We’ve stayed at this hotel many times, appreciate the location, separate bedroom and the appliances in the suites. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
We travel to Chicago for opera, museums restaurants and to see friends.
4.2
Elevators HAVE to be improved. The waiting time is just ridiculous.

The pros: All of the staff people I encountered--from housekeeping to front desk to valet--were lovely and helpful. The location is convenient.
The cons: You will wait for an ETERNITY for an elevator to your room. (This is especially problematic if you are trying to get to a work appointment on time or waiting with young children.) There is siren noise all night long (it's even loud from the higher floors). The complimentary breakfast was largely inedible. The hotel and rooms are only moderately clean.
We had an ADA suite our first night (it was the only room available when I booked). I don't currently need any ADA accomodations, but I noticed many features of the room that would have made getting around challenging for a person who used a mobility device--including the fact that the clearance between the window and the foot of the bed was barely 18 inches wide. All of the artwork had been removed from the walls which made it extra sad. The AC/heat unit leaked and left a huge puddle on the carpeting. We moved rooms on the second night to a regular suite and it was much better/cleaner, but still not great. If it had been more reasonably priced, the value might have been okay, but for what we paid it was ridiculous (even for a large city). I would not stay here again.

Location was ok. Bit of a walk to the River but no big deal it gives you a chance to view the scenery. Close to Restaurants Shopping and Bars.
As everyone mentions the elevator service is terrible.
Hotel is a bit dated bit our room was cleaned everyday.
4.2
Great location, kitchen facilities are helpful. Breakfast was good but a lot of bugs flying around the food.
Kids loved the pool. Wait times at peak for the lift was crazy but its well documented Our longest wait at 8.45am was 20 minutes.

The location of this hotel is great, and the room was clean but outdated. I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and had a good experience. It appears that it hasn't been touched since then. The hallways were dirty and cluttered. The first thing that struck me was how dirty the room doors were, and they appeared as though they had not been painted since the place opened. The breakfast in the morning was good and had a lot to offer. I read a lot of the negative reviews on the elevators. The waits were a bit long but not as unreasonable as some said. Overall, I would say this hotel is fine for an overnight stay due to its location. I would not stay here for multiple nights.
4.2
While we did not get the lake view room we’d reserved through Expedia, our city view room was acceptable and the price was adjusted accordingly. We didn’t spend a lot of time in our room, but it was comfortable and the location downtown was great. Breakfast was included and a good start to the day.
4.2
The elevators are a nightmare. Expect to wait up to 30 minutes to get from one floor to another. The pool was disgusting and needs a serious upgrade. The surrounding pool deck was covered in hair and filth and the floor was destroyed and disgusting. The rooms and staff were nice but not worth the money AT ALL.
4.2
Very clean, staff were excellent, close to all ammenities.
Elevator took a while to come to the floors ( i belei e the service elevator was down) our room was not ready on checkin
4.2
Our room was lacking a bit in upkeep and cleanliness, elevators were an issue (as has been mentioned), but the staff was awesome!
4.2
No one ever picked the phone. No bell cart avaiable. Elevators wait yime was so long. Took up to 25 minutes
4.2
big elevator problem

The hotel is in a great location and there’s a beautiful view of both of the lake and the city. We were looking forward to using the pool, but it was not clean or safe. There were tiles on the pool deck that were actually broken and lifted up with muddy grout spread where you had to walk. They just stuck a floor sign over and left it. Also, the elevators weren’t working properly and it could take up to 20 minutes to get an elevator. because of this way too many people were jamming themselves in the elevators. Several people missed breakfast because they close it promptly despite the elevators being broken. I would not recommend staying here again

