The room had a terrible smell, when we tried to report the issue we were passed through to three different people, eventually the night manager spoke to us, his only comment was “What do you want me to do about it?” This was the worst level of customer service I have ever experienced - absolutely appalling

Bad service , no body is cleaning the room for 2 days , and when i tried to contact hotel no one is answering my emails.

Wonderful building, although decor starting to show its age in places. Fabulous views from the Cloud 23 cocktail bar. Ground floor Podium bar adjacent to the entrance atrium cold and uninviting. Staff friendly and helpful.

Distinctly average experience, the team really didn’t seem at all interested, the rooms are more basic than a premier inn and looking dated.

We loved the breakfast !!

Bed wasnt very comfortable, i woke up several times with a bad back in the night and air com wasnt working. Car parking £29.95 what a rip off. Plus disappointed to hear that the pool was closed due a technical difficulty this morning. Could have stayed at premier inn with no pool facility much cheaper. Son loved the breakfast so that was his up point.

Aircon did not work in the room was moved to another room that hadn’t been cleaned properly. The door broke which the manager came and told me that I couldn’t lock my room. Unfortunately I had to be sent back to my original room in which I was unable to sleep due to the heat

The check in was easy and the receptionist was very helpful and checked us in prior to the nominated check in time.
The room was clean and spacious. However as we were close to the lifts we were disturbed during the night. The bathroom was poorly lit and my shaving and my wife applying her makeup was hindered. In addition the door lock was broken and it was not permissible to double lock the door from within the room.

Had our room which was 410, we noticed once we un pacled that a "fire door" lead into the room next door. This door has no where near passed fire regulations. A fdoor gap has to be 3mm around the frame with a 10mm atbthe bottom.
This is due to smoke, as the intum steip expand to creat a tight gap! We rang the service on the phone & basically got told it doesnt matter due to it being a door in which joins both rooms... this is a massive concern due to a sign down stairs saying you take fore protection seriously... we checked out a day early due to feeling unsafe.
This would only take 1 person to leave hair straighteners on or anything like to cause a fire in which we could of then had a room full of smoke because of this. I am firas trained in which is a fire door specialist in fitting and checking. I would recommend urgently to get this changed and another others in which doesnt meet regs!

Lovely hotel and the service was unbelievable

Unfortunately I feel the place has went downhill. Cleaning staff hardly clean your room, just a quick tidy up. Suites are dated, television wasn’t even connected to any channels and didn’t have any soap in the shower. Not sure I’ll be back to be honest.

The check in process was dreadful, took an extended period of time as there did not appear to be enough people assisting travellers and they get took forever dealing with the check in process.
The room was mediocre, it felt drab and tired, the shower curtain in the bathroom didn’t look clean and we had an accessible bathroom which had a slope into the shower area which was slippery.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
Finally the discount to park in the NCP they direct you to does not work!

I have stayed in a lot of Hiltons around the world and never have I come across a bar that closes at 10.00? + in an air conditioned room I would certainly expect a bottle of water in the room.+ I ordered drinks from room service which took over an hour for a gin & Tonic & Vodka & tonic, then they brought Tequila. When you go out for an evening, it would be nice to finish off the evening with a relaxed night cap but alas that was not on the menu. Everything else was as you would expect from a Hilton, comfy bed, clean and a good shower.

Great location but the bed was extremely uncomfortable, firm, noisy and lead to a poor night's sleep with back pain upon waking.

We paid a premium price to stay at this hotel and frankly the quality did not match the brand.
The two rooms had an unpleasant odour and someone had been smoking in one of them.
In one the shower head sprayed the wall unless held in place even after removing and reattaching.
When in bed we could hear our room neighbours talking for hours. They didn't sound like they were partying so sound proofing was also average.
General room standard were poor.
Rooms should have come with robes which I wouldn't have cared about had we not requested one, 3 times and it was never brought to the room!
At £278 per room per night that was rubbish.
Only silver lining was the breakfast was superb and Lana who greeted us was just lovely and couldn't have been more helpful

Great location, however the hotel is dated, needs a good face lift, my room wasn't cleaned well on check in, dirty marks from drinks not removed off the glass from the built in desk, I removed them with a wet wipe. Advents were being held at the hotel during my stay, no issue with that, however as a resident/guest paying full price for a 3 night stay, I could not use the bar area for a coffee as the advents had it booked out, I couldn't relax or work in the waiting areas, I couldn't use the business lounge either as there were no staff present and the area was taken over by the advent. Ive stayed in many Hiltons in the UK & USA, wont rush back to this one

The hotel foyer is beautiful and feels luxe. We stayed in a double room that had a stunning view of the city and out into the countryside. The room had a huge bath and powerful shower over this and the water was always piping hot. The breakfast was good... Not amazing... Not extraordinary... But good. The pool area and hot tub were lovely and relaxed and super clean. It's a long pool but not a wide one so it got very busy very quickly on Saturday as you might expect. The staff throughout the hotel were polite and welcoming and very sweet but I would expect that in any establishment to be honest.
My honest review: you are paying more to stay in the hotel because of the views and the cloud bar and the reputation that holds. Were the rooms or the breakfast any better than a premier inn plus? No.. I wouldn't say so. Also the carpark just opposite is absolutely extortionate. We stayed for two days and it was £40 with the voucher discount code from the hotel applied. That is on me though as I got my information mixed and thought it was £9 for 24hrs with hotel discount. If you want to experience the hotel... Visit the cloud bar and book into the pool privately as a non guest. There are cheaper and equally nice places to stay. Good, bit not excellent for £210 per night (with breakfast).

Our room smelt very badly as if the carpet was damp or rotting. The bathroom door did not shut properly and the shower was so powerful that the shower panel did not contain all the water and the bathroom floor was flooded after only a short shower. Room was sub standard for a Hilton hotel

Great location for the center of Manchester and surrounding area. Nice and clean room with a very large TV!!

If you can afford to stay here then you can afford to stay in a much, much nicer hotel. Our 'deluxe' room was tired and shabby, the shower leaked, and absolutely everything in the room was 'value-engineered' to be as cheap as it could possibly be while technically fulfilling the absolute basics of what a hotel room should be. Not even any toiletries in the room – other than the kind that are bolted to the wall and pumped out (like you would find in a two-star hotel). I politely mentioned some of these things upon checkout and the guy on the desk simply could not have cared less. Insultingly impersonal, uncaring service and vastly overpriced. For the same money, literally any other hotel would be better.
