The Northern tour was the highlight.

We stayed in apartment next to the jetty. Staff are amazing, very helpful. Booking activities were easy. The only downside was the rooms were not very sound proof.

One of the best holidays ever.

Ideal for 3–day stay with grandchild - room basic but adequate - plenty to do if you’re willing to pay - food options a bit limited - room service non existent but your told that if you read the fine print -

My family and I liked the tropical, relaxing atmosphere. The grounds were well maintained and the staff were friendly. Loved our stay and we’ll definitely be back 😎

We enjoyed our stay. One piece of advice- if you take your car, it is a super long walk to the actual resort from the northern carpark. We were lucky that we met a staff member called Normie that helped us out but others werent so lucky. I also had to beg reception to help me get back to my car with luggage, rain, a tired 7 year old and an injured wrist, as they only provide luggage transport if you are coming on the passenger ferry. Overall though, there is so much to do and a fair few dining options that cater for fussy kids. We did enjoy our stay and would come back.

Amazing location! A few umbrellas or shade netting on the beach (say 20) with some beach chairs, perhaps a beach bar would enhance the experience.
Landscaping could be updated. The netting at the beach looks tacky, other options could perhaps be explored.
Fire and Stone is disappointing with half the menu not available.
The sunset deck is unavailable to visitors for sundowners when functions are on.
Milk in the room fridge was past due date.

Amazing setting. Beautiful beach. Feeding the dolphins was an amazing experience. A lot of tours available but pricey. We did the ATV activity and it was excellent. We snorkeled the wrecks on our own without any trouble. Not much choice for dining which was a disappointment.

Rusty, shower draine blocked. Requested 2 double or queen beds no one cared.
Rude staff

The resort is overrated. If it wasn’t for the dolphin feeding, it wouldn’t be worth the trip. Our room was old and had a strange smell to it. It took ages to get the water temperature right in the shower - turn the hot or cold knob ever so slightly and you end up with either super cold water or super hot water. A lot of light still comes in with the blinds down so you get woken up early. Housekeeping is not included. The property advertises free wifi but that’s only 200mb a day. Expected far better for the price we paid. Overall the resort feels dated and not luxury at all.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Can’t believe I’ve lived in QLD 20 years and never been here. Will definitely be back.

Loved our 3 days at Tangalooma .
Rooms were Clean and comfortable
Facilities were great , Loved that we could get a great coffee most hours of the day .
Beautiful walk to the ship wrecks, loved the dolphin feeding. Staff were great.
The only thing that was disappointing was the cold dry Burger and Chips I took back to the staff member who said did I want a replacement or a refund. I said I’d like a replacement if it comes out hot and the staff member said she couldn’t guarantee that so obviously I got a refund . This did not ruin my holiday but that clearly was not the answer I was expecting .

We loved the island! A great getaway for a few days and so close to Brisbane! Plenty to do.

Our stay unfortunately coincided with a cruise ship day. Nowhere was this mentioned and I would not have booked this date had I known. It’s just too busy with 2500 people visiting at once.
The boat transfer was great with a friendly, interesting commentary. How we nobody mentioned where the location of reception was so we had to ask. It’s not at the pier - it’s in the middle, quite a walk. Your luggage is conveniently taken to your room. Our Deluxe category room was available on arrival at 11am which was a bonus. This recent renovated room was in the 6 storey Kookaburra block and had an amazing view of the ocean. The king size bed was very comfortable and faced the view. Shower pressure was excellent however hot water took 5 min to come thru (don’t give up waiting - it gets there eventually).
The downside and main reason for my low score - smoking is allowed on the room balconies and we were subjected to the secondhand smoke of our neighbours. I find this appalling in 2023 - in Australia, where smoking is discouraged almost everywhere. When raised with management, there was nothing they could do. Suggestion: Do not allow smoking on balconies. Simple! It is disgusting
Food is below average. Dining is limited to a terrible Asian restaurant or a diner so if it’s a special occasion, don’t have any expectations.
Otherwise we had a lovely time. The wrecks were amazing snorkeling and the resort had a nice vibe.

This stunning property was just what i needed for a solo 3 day stay! My room was Devine, with beautiful views and the ocean so very crystal clear. The food in the beach bar is very expensive though, and my meals average for the price. I'd suggest the Malaysian restaurant... meals were fresh and hot! Activities were endless. but for me it was all about relaxing, ad that was achieved!

Tangalooma Island resort boasts one of the most beautiful beaches I have visited. Crystal clear waters, beautiful sandy beach, plenty of activities to keep everyone amused. However, what has impressed me the most is the wonderful friendly staff. Only thing that needs improvement is the selection of dining options. Pretty much limited to Asian or the pub meals.

The hotel was great, activities were excellent. The only down side was the BBQ - they over cooked the fish and it was tough, yes fish tough

I love everything about the resort except the room where we stay very noise, we can hear noise come from room on both sides and upstairs downstairs. Plumbing noise when people turn on water. Can’t really relax with the noise when we stay in the room.

We had many cockroaches (small sizes) even the hotel staff attempted to improve the situation with a common insect spray - just can not imagine what this will be during the hotter seasons. The room is full of sands on the floor - however this may be a feature here as the third large sand dune in the world. Personally i am not impressed.

We liked the location and the resort itself with everything at hand. The only thing we did not like was the condition of the mattress on the bed The mattress seemed to twenty years old as the was no springs left and the pillows were too hard.

Loved the location, staff were all so nice, rooms are a touch dated and need a broom so you can sweep up the sand each day :-)