Great

Rooms were spacious. Elevator was a nightmare!!! So busy and had to wait forever. The front desk was unresponsive to calls. The rooftop pool was nice but a lot smaller than I was expecting. Overall, it was okay.
4.2
Excellent breakfast and very good service from front desk, cleaning and breakfast staff! Bed was comfortable, room was clean and good size!
Good water pressure during showers and always enough warm water!
Bathroom shower could be updated and elevators were very full at times!
4.2
Very nice hotel for the money.
4.2
The hotel seemed to be understaffed-almost impossible to get some of the answer the phone at the front desk- but everyone we talked to was very helpful. We had a great stay.
4.2
Always stay when I go to Chicago
4.2
Would never stay here again, elevators took at least 30min to go up or down. Beds were uncomfortable, we had the suite and property is outdated, rooms were so hot ac never worked. Definitely not worth the price only okay thing was location
4.2
Great location and very friendly staff including the valet. Waiting 20 minutes for an elevator was very time consuming of course and the hallways could use a deep cleaning
4.2
Front desk and housekeeping services were very kind and helpful
4.2
Lift service is VERY bad- always have to wait atleast 15-20 min to go up and down- Breakfast is free but you hardly find anything available except bread and Jam - banana are out all the times, Oatmeal is there but no toppings- I would not go again here -
Location is good though -
4.2
No luggage carts, the slowest elevators known to man, unaccommodating staff, severe water damage in room, cockroach in room, bugs in shower, hair weaved throughout bedding, dust everywhere, an odd smell in the hallway. Stay somewhere else.
4.2
on site store was empty had to walk to Walgreens to get washing powder and snacks each day
4.2
The room was far tinier than what the photos showed. There was also so much traffic flowing through the hotel that every morning it was a 10-12 minute wait for the elevator!
4.2
The room was great! The kitchen was spacious and stocked. It was nice that the kids slept on the couch and that was a bit separated from the king bed. There were plenty of towels, etc. They breakfast was kinda plain. Could have used something to make it stand out a bit.
All the service staff was excellent especially the man who did the breakfast. It’s really one person doing the job of two people. He was busting it.
The worst part of the stay was the elevator. Both days it took 20 minutes (which feels like an eternity when you’re trying to get out for the day) to get down the elevator. My wife commented that they could double the number of elevators. We think they’re broken because we noticed it only seems to stop in the way up and never on the way down. Limit elevator trips if you can.
4.2
The room was dirty wallpaper falling off bathe wall. Room smelled like smoke
4.2
Great place to stay. Pool on roof is amazing, just need to be patient with elevators
4.2
BED BUGS!!!!! My husband and I woke up with bites on our arms and I had two more on my forehead…and we found a bed bug body that had been squished in the bed. I told the front desk worker who said someone would contact me…NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME!! She also gave me two emails just in case no one contacted me…so I emailed both emails and NO RESPONSE!!! Absolutely awful customer service plus a traumatic and disgusting experience! I would not recommend this hotel unless you want to be bit up by bed bugs and possibly take them home with you plus the customer service is nonexistent. Oh and plan to wait forever to get a elevator. Find somewhere else to stay!!
4.2
Old hotel that is dirty and not updated in any way, rooms or amenities. The staff was not helpful in any way. Booked it through Expedia for 3 nights but only stayed 1 because of a variety of issues I had and the property won't refund.
Only positives were location and room size.
4.2
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! They oversold the hotel and we were stuck in Chicago with no where to stay. We had to find a replacement hotel (luckily we did); but all the staff kept doing was blaming it on how management set and oversold the target at 105 percent. While we sat there (for 3 hours) we watched staff fight, sit there and do nothing, and have complete disregard for the experience their guests were having.
4.2
Soild for the price. Good location.
4.2
We had to wait a long time for the elevators in the mornings between 7-9
4.2
The air conditioner in our room could not keep up with the heat outside and got worse throughout the night. The wait time for elevators during breakfast/checkout time is ridiculous we waited for almost 30 minutes for an elevator to stop at the 18th floor which caused us to miss our train. However, the staff was the friendliest I have encountered in quite some time. The room was very clean and quiet.
I will not stay there again though due to the problem with the elevators. If I have to carry all of my luggage down 18 flights of stairs or wait 30 minutes for an elevator, it’s not worth it.
4.2
Elevators take forever trying to go down, but over all a good place to stay.
4.2
Great experience!
4.2
In the heart of downtown so it’s very close to good and public transportation. Breakfast was good.
Hot water is NOT the plentiful. Didn’t get very hot and ran out by the third person showering.
4.2
Worked well for me and my young Family.
4.2
The breakfast was really bad, at two days they were out of milk and orange juice. The variety was very small.
