Overall it was a nice stay. The bed was very comfortable. The room did not have a dresser or a closet- there were a few hooks for clothes. The one morning there was no breakfast left at 9:30am. The floor in the room could have been swept/mopped. All happy hours at the bar were discontinued in the middle of our stay which was disappointing. Otherwise, was a very functional stay.

Amazing amenities, good location. We had only one problem with the cleaning, which we schedules but in the end they only changed the mat and towels. Overall, a really nice place.

No air conditioning. No fridge. No microwave. No ice. And very expensive
2.0
Broken toilet, cannot be flushed. Weird sound is heard all night. (Water flowing through pipes? Snoring from upper room? I don't know.) Reservation said breakfast is from 7am but staff said it can be served from 8am.

Just converted from a hostel- missing tissue in rooms, towels for the sink, mini fridges in the rooms. Bar in the lobby is 24 hrs so try to get the 3rd floor.

I stopped here while moving. It’s a clean welcoming place with friendly staff. The only drawback was there is no onsite parking.

This was place was pretty amazing! I enjoyed my stay here is within walking distance to the trolley that can take you to Burbon St and it’s far away enough that you don’t have to listen to all the loudness from the place.
I will start off with the bad during my stay: they are undergoing management changes and it does affect it. They are understaffed and it shows, but they do they their best. There is not microwave on the room, but there is one in the common area downstairs. We didn’t have the hotel soap in our bottle so it was an unexpected spence we had to deal with. No real parking lot, but you can find parking in the street around the area.
Now the good: the atmosphere inside the hotel is very nice! The bartender/receptionist we had during check-in is amazing. He plays good music, makes good drinks and has an amazing vibe. The price was great for the hotel and the weekend we stayed. the location is great and makes it easy to walk if you are interested in the French Quarter. The bed was huge and the A/C unit worked perfectly. It’s an easy area to get out and work out too.

This hotel do not have parking. I was shifting my home and boomed this stay. I had lot of item in my car but I have to parking my car in roadside parking. I couldn't sleep thinking about item. But hotel room, staff and food are all good. I should've noticed there is no parking but I didn't know there are some hotels without parking.

I had a great stay. Staff was helpful and friendly. Convenient location made it walkable.

It was a great experience, staff helpful, friendly especially Mr. Eddie was well verse, about the city and our country. What stands out for me was the continental breakfast, there were, danishes, bagels, cereal, yogurt, toast, to make coffee, croissants, cheese and a salami...yum, yum. Another plus the noise level was good, also surrounding several restaurants however Mr. Ed broiled oysters were delicious 😋 👌

All good except the housekeepers blasting their music. I actually thought it was my friend’s music. She was sleeping in the upper bunk bed. It was really loud.

Friendly staff, location walkable to lots of dining and shopping and attractions and convenient to public transportation

Smaller room
Bunk beds-comfortable
Tight space, but sufficient for the event
Smaller than a dorm room, but enough space to sleep and get on the go.
Customer Service was good— needs of my
family were met.

Clean room, nice and helpful staff, definitely worth the money. There are plenty of homeless people nearby tho, and remember to bring your own shampoo cause they don’t provide.

First off when I usually come visit New Orleans I always stay here. The staff is absolutely fantastic and the housekeepers so such an amazing job everyday. Thank y'all so much for a great stay as usual.

Fantastic hostel with kind staff and nice amenities. It’s in a great location with easy access to public transport, and most importantly it’s affordable. My partner and I stayed in a queen room with bathroom—basically exactly the same as a hotel room—for half the cost of any other hotels in NOLA. It’s a hostel, so it’s of course not luxury (ie. no toiletries, no tvs in room, bedding is pretty basic), but you get the bonus of access to the little kitchen/living room/bar. One thing to note is the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors at times, but I easily solved that by sleeping with my sound-canceling headphones. They also sell ear plugs.

