The location is perfect. It's an old hotel but well maintained. The staff is excellent. Rooms are large enough and the breakfast buffet is generous.
4.2
The hotel is really nice and the staff is great. However, the street is very noisy with load music which I heard until about 4 a.m. every night in my room.
If you are looking for a quiet environment, this is not the place for you.
4.2
Close to restaurant and everything
4.2
I liked the ease to walk around all restaurants and clubs. The staff were incredible. Very helpful. I didn’t like the inconsistent warm, water pressure. Needs to be hot 24/7!
4.2
Loved this hotel! Staff friendly and took my laundry very cheap and easy. Breakfast was rooftop and best fresh squeezed oj she brought me 4 glasses and food was cooked to order. Literally steps away from everything you would want to see . La Cancha cevicheria close by was an amazing dinner cheap and 5 star experience

Great location and staff
4.2
The staff were amazing. The property is a vintage building so do not have any high expectations when it comes to hot water or updates appliances. The sink faucets were rusty and had tons of building. It was an awful experience. We just wanted to leave as soon as we got our room. The noisy was so loud, be prepared to fall asleep by 4am (thats the time everything closes).

Perfect location

Very clean, friendly staff. The pool is small and contained within the hotel in old city portion of Cartagena. Beautiful!!
4.2
Horrible. Smelly room, terrible water pressure, no hot water & extremely noisy
4.2
The site is convenient and everything you need is close by transportation, food and the staff service at the establishment is great and happy to assist
4.2
Property conditions are not the cutest one, rooms are too old, but the area is amazing, walkable, convenient, easy to move around, very strategic location

Is good

Hotel looks nice.
4.2
Nice hotel right in the middle of the Walled City or Ciudad Antigua. Very small pool but nice; good water temp and just right for a little escape from the heat. Air conditioning in the rooms is very strong as is the shower with hot water if you want it. (I preferred a cold shower from the heat in Cartagena!). Bed is comfortable and sheets nice. It’s not a 5 star hotel but suited my needs just fine. Rustic and not modern but quaint. The front staff was very nice with at least 2 people who speak English. Breakfasts are hearty and good. Recommend if you want to be in the Walled City which I suggest if you like touristy places.
4.2
Gorgeous historic property. Lives up to its reputation. The staff was amazing
4.2
This property was perfect for the price. The front desk people were great and always ready to help. The breakfast was lacking a little, but we always found good things to eat and the service was on point.
4.2
Amazing 4 th time there cannot complain
4.2
A central location with some very amenable staff, a great breakfast, and generally fine place.
As others have noticed, the vicinity to a nightclub that doesn’t close until 3AM can lead to some issues, and the AC may or may not work.
I think I also saw some people complaining about the patchy WiFi and television, and while there’s maybe a little room for improvement, you’re also staying in Cartagena, and maybe if those things are that important to you, you should consider spending more money on a chain hotel.
4.2
It is an old hotel in a nice area but it needs improving: bed super hard, old deflated pillows, damp smell, clogged shower.

Super

Constriction on the street prevents traffic from getting any cliser than a block from the Hotel entrance.Jack hammers begin at 8 am each morning.

Very nice

Great location! walkable distance to everything you need to visit at La Ciudad Amurallada. The hotel is also very unique and gives that old-school vintage vibe which we loved! The rooms were clean every day and the breakfast was awesome! definitely recommend it.

A terrible experience. Since arrival at 11am, I was told I wouldn’t be given my room until 4pm (way past a regular check in time). Three other parties arrived later than I did and were checked in. I know because I travelled with them. The service was aloof and no one knew what they were doing. I asked for a bathroom to change since I wouldn’t be able to check in and had a wedding lunch and they were hesitant to help me with one. They had no ironing services, but were nice enough to charge me $10 for ironing a pant and shirt (honestly given I wouldn’t be able to iron it myself I was OK with this). The room smelled like fresh paint thinner and smoke. The towels and pillows had such a strong cigarette smell. The windows had curtains poorly place and left the room and bathroom exposed to anytime passing outside 24/7 and had no fix. The shower was under a structure from the building and was hard to shower when it’s on your face (I’m 5,7, not tall at all). The towels seemed very used. The fridge stopped working and melted and I called twice for them to fix it, and no one ever came. I spent my entire stay dealing with wet towels on the floors and slipping and falling. No one knew where I could grab a bite or coffee. It seemed to be ran by school children. Outside, it’s ugly and the street it’s on is loud and seemingly unsafe. It was an overall annoying and nasty experience. I would never recommend anyone staying here

The staff were great! I travelled here with my husband and toddler and my son was treated so well. Would recommend this place 100%. Special shout out to Anthony who my son adored!

