We checked in on thanksgiving and stayed for one night. The hotel was very busy. The staff were super helpful with check in, recommending restaurants around and places to snorkel. The hotel restaurant Placita has nice thanksgiving dinner which we booked ahead of time. The location of the hotel is very nice since it is right across the meeting point of Taino bio bay kayak tour. It is also close to a few restaurants with vegetarian options. Right across the hotel there's a place for renting golf carts and snorkelling gear as well. The hotel room is comfortable but the AC is always very cold even though we turn up the temperature already. There's no TV in the room. Rooftop is very nice, with a bar and a hot tub there. The checkout time is at noon, they allow us to store our luggage there for a few hours there, and when we come back they let us use the shower and lent us beach towels without charge before we head to the airport. Probably the best hotel in Esperanza and the most convenient if you're going to bio bay.

The restaurant service was terrible. When I checked in, they told me that I could charge the bill to the room. They didn't let me because I was a group of 8 people.

Beautiful property with some hick ups. Fan in room turned on by itself, mist likely caused by the neighboring rooms control. Was a bit scary as it sounded like it would fall off any minute. The bottle proved for guest was dirty and smelled like mould, the cups smelled of cigarette. Bed however was super comfortable. The roof very beautiful. We dined at the restaurant. During the reservation I was asked if we are celebrating a special occasion which I was celebrating my birthday. Not just did we have to wait for 30 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge us after being seated by the host but no mention of my birthday. Service was rather underwhelming considering how outstanding the food was.

It seems that it is family run and they protect each other, so no one can complain. The restaurant has a dress code... it's weird when you're on the beach and it's the only activity you can do... very weird, but uncomfortable.

We stayed at El Block for two nights weeks after a storm and there was a lot of seaweed all over the beaches, so in all fairness we did not get the best Viequez experience. But the hotel was well worth the price, very clean, and in a great location when weather conditions are normal. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would totally recommend it.

This hotel was well situated and has an artsy modern design. The terrace is awesome and the layout is fun. The bed was small, but comfortable. The staff were friendly and engaging and it felt safe, secure and it was quiet . The restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday and the food was great. Tours pick up across the hotel which is convenient.

No in-room service. We got a queen bed room. We had no idea how to book a king bed room. The room was extremely humid and small.
Only highlight was the food on the first floor! Very tasty. I got the fish taco; super juicy and crispy. I also recommend the pork belly if you like the kind of pork in ramen.

The room was ok, we were there on a Wensday the rooftop and restruan was closed. we can back from night tour around 10PM and nothing opens, beside lazy jacks, and they dont offer takeout. it was a pain to get food after 10pm

We stayed here because we did the bioluminescent with Taino and they meet in the lobby here. Beds were very comfortable and restaurant dinner was AMAZING!. Bathrooms were small bit not a deal breaker. Would definitely stay here again. We stayed on Thursday.

Prices are too high. The property is more like a Parador/Motel than a Hotel.

Clean hotel and rooms with a nice balcony. Great location, as beach and restaurants within walking distance.

The design of the hotel was really cool. The view from the roof was amazing. The food at the restaurant and the drinks at the rooftop bar were horrible and overpriced. Some of the staff were nice, but overall not very welcoming.

We stayed for one night before we checked into our villa for our wedding. It was good for the most part, except the elevator being out of order and them putting us on that floor where it didn’t work. Three nights later we came to visit some friends who were here for our wedding and staying at El Blok. The lady at the hostess stand threatened to kick our friend out of the hotel if we went up to her room and saw it briefly. She was incredibly rude to us and our friend, despite us being the reason 6 people stayed there for almost a week. After that treatment, we won’t be back. I’d recommend checking out any of the dozens of other options that are just as nice and will treat you with kindness and respect. Casa de Amistad is a better option. El Blok is not it.

Best hotel on the island. Keep in mind only the hotel rooms are air conditioned. They are strict with can’t check in any time before 4 and much be out not later than 12. Transportation is very limited on Sundays and Monday (not sure about other days because we were only there those 2 days). Bar, restaurant and rooftop service is also very limited. But Sunday Funday after 6 was extremely nice. Prefect for sunset, great music and really good strong drinks. They had elevator issues so we had to use the stairs a lot which was a huge inconvenience.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooftop bar w hot tub. It's location is prime to the beach, lots of food different food options, and transportation options. The restaurant in the hotel was also excellent. Was able to rent an atv and explore about 5 different beaches on the island, and make it to the Crab Rum distillery on just a half tank of gas.

I paid more than $300 per day and the room don't have TV, the elevator don't work properly (I used the stair to going down) and the service was very poor.

Great place to stay and easy access to all in the island.

The staff were all really friendly and accommodating and the location was wonderful for excursions out of Esperanza. The room itself was a bit cramped, though.

Great location, great restaurant (the pork Osso was incredible), comfy bed. The staff go above and beyond, with grace and friendliness that made my stay all the sweeter.

This place was so pretty and cool! We really enjoyed the rooftop. It’s also walking distance to the Bio Bays tours and a bunch of nice restaurants. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

Very nice staff. Rooms are basic but well designed. Enjoyed the balcony. Complimentary morning coffee and water filling station on second floor. The rooftop is beautiful and open 24 hrs, even when the bar is closed up there.
Walkable to many restaurants and bars. Can hear some of the street noise (or loud car radios) from our room but we could sleep through it.
Would recommend.

It was unfortunate that the lobby and roof bar are closed midweek. Very disappointing.
Also, I am waiting for my $250 security charge to be refunded.

We chose this hotel because it received consistently high ratings, had a well-regarded restaurant in-house and was conveniently located for the activities we wanted to do while in Vieques. The location is indeed very convenient. It's right across the street from the pier and beaches and our tour operators picked us up right in front of the hotel. It was also in very good condition andthe views from the rooftop terrace amazing. The less-than-great parts were that the restaurant hotel, which we really needed given the variability in local food options, was closed the entire time we stayed there. The restaurant and rooftop bar are only open Thursday through Monday, and there is no breakfast food or beverages of any kind on site other than water and ok coffee on the morning.
Our primary disappointment about our stay was the attitude of the front desk staff, who to a person acted like we were inconveniencing them from the time we checked in until we left. It is for this reason alone that w will stay somewhere else the next time we visit Vieques.
I guess the digital bracelet room keys were novel.

Rooms were dirty and there was a musty smell. Initial room smelled like smoke, so changed to another room which was smaller, out of date and dirty.

Way overpriced. No dinning available, no rooftop bar available. nothing at all to do here except sleep. I excepted a bit more bang for this overpriced hotel. The hot water is sketchy at best, we were given some advice on how to get hot water in the shower, which had something to do with turning on the sink first. The positive, the building and rooms are trendy and nice to look at.

Hotel and staff was great. Restaurant La Placita not so much. Food was ok, not superb as before. Executive chef left and opened El Plaza in Isabel II, food there was awesome!
