Location was good. However, the air conditioner did not work in the room and when we went to find the manager (she was very difficult to get a hold of) she basically shrugged and said they had no fans available. My older son and I couldn’t stand the lack of airflow and ended up walking around the city at 4am just to cool off. The beds are basically roll away and collapse easy so be careful if you stay here. In addition parking is not free as described. Basically they say to take your car to the city’s free parking lot which is not close to the property and was full when we were there. We ended up paying $15 to park overnight. We would never stay here again.

Great location and good price. The hotel is old fashioned but clean with friendly staff. The loght could be a little bit better but that's all. I would recommend this place for everyone.

Near center of town, just keep in mind that parking requires daily payments and is about 5 min walk away.

The place is great, however, the shower in the room we stayed was extra small and we found a dirty towel still hanging there

The address is currently incorrect, but the correct address is a few doors away. There is a somewhat narrow time window when staff are present to receive you, between 2:30 pm and 7 pm, unless you make specific arrangements with them. The room and bathroom were fine and there is a common area kitchen. If on foot, the location of the hotel within the walled historic city is fine, not far from the central square but up a hill. Restaurants are also nearby. The bus stop to the nearest train station in Poggibonsi is at opposite end of San Gimignano's walled historic area from the hotel, but still within 1 km. Cars may approach via limited routes but only to drop off and pick up luggage, not to park.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment.
Shower access painfully tight. Some lights in the lounge flicker for a long time if turned off and on again. light globes missing in range hood. The microwave oven power cord runs over the induction cooker to wall socket. The smallest tv ever is provided. No tea or coffee.
Host helpful in giving our friends a lift with their bags, and recommendations for eating out.
Location is fine. Apartment is clean.

This hotel has several rooms and apartments, some nicer and bigger than others. The pictures on Expedia show many different rooms, so it wasn’t that obvious what ours looked like from the photos. As it turned out, the room did have everything that was promised in terms of beds and amenities, but it was smaller and simpler than we expected from the photos. The location was wonderful, on a very quiet street but only a 2 minute walk from the main street through town. Our room was not very sound proof. It wasn’t a problem because the street was so quiet and our neighbors were not loud, but we could hear a pin drop in the room upstairs.

Great place to stay in the town!

The location was spectacular. The advertisement states "free parking" which is really far away, and completely full. We had to park a bit away and pay, and to get that spot required parking illegally at the hotel and then moving it later after dinner to P3.
For an ancient town, the accommodations were great, with two bedrooms and two baths, plus a small kitchen. We could have stayed there a month! San Gimignano is our favorite town, so we would love to come back.

Nice and cosy place. Host was friendly and helpful. He showed us the way to the parking which was a 5 min drive away and drove us back to the car upon checkout.

The location is great since you can walk into the old centre, everything is very close. The room was not at all like the photo - no old ceiling beams, just a regular room. It was a bit noisy with other people using the common kitchen area at all hours.

Even us not speaking Italian and Maximo not speaking English we made a connection. His recommendations and tips were fantastic.

It was a great place to stay and the host was amazing, even helping me find parking!

Great location, very near the main plazas, for those arriving with a car, it is allowed to load/unload for one hour just in front of the door, parking is also nearby. Facilities manager very courteous, promply indicated best way to reach shopping, meals and attractions of this magic town.

Just in heart of San Gimigniano. You have to park outside the old city but can bring the car to unload and load the luggage. No breakfast, but well equipped kitchenet. The room quite fair.

The room is clean with air conditioning. It is close to the center and the owner introduced a very good restaurant to us.

We have stayed here three times over the last 10 years--and it improves every time. It is a very, very nice place with very nice people. Having a kitchen that can be used anytime is wonderful. And the rooms are spacious and clean. Also, it is a great location.

we had a great stay with kids in this facility. it was easy to get to and within walking distance to the centre.

Friendly and helpful check in - you call ahead and you are met at the hotel. After check in they lead you to free parking areas. The room and kitchen were good but the one major criticism was the sloping ceiling. I hit my head really hard on the low beams which marred my view of the room. Tea/coffee making was available but no breakfast.

