We stayed in an apartment which was like student accommodation, bathroom ok, beds small and mould and filler everywhere .. lounge/kitchen was ok but rooms smelt damp which was terrible
4.0
Comfortable, standard room booked, drain in shower needs clearing to enable free flow in drain.
Food and service the strongest points.

One member of staff (Abi) really shone. So poised, knowledgeable and professional, she created a 5* dining experience.

At check in, we were handed an envelope with information, no introduction from the man at reception as you would normally expect, information about breakfast/dinner times and locations. Not a friendly interaction or a good start.
Low level of cleanliness throughout the building. Hair all over the bathroom floor. I cleaned it up and gathered almost a full handfull of someone elses hair from the floor and within the towels. At breakfast, the cutlery and bowls were dirty, the tea bags had been emptied into a bowl and looked stained like water had dripped on them some time ago.
We visited the "bar", service was slow, there was no atmosphere in the the floor was dirty, there were dirty glasses left on the bar, one of our drinks came in a dirty glass.
Poor attention to detail at breakfast e.g. not the correct number of cups, missing/dirty cutlery, additonal charge of £4 for some breakfast items which seemed unnecessary. The cooked breakfast was really small 1 egg, 1 sausage, 1 bacon, 1/2 a tomato, beans & mushrooms. The couple next to us were offered 2 eggs, we were not.

Quiet room lovely breakfast safe

Lovely staff, always there to help. Good quality breakfast with plenty of choice. Only downside for us was the fact that our room was accessed through a glazed door that meant you only had privacy if you drew the curtains closed, which plunged you into darkness - opaque glass would be preferable. Overall though - recommended 👌

It was nice but bed was not very clean, it had questionable stains

The property is very prestigious looking and overall decorated tastefully. There is a vast contrast in room sizes and unfortunately ours was one of the smallest. It was a garden room situated in the car park courtyard. The bed faces the french doors so it was like living in a goldfish bowl. When you sat on the bed everyone looked in as they walked by. Absolutely no privacy, the room was crying out for a voile curtain. The room was however clean. You can hear alot of noise too, especially from the room above. The comings and goings in the car park was another issue.
The waiting staff were friendly and polite. The food was also reasonable.

We were in a room that is like a motel room with doors opening straight into the car park. It also appears to have a corridor at the back of the room to the main building so has 2 exits. The walls are paper thin and we could hear conversation from next door and noise from car park. The room has tiny cluttered bedside tables even though there is room for much bigger. Overpriced for what’s on offer

Very well maintained, clean and tidy

Close to the beach and promenade and very walkable to the town center with shopping and restaurants.

Spacious and clean room, lovely bathroom. Room service food not too expensive and very tasty. Even though there was a wedding going on, there was no noise from this such as music or giggling guests, around our room Good selection of channels on the large TV. Would stay here again

It’s a lovely friendly hotel where you immediately feel relaxed. The staff are lovely and the breakfast selection is terrific.

Great stay as awlays

Positives - staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location for access to beach side walks and village.
Negatives - room had a number of maintenance issues - Wall mounted TV had to be switched off on plug behind the TV ?? TV remote also did not work. Toilet seat loose and moved about. Shower door was broken. Bedside light not safe. Breakfasts were OK, nothing to rave about.

This was our second time of staying at this property. The previous time we were outside in the courtyard whereas this time we were in Room 1 within the hotel. We preferred being in the hotel. A slight smell of cooking invaded our room but was far more prominent in the corridor outside our bedroom door. This review and our impression of the room/hotel centres around a poor night's sleep due to the comfort of the bed. Obviously this is subjective but the bed creaked every time my wife moved, right hand side of the bed, the mattress did not seem to be a good quality with a memory foam topper. We experienced another poor mattress during our first stay. The breakfast was good and the staff were very attentive. The bathroom would benefit from a hook for clothes.

Lovely and clean apartment. They have everything you need for a short break. Will definitely stay here again

Friendly helpful staff. Clean, yet a rather compact room. Fine for 1 night.
Lovely towels. Lovely shower.
No shelf to put anything
Breakfast - Self service rather poor. Very limited availability - poor quality bread, preserves, and cheese. No rolls, croissants, pastries. However basic cooked breakfast good and ok portion size.

Really friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was very good with lots of choices.
The room was probably the smallest I have ever stayed in. The bathroom door had a spring behind it causing it to bounce back towards you every time you opened it, very irritating. The bathroom was also tiny but the shower was a good size and the flow and temperature were consistent. Overall a pleasant stay, but the rooms do need updating and a deep clean. The bed was very comfortable.

Advertised as super fast Wi-Fi. This was virtually non existent. Not grant as telephone signal not very poor.
They did not come to make up the room until 3pm. At that point we were back for from our day out so turned down the offer.

Great location. Lovely spacious room, well equipped and decorated. Terrible water pressure and poor wi-fi.

We stayed here for one night as part of a Welsh Roadtrip.
The room was ok, but as our room opened onto the car park, you couldn’t leave the door open to get any air in, there was no windows. The bathroom was fine except the hooks on the door which my husband kept hitting his head on! The mugs were not particularly clean, they had a stained coffee ring inside. It was ok for one night but any longer I wouldn’t have felt comfortable.

Nice room and great service, as always

Friendly and comfortable hotel. Good value for money

I know it’s down to shortage of staff, but would have been nice if when shown room they checked tv, which did not work, and the shower should have either a shelf or handle.
Food was good

Great hotel just situated 1 mile from the mumbles. Room (1) very nice and quiet although the shower output was pitiful. Food surprisingly good.

Great room

Extremely loud generator next to my room that went off all night at random intervals waking me up. Terrible nights sleep overall due to this, when I complained to the woman at the desk she said she was sorry but it was needed for another room…not sure this is entirely helpful when all I needed for the hotel was a good night sleep
4.0
It was a good comfortable, convenient stay with an excellent breakfast

Very friendly staff. Good sized room and lovely bathroom. Shower was really good and lovely soft towels. Hope to return.

Not the fault of the hotel but mobile signal was erratic. This may be seen as a plus however!

We had mixed feelings about our stay here. It’s a great central location, clean and the staff are helpful . But for a no frills hotel it really needs to get the basics right to justify the price they charge. Our mattress was old and uncomfortable, the pillows were lumpy and there was no soundproofing between the rooms. We did not get a good nights sleep which is all we were looking for from this hotel. The breakfast was acceptable..
With better attention to the sleeping provision, this could be a good tourist hotel .

A very comfortable hotel. Lovely room and staff friendly & helpful. Excellent location.
