The hotel shuttle schedule thru out the day was perfect.

Lovely stay here as a couple. Beautiful old French colonial style building and large gardens out the back.
Although slightly out of the old town, this didn't feel like an issue as there was a free shuttle bus running AND free bikes available to hire from the hotel.
The service was top notch, big shout out to Pinky who really couldn't do enough to help!
I would recommend staying here when you visit Luang Prabang.

The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable! There’s a shuttle service into town (since it’s not within walking distance) which was very convenient. There’s also free bike rentals! The staff were very helpful and organized a trip to the waterfall for us. Laundry service was quick, and they’re installing a pool in a few months!

Great place to stay with my family, felt safe the whole time, plus you can bring food in and eat in the back. They have nice big dining table, can use their plates and utensils. Highly recommended 👍⚡️

Super helpful staff and owners, all the right facilities in this spot at the edge of town.

Excellent stay, very hospitable staff and great service. The breakfast is very complete, and the option to use a bicycle with no extra charge is useful. Luang Prabang is not big so it is easy to get around.
Extended my stay multiple times (ended up spending 5 nights in total).
Ms. Pinky and Mr. Phong were both incredibly friendly and willing to help with anything you may need.

I am so happy we booked this property, the entire staff was amazing to us. The hotel had a lot of amenities such as transportation on a set schedule to the night market and back. Even then, a simple conversation with the front desk could help accommodate any situation. Staff was constantly giving us recommendations and helped us navigate around Luang Prabang. Because of the location, it was very quiet at all periods of the day and night. I would highly recommend this place due to the staff and how nice the rooms were. Definitely coming back to this place when we come back to Luang Prabang!

Very nice hotel. Owners were extremely helpful with information about city, restaurants etc. They drove us to the city center and markets as many times as we asked! Property was beautiful, well maintained.

A little Gem that’s not right in town but has an excellent private bus to take you in Town.
Pinky was so helpful and delightful to speak with and her service was 100 percent, my family loved our stay and we will definitely be back!

Lovely place to stay and Pinky and the staff were really helpful and accommodating. Helped us to book coach tickets and arrange a driver to see the waterfall. Was such a lovely stay.

Beautiful wood and open air spaciousness with garden views and courtyard. Lovely personal attention by family who owns the property. Wonderful homemade yoghurt in the mornings. A real hot water deep soaking tub in our room--not an easy find! Lovely housekeeping staff. English is understood and spoken.
It's generally quiet unless a large group is visiting or there's an activity in the surrounding neighborhood. This is in the local village, not the tourist village, but they will drive you to the night market, or arrange as you desire.

Great customer service all around! Beautiful hotel. Bikes are included, and I highly recommend. I enjoyed being away from the city and swarm of tourists in the center of town. Breakfast was much better than expected...good mix between eastern and western. Stay there and feel well taken care of!

Relatively small family run property. Very friendly and helpful staff. Staff often goes out of the way to please e.g., provide transport to town center outside of scheduled rides with flexible pick up. Even cooked a quick dinner later at night and with minimal notice.
Rooms are clean with quiet surroundings.
Ongoing renovations (bathroom upgrade, addition of in ground swimming pool etc) promises an even better stay.

The reviews are very different from the reality I experienced. The hotel is well worn. The bathroom situation very awkward. The service very good. But that was not my main concern and why I choose to leave the hotel after one night and stay elsewhere for the following 2 nights, loosing my non-refundable payment completely. This was my 3rd visit to Luang Prabang and the reason to stay there is to be in the interesting historic district and near the river. This hotel is a good distance away from the main historic part of the city - I am not sure how I overlooked that when doing my booking. You are not really in the main part of the City. The cost here is only a little less than nice old rooms in historic guest houses. I would choose elsewhere unless you are studying at Ock Pop Toc which is nearby.

I booked this hotel because of the glowing reviews but we ended up checking out after only one day. I made it clear at time of booking and emailed ahead before my arrival, that a quiet room was sought. However, the main issue among others was the fact that the hotel is next door to a working saw mill! This meant loud sawing from 7am until late afternoon. No chance of a lie in or of enjoying the surroundings of the hotel/relax. On the first and only night the first hour or so was spent killing around twenty mosquitoes in the room, poor plumbing arrangements in the bathroom area where there were stagnant pools of water behind the bath didnt help. We slept in our nets that night. The walls were thin and we could hear next doors TV. Towels were grey and the cornflakes at breakfast were stale (coffee was also rather unpleasant). The owner was fab and arranged a trip for us at a moments notice but a strong, likeable character doesnt make up for the many problems here. We checked out and spent thre next three nights in another hotel. If you want somewhere cheap to crash and dont mind mozzies, noise and a bad breakfast then this place is okay. I decided that life was too short and paid more money to stay somewhere else.

