We appreciated the close vicinity to lots of things within walking distance! There’s also a happy hour in the evening. The hotel is a bit old and outdated, but serves its purpose. Something not mentioned is that there is a 30.00 charge per person per night per room. This was an extra 60.00 bucks we weren’t aware of until we arrived. The staff was very friendly.

They stole $60 of my security deposit due to pre-existing damage to my room which I reported to reception. The towel rail was broken on arrival in room 201. They said it was their policy to charge guests for the damage even when they've reported it as pre-existing. That is called fraud. I won't be the first person they've tried this with. Cleaning in the bathroom was virtually non-existent: when I arrived there was a fake eyelash stuck to the handle of the tap and it had not been cleaned off 2 days later, so I cleaned it off myself. This makes me question the thoroughness of their cleaning everywhere else. I'll be honest, my first thought before any of the above happened was "I don't know how this has been rated 4 stars", it's simply not anywhere near that quality and needs a little TLC before I would even put it in the upper tier of 3 stars. To the good points: the bed was comfortable, the shower was fine, and the location good. Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else, there are lots of options at this price point.

John was an amazing host at the villa. He helped us find some great places for food and drink that were less touristy, and was great to visit with during happy hour. Our room was pretty small and was in need of some minor repairs, but was great as a place to sleep and shower. We would stay there again, but would request a king size bed instead of a twin and full size.

I requested a king room and upon arrival did it get that. I also couldn’t charge my phone while I was there. There was also a big leak behind our bed. We didn’t get wet but could hear rain drilling in all night behind our head. No compensation was given for our experience and inconvenience.

This is an absolute GEM of a property in the middle of South Beach and retaining all of it's architectural small scale charm while providing a safe and quiet place to retreat to at night after great food and entertainment less than 5 mins away in all directions!

My husband & I stayed for the night prior to cruising. Our room was comfortable & clean. Front desk man (sorry, horrible with names) was fantastic & recommendations for local eats was FABULOUS!!!! Room is updated, some small areas (corners) in bathroom but overall its very neat & clean. Only "perfect" people will complain. We found our room quite comfortable & clean. We will definitely use this place again!!!!

The room was clean and nice. Property has a great South Beach location, just 5 minutes walk to Ocean Drive and famous beach, though it’s not in the middle of it, and tuck in the safe corner. If you’re looking for a a quiet place to stay, which is away from busy area with all it’s activities, you’ll like this hotel. Reception lady Jennifer was very accommodating with any our needs, and provided excellent service. I would come back to this hotel.

Broken outlets, leaking shower door, water damaged furniture and horrible smell of mold. Owner is strict, outlets requre the use of roomkeys to save money and check in is at a very strick 330 on the dot. Front desk staff is very friendly but over all, i would never stay here again. I do have pictures of the faults and moisuture catchers all over the room.

The room was horrible! There was only a sheet to sleep with, I was afraid to put my head in the bed. The soap holder fell off the shower wall while in the shower. There was some goop all over the mirror. Awful!!

Such a disappointing place!!! Photo and reality absolutely do not correspond to each other. Very shabby furniture, a terrible smell of mold, rust on metal things. Everything is old and ugly. They pretend to be a good hotel with bathrobes and their own beach, but it would be better if they paid attention to the appearance of the rooms and the smell. The rating is obviously screwed up. We paid for 3 nights at this hotel, but could not stay there even for a couple of hours and left it. Definitely do not recommend this place to stay. The only positive thing about this place is the management. But, this is clearly not enough for a good vacation.

Great Location!!! If you are looking for a trip to south beach and aren't going to be in your room too much this place is perfect. The Room serves it purpose but my TV didn't work and you only get a thin sheet for bedding. Front Desk was extremely nice and helpful and you also get to use umbrella and chairs on beach.

The location was very close to the beach. Restaurants everywhere but are pricey. The towels, beach chairs and umbrellas worked but could of used updating. Beach was very nice. Staff are all very friendly! No breakfast anymore should that needs to come off the advertising. Rooms were cute and a/c worked great. TV lost signal all the time, they must use an internet connection. Rooms mostly quiet esp being in a busy street. Stains on lamp, curtains and towels. Iron with burnt bottom. Bathroom door did not close. They left the used small samples all in a pile on the sink from previous use.