Hotel Don Pedro de Heredia was in a great location. Within walking distance to the major plazas and to the ocean. It's well maintained and the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.
4.2
Positives:
Great friendly staff
Quiet
Clean
AC was good
Fridge in room
Water pressure and temp of water was excellent.
Great checkout time 12 noon.
Great location.
Negatives:
No natural light in the room, I did ask for a room at the back so I guess it was my fault as I didn’t want it to be noisy. But it was like being in a cave to be honest, I know we should have asked to move but I’d been feeling ill and just wanted to get in bed.
Really small bathroom, I suppose I’m just not used to these type of hotels, but I’m surprised no one mentioned it.
Tatty Towels
Noise from the pool especially from screaming kids carried a long way. Again not the hotels fault.
I think if they mentioned to people when they were getting this room that there was no natural light it would avoid people finding this an issue when the arrived.
Would I stay again, probably not unless they did some upgrades
4.2
The staff was helpful and friendly. It's in a great location. The bed is hard. I ended up upgrading to a better room as the standard room didn't have much natural light.
4.2
A quaint place in the middle of the Old City. Staff is very helpful and several of the receptionists speak English. Breakfast buffet is tasty, with lots of fresh fruit and a nice view. I look forward to staying here again.

Great location, very clean, great customer service, and the family-operated boutique property had all of the old city charm we wanted for our three-night couple getaway. We knew to opt for an interior room for "noise control" of the street and adjacent bar with loud music. Our room was well-appointed but small because we booked last minute and could have had a larger one with an earlier booking. But everything we needed was there. Breakfast buffet was a great value at about $8 per person. Not the high-end hotel buffet, but it was well rounded and really got our day going. We could walk to all of the sites and were surrounded by unending shops, restaurants, street vendors and history. It was fun to explore all of the many rooftop bars. Many restaurants had live music, and everywhere you walked at night you would come across live music and dance performances in the street. We felt safe everywhere we went. We loved it!

Beautiful property with an excellent location. The staff was very curteous and attentive. I recommend this place for single or couple travelers

Everything was good
4.2
The bed was comfortable and room clean. The people both in reception and in the dining room were very accommodating and friendly. Hotel is quaint but can definitely use some updating and renovations.
4.2
The manager was very accommodating of helping me switch rooms to a quieter area. Very warm staff, lovely people.
4.2
This hotel sucks, for the price. Pay a little more and stay at a better hotel nearby. I’m surprised with all the hotels in the area that this hotel doesn’t maintain their rooms. Save yourself the headache and don’t stay here. Below is a list of all the issues:
Dead Cockroach in the bathroom
Wifi doesn’t work most of the time.
Bathroom fixtures were broken
Shower head poured water with no pressure
Noisy until 4am: ppl screaming, cars honking, loud bass music.
Room smelled like a flooded basement and mold.
TV did not work.
4.2
It was close to everything. Staff was helpful.

Such a beautiful property, the pool was so dreamy! Awesome location. Amazing staff! Everyone. Juan David was especially helpful. Great stay.

If you want to stay within the walled city, this is a good place. I say good but not great. 1st, the staff is great and are ready to help you with anything. The bed was a king but was probably 3 inches in height, so not comfortable at all. The bathroom is super small. It was hard to sit on the toilet since the wall is right in front of you. The shower pressure was good and plenty of outlets in bathroom. Next to hotel there is a bar and the music is super load until 0300, so if you are a light sleeper you might want to reconsider staying here. I liked that it had a safe. Go to Valentines Restaurant just around the corner, very nice atmosphere and it has air conditioning. In the room A/C worked but took a while to get going. TV has plenty of English stations. The hotel is situated in the middle and you can walk anywhere. Just don't talk to the peddlers cause they want money. Also, there are "rappers" that follow you and ask you where you are from. Don't talk to them or they will keep following you and rap to you and demand money.

The hotel accept the prostitution with the guests