I was actually extremely surprised by how nice this hostel is. Super clean, bathroom and shower are in the room, they have washers/dryers you can use, the staff was super chill, they play great music and have a 24/7 bar. If I ever come back im staying here again. 10/10.

Everything was great! I would definitely stay again

It’s very noisy and one of the roommate was bringing extra guests on nights and no one was there to monitor any activity. I will never ever come and recommend this hostel to anyone.

WOW! What a find! I was hoping to find something affordable and close the National WWII Museum. The Quisby did both. Clean, safe, welcoming and close to museum. A great find.

My friend and I were passing through New Orleans, and decided to stay here. We loved it. The employees we encountered were all very kind and helpful. The overall ambiance and style is nice. The lobby is clean, and breakfast served each day had good options. Once the day picks up, the lobby has some good tunes on. The rooms themselves were also nice, and well kept. I would say the only thing to keep in mind when in your room is you can hear a lot, but there are complimentary earplugs at the front desk. I would recommend for solo, couple, and friends traveling.

I was wrongly put in a girls room on new years eve. I was told it wasnt their fault and they were booked and good luck to me. I really dont care whose fault it was, it sure wasnt mine because i was told it wasnt and was given a full refund. This was around 2.00am so i had to go check my suitcase in a casino and had to look for a place for hours to end up in days inn close to the airport. So yes between expedia and this hostel, they both suck. If i was to reserve again there i would call and make sure they have their reservation right so you dont end up on the street.

The Quisby is a really great place and provides a family vibe in welcoming visitors.

Liked: convenience to public transportation and walkability
Dislikes: poor room service, doors not closing all the way, subpar breakfast that consisted of only donuts and other unhealthy foods without any fruits.

Absolutely to be recommended!! Great location for various neighborhoods also public transport. Parked around the corner for free.
AnnMarie (and her colleagues) at the front desk were marvellous, she fixed booking issues (expedia not the Quisbys mess) with a laugh and a smile. Affordable inhouse bar and lounge area. Clean and nice rooms. Would gladly go there again:)

I enjoyed my stay at The Quisby. This was my first time staying in a hostel so I didn’t know what to expect. The people at the front desk were nice. There was a bar and a free drink was available upon arrival. There is a community refrigerator available for use. Coffee was available in the morning as well as some breakfast items. Several restaurants were within walking distance as well as two convenience stores. I was in the 4 bed female room. It had its own bathroom. The lockers were bigger than I expected- probably big enough to fit a large suitcase standing up. I brought my own lock. It was a great value and I was within walking distance or a trolley ride of everywhere I wanted to go. I parked near the WWII museum since they do not have parking. It did get a little noisy at night, but nothing too bad. My towel disappeared and they were out of towels. My suggestion would be to bring a towel in case. Overall, I think it was a good choice and I would stay there again.

Upon arrival with my 10yr old son I was refused a room because I am a local.they told me they don’t accept locals which to me is discrimination

I stayed for 3 days and was very happy with the hostel. The front desk staff was friendly, the housekeeper changed the towels everyday, and the room was clean. Additionally, the bed was comfortable and the room setup was comfortable. Only problem I had was that there’s a lot of weirdos in New Orleans. So there’s a lot of people that are high as a kite sleeping in front of the building or walking around just being crazy. However, I didn’t feel in danger either all as a sole female traveler. My roommates were quite dirty, but I’m in a hostel, so I can’t expect everyone to clean after themselves. No noise around. Plus, breakfast was included.

The staff helped themselves to the things in my luggage! They allow you to check your bag at checking in and out. I left to get coffee, only to find several items missing. The other travelers are easier to leave with you luggage. I recommend getting a lock for staff members.

It was a bit wild at times, but I had a great time at Quisby, nice people in expensive beer. Good coffee and yummy biscuits in the morning. Would have liked some fruit too. Loveded the open mic. Nice and close to the Garden district and Magazine steet. Was a great place to stay.
