfortable and a good shower. Lovely chill out area downstairs and bar and food area.

Good for what it is in a pinch and for a cheap stay.

This was my first time staying in a hostel and I had pretty much zero issues! I slept surprisingly well and the breakfast was great. It’s also extremely close to the bus stop and train station

I loved the atmosphere and how friendly everyone was :)
5.0 / 10.0
It was excellent, the only little drawback was the noisy room due to the train line passing by at only 50mts from the room.
6.0 / 10.0
Fine. Hostel. No towels. Area a bit rough but not unsafe or in suburb etc. I find it expensive for what it is. I would have paid more for a better place. Pod room with private bathroom. Clean though.

This hostel is probably the best one in Dublin (I have stayed in most of them). The pod beds give you a bit of privacy while still getting the hostel experience.
You are directly beside both the luas and train station so there is no walking needed to access transport and get around. It’s also very quick to get to the centre of town from the location.

Clean, comfy & convenient. Perfect when arriving late at the train station

I liked the pods although they can get a bit warm.

The staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. First time traveling alone and they made me feel comfortable finding my way around. Most things were a short walk away and the tram was nearby as well.

Great staff and close to everything I needed

I stayed in a 10-person female dorm. Most of the time there were 4-5 people in the room and it was very clean, no clutter or food/drinks. Everyone was very respectful and I made some friends! :) Felt private in the nook beds and with the thick curtain. Bathroom was nice, cleaned once a day. The staff downstairs were helpful as well. In unfortunate news - I was warned by one of the girls in my room that there is a number of men downstairs that sometimes do security for the hostel and sometimes stay the night and that the guy she talked to was being very creepy. I will say the area is on the same block as a garda station and a noisy pub. It's close to a giant transport hub which is nice for transit but someone in my room did get robbed at the bus station. Not an unsafe area by any means, but good to keep your eyes peeled.

Once of the nicer hostels I have stayed in, felt like a hotel!

This is an excellent hostel! I am a bit older than most of the kids about and I felt perfectly at home. Clean with a good vibe. The beds were comfortable and the pods are nice. The downstairs bar and sitting area are fun! Lots of friendly people and staff coming and going. Everyone is right about the breakfast! It's quite good and really inexpensive for Dublin. Have breakfast here! The desk staff are always available and super friendly. They take security seriously here too!

I like the bit of extra privacy you get in a pod. & the fact you dont pay a premium for being single. Everything was clean. Nice bar, nice staff. Great location. Have stayed before, will probably stay again

I booked a 4 room and didn’t receive that. The lady behind me booked an 8 room and got into a 4 room. Be careful what you book and pay for because they don’t seem to uphold it. I was promised a refund that never came.

Value for money, dart runs right beside it , so very noisy, other than that it's very good value for Dublin

Friend of mine got robbed in Talbot street but apart from that Jacobs Inn we could not fault excellent service and hospitality, would stay again

Nice hostel area a little sketchy. The food at the restaurant was also mediocre for the price.

10 bed dorm nice to have curtain and charging point. Room did get a little hot as one window only opened a small amount. Would stay again very organised. Nice to be able to leave bags.

Enough security to feel safe and facility always clean.
Staff if very nice and flexible

All of the doors slam shut so good luck getting any sleep here. The rooms were so warm almost impossible to sleep especially in an upper pod. The shower was not clean and not draining properly until the last day of my stay. The check in staff could definitely be friendlier. Otherwise location is good, very convenient/close to transportation and area is walkable.

Great reception staff. The place is a Hostel not an Inn or Hotel as Hotels.com list it. We're in our 70s we would never book a hostel. Kind of a spartan room, no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in bath. Only two towels in bath. For the price you still pay for breakfast. Good location for transport to from and around Dublin.
1.0 / 10.0
Dorm type stay went to drop off bag they claim they have lockers none work bags unattended all over baggage room no security. Got my assigned bed twice another. Person was sleeping in the bed I was assigned. Bathrooms dirty
Breakfast buffet food was cold no hot trays
