Beautiful location with wonderful staff. Excellent beach and easy access to shops / restaurants.

Staff is incredibly helpful. . .anything you want in the way of excursions, rentals, transportation, or general information they will take care of arranging at no cost (though the excursion via a separate entity will have a cost) Bicycles and surfboards, beach chairs and beach umbrellas are available for use at no cost. There is a weight room sharing space with the yoga studio that is not mentioned on the website and that was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast is amazing and the hostess is always present to assist you in planning your day. Rooms and entire grounds are extremely clean. Even the two cats which live on the property add charm. Hotel is a 2 minute walk to the beach via a private path. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, and the Tuktuk stand is less than 200 yds away for farther journeys. The only negative is that the roads are unpaved and can be rough or muddy during the rainy season but after the first day a seasoned traveler adjusts their footwear or transportation accordingly. All in all we would love to go back someday.

Amazing stay “home away from home”. Space and amenities were extremely comfortable while being homey. Everything was extremely well thought out. Hosts were so warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back

We had planned to stay 5 nights but were so taken with this hotel and Nosara that we ended up staying 9. Our room (the Eco) was clean, modern, quiet, and comfortable with a full kitchen. The property is beautiful and impeccably maintained with easy access to the beach down a private path. The included breakfast is generous and delicious. There’s a good selection of surfboards for rent (foamies, longboards, funboards) on site. Restaurants and stores are an easy 5 minute walk. The owners and staff are kind and gracious, happy to book surf lessons, dinner reservations, massage, etc. We will be back!

Beautiful property with owners who truly care about their guests. The hotel has a private path to the beach and is very convenient to several restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. The apartment was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Breakfast was included....delicious and filling!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moana. Not only was our room (the Eco) beautifully and tastefully decorates, but so clean. It was perfect for us and our two children. We didn’t use the kitchen to it’s full potential but it was awesome knowing we had a full stove, fridge etc. breakfast each morning was delicious and healthful, with enough variety for everyone in our family. One night the power went out and when we returned from dinner the owners had placed candles all around the hotel including beautiful lanterns in our room. Our children loved playing in the pool and we relaxed in the hammocks and on the outdoor couches in the covered area (even during the pouring rain). They have a private walk down to the ocean which is fantastic and beach chairs and umbrellas to take with you at no charge. The “fruity water “ as our children called it was such a nice touch available 24hrs in the kitchen/living area. It was all lovely. Everyone who works at the hotel is so hospitable and helpful - we can’t wait to return and we will definitely chose the Moana again and recommend it to anyone heading to Nosara. Sometimes it is stressful to book a place online, but I can assure you that if you book here you will not regret it.

Moana is a lovely boutique resort; so serene, tropical, and nestled in the lush forest that leads to the famous Guiones Beach. The breakfast is delicious, full of fresh local fruits, and yummy omelet, great coffee! I wish we could have stayed longer!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Moana at the end of April and had an amazing time, and could not have ended up at a better place to stay in Nosara. Staying at the Moana feels more like a bead an breakfast, instead of a hotel, due to the amazing hospitality of the owners. They have an amazing energy, and truly care for their guests. You really feel welcomed into their home. The property is beautiful and fresh. Our room was large, private, and comfortable with excellent AC. Breakfast is included, and is everything you could want. This was a very nice treat after a morning surf. Location could not have been better, as it is right on the beach. We went to Nosara for yoga and surfing. While I am an avid surfer I was amazed on how great this place is for anyone who is learning to surf. They have brand new boards in every size and an on staff surfing instructor. If you are coming to Nosara to learn to surf, there is no need to pay to stay somewhere and then pay for surf lessons somewhere else when you can stay at the Moana and practically have your own private surf lessons and boards. They also provide yoga for their guests in a beautiful upstairs open yoga room. They even are set up for aerial yoga which was a fun experience. I don think you could find a better place to stay in Nosara than the Moana.
