Cozy, delightful and great location

Clean and quiet. Good espresso machine available all hours, nice proximity to both the beach and downtown. Easy parking.

Absolutely horrible stay. Was extremely loud, room next to us had a group of girls singing very loudly on karaoke from about 10 pm until about 5 am. Management did nothing to quiet them. Came there hoping for a peaceful couple of nights for my cancer stricken sickly wife, instead she got no rest at all. I contacted hotels.com customer service right away at night, Syed said he’ll contact the hotel right away. He talked to the assistant Alondra and she told him to call back Monday to talk to the manager Calvin. I sent many messages to both Alondra and Calvin, got no responses. Then spoke to Alondra face to face when checking out, and she repeated same thing that only Calvin can help. Walked to my car in hotel parking spot that costs $15 a day, and the car 2 spots away from me had there van broken into, glass was everywhere. I received no refund or help from the hotel staff management or hotels.com, was only told no refund policy. Absolutely would not recommend this place.

Parking is offsite. Our vehicle was burglarized during our stay. Make sure to complete the vehicle form- leave nothing in your car- vagebons loiter in the vacuity.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Lobby well maintained and offered delicious snacks and coffee! Coffee self serve 24hrs.
Excellent water pressure.

Terrific little Inn!

As their site says, this is a real Santa Cruz experience. Between the Foster's Freeze around the courner, the bagel place out the back and a Zachary's just down a coupld of blocks, we didn't need a car to find great food.
The room was beautiful and everything worked fabulously, including both fire pits ourside the room. BTW the lobby has a great table for gaming.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The secluded, lovely courtyard, welcoming coffee and delicious brownies in the common area when we arrive, the upbeat, interesting, extremely helpful owner/office person made our stay 1000x better than expected. We would return should we pass through Santa Cruz again.

Very small and intimate property; only nine rooms. Quiet and conveniently located.

Booked this hotel at the last minute for Wharf to Wharf and it was a hidden gem. From the check in communication with Alondra to the delicious cookies to the clean and quiet room, this place was a delight. The fire pits had charm and we appreciated a place to fill our water bottles. They also had private parking-a bonus in downtown Santa Cruz. The bed was comfy and we slept peacefully before our race. The Boardwalk is right around the corner and you can easily walk to downtown for many different restaurant options.

Terrible experience. After telling the man at the desk like 4 times that I am traveling in by uber and that I would not have a car, this man (I believe the owner or manager) STILL charged me for a car on my receipt. What's nuts about this is that if you arrive after a certain time, they just leave a bill for you because the front desk "closes." SO after hours of travelling and desperate for a shower, I had to run down and try to catch him before he left, and he was annoyed and pedantic about it, acting like he definitely didn't try to slip this extra bill past me like I didnt tell him vocally and over text MULTIPLE times THAT DAY that I would NOT be parking on their property. They have to manually add this charge above and beyond your hotels.com, etc. booking, so it wasn't an accident. So, once they have your credit card for security, they cannot be trusted. Do not trust them and make sure you double and triple check your bill, even if you book on a third-party site, because they will happily try to sneak other things in. Crazy.

I enjoyed my stay there. The property and room were clean which I liked a lot. I liked high ceiling in the room as well. Just overall an enjoyable experience. Definitely would re-book here again.

Very Fair value, especially for pet owners.
Walkable to beach or downtown.
Parking a bit of a walk but you can load/unload in front.
Overall it was fine, and wife, and dog, are picky.

Nice relatively spacious room. Cookies in lobby were a nice touch. Stayed on the top floor and liked the walk-in shower. Reasonably quiet, given that it was on a main thoroughfare and we stayed on the Fourth of July! Only complaint is that we like a firm mattress and this one had a ridiculously pillowy memory foam top. Too soft! Had to actually flip the mattress over so it didn’t hurt our backs, but if you like a soft mattress this may work for you.

Had a great one-night stay at Pacific Blue Inn. Bed was comfortable. It is walking distance to shops and restaurants. I felt safe. We checked in late. We were provided with details of check -in and parking from Calvin. He also gave us his cell number if we had questions. All went very well and it was a great stay. Thanks.

Checked in after the front desk hours but pleasantly surprised with phone service. The room was very clean and cozy. We didn't expect much booking a hotel last minute, but this hotel deserves every 5 star review it received so far.

The best feature of this hotel is the location - only 4 minutes' walk from Kuumbwa Jazz Center (that is why I booked it) and 10 minutes walk from the Wharf and the Boardwalk. Also good: friendly receptionist, relaxing (jazz) music in the lobby; help-yourself coffee and tea machine in the lobby.
Things that could be improved: (1) The hotel room itself was very basic and rather depressing. Grey paint of 2 walls (I suppose it's consistent with Santa Cruz fog), almost no pictures or mirrors on the wall of the bedroom. (2) the AC machine was way too noisy. We had to sleep with the door open in order to keep the temperature cool .

Wonderful! Loved the location, the room was just what we needed and they were so helpful and accommodating. Thank you!

Very easy and convenient parking, and the hotel is in a great location. Calvin was extremely helpful and is also a great baker. I hope he deletes all the security footage of me eating basically all the brownies left out for the guests, but honestly, if he shares it online, then I deserve it.

This seemed to be the best/nicest place to stay in downtown SC in order to be able to walk to the concert venue.
It probably was, but it was just ok. Staff was incredibly direct and professional, but the room was just fine. A bit small, functional, but not comfy in the way we were hoping. “Good enough to sleep”

We had a great time, we will stay again. Tina at the front desk very informed and helpful. Hotel is very close to the downtown area and very walkable. You will need to stay in communication for check-in to ensure they are available you help you. They do have a after hours lock box to be able to access your room. We did not need but it was communicated to us the morning of check-in.
