Great stay, easy check in with friendly staff. Comfortable beds and nice quiet room. Would highly recommend.

Loved the view from my room. Magical skyline filled with beautiful historical architecture.

Nice property. Staff were lovely.
Convenient to centre of Exeter.
Some solar lights might be nice in the garden for a late evening sit down after a busy day.

The property was a lovely place to stay I would stay again when I come bk down again

We stayed in the studio suite and it was perfect. The hotel calls itself ‘home from home’ and this is exactly what it is. The room was a perfect size for me and my boyfriend and the bed was so comfy!!
The hotel manager Emily was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond for my boyfriends birthday.
Our French Bulldog loved the courtyard outside making new friends and watching the birds.
The only have two criticisms I have is for our 5 day stay, the towels/bins were only changed once and this was upon request. Also, it is advertised by Expedia that the parking is free however it is not- it is £11.20 a day.
Other than the parking and the towels/bins, I would highly recommend staying and the Bendene Townhouse.

Hotel has great location for centre. Rooms are basic but clean. Receptionist was lovely and decent coffee machine in lobby which guests can use.
Our stay spoilt by noise at 3am to 4.30am by group of drunken lads (as summer and had windows open). However they weren't staying at the hotel and just unfortunate event.

Affordable place to spend a night. Lots of dining options within walking distance.

Very friendly staff. Cute little rooms. Shared bathrooms. Great option for the price point.

I can’t speak highly enough of the lovely staff at Benedene - it felt as though they had a genuine warmth about them. Location and price were both excellent and it’s a gracious building. I had the shared bathroom option which was fine. The mattress in my room could probably use replacing but I still enjoyed my visit and would stay again.

Lovely place to stay for a few nights, location great for the city centre. No parking but plenty of local car parks to use.

Really comfortable, kitchenette was so convenient, location fantastic for the university and bed very confy

Perfectly fine for my needs

There were definitely a few maintenace issues: squishy bathroom floor, unfinished blinds, very slow draining shower.
The housekeeping was mediocre and completely missed one day.
Beds too soft for my liking.
Staff were great; friendly, helpful and very cheerful. Emily and Jasmine in particular were terrific.

Excellent find, near the center of the city between two train stations. Friendly and professional staff, and very basic but well-kept accommodations.

Shower was pitiful. Everything else fine.

Very nice and polite staff. Very helpful too

Very friendly and welcoming, and looked after my luggage between check-out and my journey home. Currently doing some re-painting in the halls and stairs so there were mats out and signs warning of the wet paint but otherwise couldn’t be happier

All the staff here are a pleasure and are very polite and enthusiastic and willing to help and that is something I would gladly rave about! It is also very female friendly, in reference to experience and the area, as it's in close proximity to public transport access and other amenities. It is very well cleaned and maintained and I guarantee that you'll have a wonderful stay.

Arriving around 6pm, I was met with a smile, and a very friendly greeting. It felt like I was visiting a friend. As I was only staying for one night, I got a free upgrade, to a lovely king room. French doors led to a spacious and neat terrace. Oh, the happiness on finding a room with excellent ventilation, rather than a window which opens only an inch! In the morning, I left, knowing that Bendene is the only place I will stay when next I visit Exeter.

Could accommodate for people’s vehicles. Had to pay each day like £8 to park 20 minutes away from the hotel !

The Bendene Townhouse was a great accommodation for my time in Exeter. I wasbeven upgraded to the penthouse room which had lovely views of the nearby church and college. The facilities were also great and staff were nice and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately it appeared that the carpet on the room had not been hoovered, there was empty food wrappers under the double bed from previous occupants. The shower was blocked and the toilet seat was not attached properly on one side. The shower was fixed very quickly when mentioned but the toilet seat was not.
The room was very very stuffy, because there was only a patio door for fresh air, obviously this couldn’t safely be left open through the night and so it got uncomfortably hot with 4 people in a small room during a very hot weekend in September. The blinds for the door did not block out much light so we were woken at sun rise. We did buy some black plastic bags and stick them to the patio doors to reduce the light as after all this was a holiday so wanted to try and sleep in a little past 6am.
The bathroom fan pulled in a smoky smell which was quite unpleasant as well. The smell went when we turned off the fan.
The beds were clean and tiny however very firm mattresses.
Staff were very friendly and location was very central.

Great value and close to the centre of town.
Ongoing refurbishment is good to see as its needed a little. Some areas look a bit tired and the shared bathroom needs a freshen up.
Staff are fantastic - friendly, helpful and efficient.
Overall - very recommended.

Excellent location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Although the bed was not the most comfortable and the headboard was lose but it was still ok for the period I stayed there. Overall, I would recommend the Bendene Townhouse for its location, cleanliness and friendliness!

Felt like a home away from home. It is well located in Exeter which made it easy to walk around and see the sights but quiet in evening. The room was lovely with a nice view.

Location was excellent. 5 mins walk to high street. Room was clean and plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 children 5 and 4. Walk in shower was lovely. Door out to the courtyard for views of cathedral etc

Excellent B&B close to the city cente. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and room was spotless.

My wife and I stayed for just one night for a shopping trip. The house is close the city centre, easy walking distance. Public car park just 1 min walk. The staff were extremely welcoming and the room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was great. The rooms were basic but nicely furnished. There was a note to stay work was underway to refurbish which the bathrooms were in need of, a bit outdated, but clean and functional. There was also a note to explain the house is old and therefore not soundproofed which was evident at night as you could hear people walking up the stairs, right outside the room, and people talking and moving around in their rooms

Very welcoming front of house and chef. Amazing hot breakfast served at your preferred time. The street is a little noisy with students on their nights out but the guest house is clean and comfortable, with comfy pillows. Very good value for money and I would definitely stay again.

Great little B&B for a short stay. Close to the train station and other amenities. Room was comfortable, breakfast was excellent. Be warned, however, that the stairs are steep and narrow. Quite a challenge with heavy luggage!

We stayed in Bendene for a night and I must stay that it was lovely. The room was pretty and clean. They have this free coffee and tea and some marmalade, honey and oatmeal biscuit which is very delicious. Staff are friendly and the location of hotel is good enough to roam around the city centre. Overall we loved it there.