This hotel is ideal for any tourists who would like to have a cozy and cheerful holiday. The room is cleaned very clean every day and you can have delicious breakfast at the hotel restaurant looking at the sunrise. I personally loved the fresh fruit which was very sweet.

Pinky was great, very helpful at all times. The free shuttle to the centre and free bikes were great too. The breakfast was delicious. Only trouble for us was having noisy children next door, it was blissful peace until the family next door started making so much noise. Walls are thin, maybe request a room far away from children if you’re looking to sleep in. I’m sure Pinky would be happy to oblige.

Room was confused. I order more expensive with bath tub but, but they assigned cheaper room with shower. After explaining room was changed to correct one, but bath tub was dirty and with lack of maintainance for some time as well as bathroom furniture. After informing the owner, we changed the room to another one, but bathroom condition was same as in 1st room. The most annoying was poor sound isolation. You can hear your neighbors talks, closing doors sound, splashed water noise and most annoying running chicken since 4AM. Bedroom area was clean and decent.

Staff were all very helpful, we had a small issue on arrival but Pinky soon resolved it and throughout our stay was always friendly and helpful, we would definitely go back when visiting Luang Prabang in the future, there maybe a new swimming pool going in for next year. Thank you Vangsavarth hotel for a pleasant stay.

We stayed in Luang Prabang for only 3 days but our stay was greatly enhanced by the friendly and flexible service of everyone at the hotel especially by Pinky. We wanted to venture to the night market of course and a bus took us there at our leisure but we did have to get picked up by a specific time of which was no problem and we didnât feel rush because we chose a time that gave us enough time to enjoy the night market. The breakfast is good, make sure you get the omelet because they are not sitting out and are made fresh for you. The room is spacious enough for two people and the king bed is more than enough and soft and comfortable.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Complimentary bike and airport shuttle made being outside the city centre not a big deal.

It was clean and cozy, great hotel. All the staff are friendly and humble people. I want to stay here again. Although the location leave from the city, but there is a free shuttle bus ,there is no problem. Rather, I was away from the city, so I could stay quiet at night. When I talked with the owner, she was thinking to make the hotel more better. I was very happy that because the owner tought about guests can enjoy their stay in Laos more funny. It was a 5 star hotel for me!I will go stay again.(pinky Thanks a lot for your kindness!)

Excellent customer service! As soon as we arrived, Pinky (owner) gave us an overview of Luang Prabangs sights and things to do. Ive travel a lot and no other hotel has done this (keep up the great service).Too bad we already had an itinerary, we only stayed for 3 nights and my parents havent been back to their home country of Laos in over 40+ years. This was a trip back to see their childhood village. Next time well be booking this hotel again.

The best part about the hotel is its owner/manager Pinky. He goes out of his way to help, guide you in LP. We did not have hot water any of the days which was hard. We told him on the 3rd day ( as we thought it was the norm because it was hot in August so they perhaps dont have hot water) and he offered to change the room - we got lazy and did not change. The room appeared damp mostly. If I have to do it again i would choose a hotel closer to main town. But Pinky and his mom are great!!

We walked into the lobby and were immediately met by possibly the most friendly person we have seen in our travels through Southeast Asia (which is really saying a lot, given how friendly people are everywhere!). After getting a copy of our passports, the manager sat us down and showed us a detailed map of the city with his recommendations for places to go. He also showed us pictures and gave recommendations of the fun touristy things to do around town. One of the warmest people we have ever met, Phone really made our short trip to Laos even more special! In addition to the friendly hospitality, the rest of the hotel was great. Our room was very comfortable, with A/C, a shower, and all of the amenities you would expect from a hotel in Southeast Asia. The (free!) continental breakfast was delicious, with pancakes, french toast, eggs (cooked to order), fresh fruit, juice, milk, cereal, coffee, tea, toast, and of course fried rice. There were many bicycles available to ride, also for free, which was very nice as Luang Prabang is a very bike-friendly city. If you dont want to rent a bike, there are free shuttles that go to and from the night market that leave quite often, and shuttles can also be arranged to go to all of the popular tourist destinations. When we come back to Luang Prabang (which may be very soon), we will definitely book here again!
