Good comfortable stay in the heart of Valkenburg, really cosy and easy to access.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful location.
Staff were very friendly & the breakfast was great.
Will definitely stay again!

Very clean hotel, breakfast is so good and within walking distance to the tourist spots. I would recommend this hotel. Only in the toilet have a little step of stair is very unnoticeable, may twist your feet.

Great service! Cute family run hotel in the heart of Valkenburg! Close to everything. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! Great breakfast and lobby bar.

We had a triple room on the ground floor, it was really spacious, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds.
Location is perfect, a short walk from the Christmas markets, restaurants and the Christmas caves.

Enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious, room perfect. The staff, restaurant, bar and front desk made this a memorable stay. Thank you to all.

Great location, nice and clean, great staff.

From beginning to end, couldn’t fault this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were given an upgrade which was very nice and unexpected. The hotel was very well placed for the centre of Valkenburg and easy to find. Would definitely return. Well done!

Very pleasant Hotel in a good location.

Room was ok.
My room had a particular bad smell that increased during the night. It became a heavy sewage smell emerging from the bathroom . Even with the windows open it would not disappear.
It was not the first time as the hotel had put air fresheners in the bathroom.
Another issue was water pressure. Water would burst out the faucet and then shut off. The interval was random.
When I informed the reception, no apologies or compensation was offered.

Beautiful and special property!

Great location in town, with easy to access parking that allowed us to leave the car and get around by foot. We arrived early so our room was not ready, but were offered an upgrade for a small fee, which we took, so we could get in and get settled. The only thing wed have liked, which was not included, was a mini fridge. We opted for the breakfast buffet which had a great selection, including freshly made eggs. Would have loved to stay longer.

Clean tidy, welcoming and helpful staff. Good access to town centre. Repeatedly woken by people coming and going through access door next to room. Overall very nice and would stay there again, hopefully in a different room.

I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and at the time it was a starting to get dated. As it was recently renovated I booked one of the newer rooms for my recent stay. The room we got on the first floor was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. It is very close to the center yet on a quiet street and overall presents a great value for staying in this beautiful town.

The Hotel Scheepers is, on the face of it, a pleasant, generally well run hotel. We were encouraged, indeed told, not to pay until the day of our departure. When the moment arrived, hidden extras turned our final invoice into an unacceptable amount. Dont misunderstand me, the hotel was okay, staff pleasant, rooms clean, but my £1300 bill became £1850 in the blink of an eye. For example, I was led to believe that breakfast was included, yet it was charged at £50 per day. This is not a £250 per night hotel by any stretch of the imagination.

We loved the hotel, the staff and the town. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was a family room with 4 twins, it was set up like a king and two bunk beds which allowed everyone a comfortable sleeping arrangement. The town is quaint and looks like there is more to do than our time allowed. The street behind the hotel was quite lively. It is a little hidden from the main street and we didnt realize it was a busy as it is until the next morning. Bonus... the breakfast was delicious and had lots of options.

Hotel is within easy walking distance to Christmas Markets and downtown. Breakfast was a treat of a variety of hot and cold options. Secure parking available on site, but large cars would have a hard time as the lot is very tight. Most of the pictures show the newer/remodeled rooms at the back of the hotel, where as the rooms in the main building are not updated (which we happened to stay in). But the room was comfortable and clean.

This was my second stay in the hotel. Last time when staying in premium room, it was super nice, new, tidy and quiet. This time I had just standard room which was older and much more noisy. Still overall very good hotel to stay. Premium room have better value for the money.

Spent 1 night at the hotel last week and we arrived early afternoon onto Valkenburg. After checking in a climbing the steep stairs to drop our stuff on the second floor we grabbed the dogs (they allow dogs to stay at the hotel) and we headed into the old town. Great location as we were literally 2 minutes walk from a supermarket and5 minutes from all the restaurants, caves and castle. It was only when we returned to the room that we realised there was a horrid sewage smell in the bathroom and it was seeping into the bedroom. I spoke to one of the staff in the bar and she said to try running the tap for a bit as it clears then.....25 minutes later of a lot of wasted water there was no cheating of the smell and I went down again to speak to her. I was advised that there was nothing she could do until the morning so we had to spend the whole night in a room that smelt like a blocked sewage drain! When o spoke to the reception staff in the morning there was no apology, just a 'we'll get that checked by the cleaning girls'. Glad we were only spending the one night there as the room was extremely pokey and we will be finding other accommodation for our future stays in Valkenburg.

Chose this hotel as it was close to all the Christmas markets and restaurants but also far enough away to be quiet. No regrets, it is a lovely clean and friendly hotel with good staff and an excellent breakfast. We will definitely use this hotel again.

The hotel and staff were great, the breakfast one of the best ever, the rooms were hot but it was 91 outside, and they had fans in the room. The only bad point was my husband has difficulty walking and he had to climb 4 flights of stairs.

The staff and breakfast are outstanding. The rooms can be a little small, but are comfortable and clean. We were very impressed with how helpful and friendly the staff was during our visit. The hotel is also close to the Christmas market and the downtown walking area.
