Lovely place to stay. Would recommended

This is a good stopping point for an overnight stay. The hotel is very handy for the rail station & the staff are very helpful & pleasant. The food is first class. The room ( single) was small & the bathroom even smaller- but ok for one night. It was a bit disconcerting to be unable to access the garden area during the time the pub was closed. This needs to be addressed as guests won’t realise the only area open to them is their room until the pub opens!

Lovely staff and food. Excellent ale.

Comfortable bed and tea/coffee, access to warm shower. Nice pint of Guinness in the bar! Sadly I got there too late for an evening meal, and was up too early for breakfast. Just a brief stopover for a business trip.

Always a pleasurable stay.

Very nice stay all round, would definitely book there again.

Took the ensuite room, toilet is too close to the shower unit so can't actually be used.
Water practically ran out, was unable to shower and had to brush teeth with a trickle.
Bed was very springy and loud, wasnt particularly comfortable.
Otherwise the room was clean although a strange smell.. possibly from kitchen below.

No ensuite facilities. Hot water tap not working in bathroom

Had to pay another £20 when I arrived.. after already paying in full, or I would have lost my booking and money..
Room was dirty, sink in the bathroom was dirty.

Great friendly local pup. Reasonably priced restaurant meals. Room smelled a bit damp & bathroom could do with a bit of maintenance but we were happy with our stay.

The best thing about the Station Hotel is that is adjacent to Worksop Railway Station there is not much more to write home about this run down and unclean ‘hotel’ which though relatively low cost does not provide any value for money, comfort, reason to stay again or recommend.
You check in at the bar however the staff cares nothing more than taking your money and ID, did not help with luggage or directions to the room, no information about the hotel amenities. They just did not care about me the customer.
The double room was very compact, was extremely dirty, especially the stained carpet, and the bed was very uncomfortable given that the mattress was old and worn out.
The room benefited from a nice modern TV yet the Wi-Fi worked when it felt like it.
Noise from the main road outside was to be expected yet the thin internal walls meant that you could hear everything that was going on in the adjacent rooms which prevented sleep.
The bathroom was some distance from the room and was also unclean with limited water pressure from the shower.
On departure I met, the apparently long-standing head housekeeper, she was under the disillusion impression that she was running a five-star establishment and could see nothing amiss with the hotel, how pathetic.

There is No on suite the bath room is at the end of the corridor, there was no remote for the TV, although when I called to report it they did bring me one. You need to unplug the TV to plug in the kettle, if you want a cup of tea.

Perfect stay after booking last minute! Food was delicious too!

Bearing in mind it was a room above a pub, it was comfortable enough. The price of the one night stay matched the amenities, e.g. floor boards that creaked (as did my neighbours) and a basic bathroom.
Regardless, I'd go again.

Back to very basic. Reminded me of holidays as a youngster in the 1960's!

The pub its self is lovely and was very busy so book in advance if you want food there. Rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need, even a little fridge in our room which was a massive bonus! Towels good size. Down sides were room smelt of cigarettes especially in the bathroom, could have done with a spare loo roll and room tired in parts. But all that is reflected in the price. It was great location and great for an overnight stay. The staff were lovely and recommended their sister pub for food which was just a short away and that was really lovely. Would certainly stay again.

The hotel was easy to find when arriving late at night, just a short walk from the station. Staff were friendly. It was just what I needed for an overnight stay and great value for money. Although I booked a single room with shared bathroom, it had a sink which I wasn't expecting. The rooms are basic but clean which is exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend for anyone wanting a cheap place to stay for a night, close to the station.

poor quality bedding, shabby decor. Cramped en suite. Over priced.

Very pleasant stay. Attended a wake/funeral. Nice hotel with friendly staff.

Third time I’ve done this, a disappointment, the room was not as picture of room, too confined a single bed room.

Relaxed and comfortable, a nice friendly atmosphere and great food.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Mistakingly I left a coat and a fleece in the wardrobe, the manager kindly posted them to me without hesitation.
Cheap and cheerful, I work away from home and regularly pay a lot more elsewhere for a similar room

No heating working in my room. I had to fight to get a fan heater.

Friendly staff, nearby parking and very good quality WiFi. The room was comfortable and I was disturbed by no noise. Breakfast is not usually served (as claimed on Hotels.com) but the good location and nice bed means I would stay here again.

Hotels.com have description wrong. The hotel does not do breakfast. Bar and service were good. The room was ok for short stay but tired and cramped especially bed as could only get out 1 side. Wouldnt stop me staying again for an overnight though.

Room was excellent (en suite), clean and spacious. Staff very friendly. Only frustrating thing is that Sunday lunch finishes at 4 pm and there is not an inclusive breakfast (as advertised). Apparently the venue have informed hotels. com to no avail. Luckily there is a great European restaurant round the corner!

The bed linen was really white, and gave the impression it was very newish.
The accommodation was very good value for the money.

I think this hotel is a good deal. Clean rooms and a good bar. The only possible negative is that hotels.com advertise "with breakfast" which has not been available for some time. I enjoyed my stay and will book again.

Although an older building and in need of a little attention, it was extremely clean, the staff were extremely friendly, and professional making me very welcome. The food was extremely delicious and piping hot.

It doesn't pretend to be what it's not. Its effectively a pub with rooms, but the rooms are clean & comfortable. Just make sure you book en suite...
Oh, and the food in the bar really is amazing!

Hotels.com advertise breakfast but this hotel doesn't serve breakfast. As it was a Sunday the place over the road the hotel recommends was closed but we found a fab alternative about 5 minutes away on Gateford Rd called Snakattak. Otherwise the stay was great. Worksop is a bustling market town (at least while we were there) with a lively market that meanders along the High Street and very friendly locals. Will definitely go back.