There were 4 of us cycling the via Francigena with San Gimignano as a stop on our way to Rome. We checked in quickly and were also able to securely store our bikes separately. We had great accommodations for the 4 of us with a separate kitchen and dining room. Awesome views of the medieval town and the Tuscan hills from our windows did not disappoint. The town also exceeded expectations and I would recommend a stop here to anyone.

Fantastic place to stay in old city, old style room with everything you need, shared kitchen facility with fridge and microwave. Everything is within easy walking distance including the paid parking area. The host is so helpful, friendly and welcoming and obviously loves to help her guests.

If you rely on internet while traveling (which we do, heavily, for maps and for restaurant reviews and traveller tips), avoid this unit. The wifi internet was so impossibly slow that sometimes we couldnt even load a single webpage. So of course we had to cancel our scheduled VOIP phone call that we had with a client, and then even reaching the client to cancel was difficult (since pages wouldnt load). Donna Nobile management said they would reset the internet, but they didnt elaborate, didnt fix it, and didnt follow up to see if everything was ok. As for the room, it was smoky (disgusting!) because people in nearby rooms all around were smoking. This may or may not be the fault of Donna Nobile but is something to keep in mind because we ended up coughing. The windows were not covered very well, so if you prefer darkness for sleeping, its not great. I hit my head a couple times on the low ceiling beams in the room, and for the rest of the visit needed to be paranoid about avoiding them. The AC wasnt great and made sleeping difficult. There is a funky entrance-way that has many tiny doors and requires you to carry 3-4 keys with you so that you can unlock the many doors, and you dont get multiple copies of the key, so your whole group needs to stay together or coordinate. Old ratty discolored towels. Missing hairdryer. Surprise maid service when instead we would have preferred privacy of “do not disturb”. Bad communication. Took forever to meet for checkin.

The owner couples were extremely friendly and helpful, they waited for us until very late and let us check out late at noon on the other day. The room is very clean and comfortable, the decoration of the room is lovely and the location is quiet, it left me a very good impression to this small old town.

Very pleasant stay. Kind and warm hospitality. Very good location. Recommendable!

Hotel was on the "outskirts" of the small and beautiful San Gimignano. A little more walk will bring u there. Host, Rosetta was very helpful and friendly. She suggested a few areas which we could go to, thereby cutting a lot of time we might have wasted. Restaurants she recommended and a few sights we could go to. She even suggested she could call her anutime when we do need help !

perfect location for a 2-night stay for me and my wife in San Gimignano. tucked away just off the main streets, but with very easy walk to all. bed and room overall were very comfortable. bathroom was small but did its job. communal kitchen had a nice set up -- not much breakfast but excellent espresso makings. and they showed us where to park for free just outside the city, which made things very easy (and more affordable). and a 10% discount for restaurant peruca, just around the corner, which was our favorite meal! would definitely return here.

Cozy spot within the walls of San G. Good location. Stayed there 4 nights so the coziness ran its course a bit. Shower stall was very small as well as our room. There are more spacious rooms in this building. The hot water heater went out as soon as we arrived but Massi had it taken care of immediately within a couple hours and was very helpful and available during our stay. Generally speaking, its what I expected to get in a midevil town and the experience was great. San G is a great hub for touring the rest of Tuscany. The bus stop was a 7 minute walk and easy to get to Florence, Siena, Pisa, etc within an hour or so. San G had great food, gelato, shopping and of course historical sites. Its smaller than some of the touted Tuscan cities like Florence and Siena but the pace, ability to navigate was much better than trying to shop in the other towns and the selection of goods was outstanding. The weds open market was a lot of fun to explore.

A wonderful old apartment with a few rental rooms. Shared kitchen. Room is very small, but nice nevertheless. Cute bathroom. Right in the middle of the old city. The best part is the owner, who did not speak much English, but went out of his way to help in any way and made sure we had all the information we need. He helped us unload the luggage, found us a space to park a car, recommended places to eat etc. It was great.
