Checkin was easy Mike is great

The rooms were dingy and not well cleaned, cobwebs and dust in corners. Furniture had clearly seen better days. We sat on the small patio adjacent to the room one night and something came running from the restaurant area across the patio, not a rabbit or a mouse but no one hung around long enough to get a good look. Would not go back.

Very good.

It was outdated, could have been cleaner. Pillows were cheap and flat.

This is a quaint property, not everyone's cup of tea. The amenities could be upgraded as my little freezer did not freeze my ice bags, some of the chairs in the back patio to the room were past their use by date but what really stood out was the effort put forth by Tricia the maid, to do whatever could be done to improve our stay. That's priceless. It's connected to a first class restaurant which I've eaten at before but wasn't able to fit in this time around.

We were very disappointed to find the restaurant closed for dinner on Sunday night not wanting to drive around town after a long days drive.

Under the beds need cleaning there was a pill under the bed and very dusty. Because it has a dust ruffle does’t mean it doesn’t need cleaning also once in a while.

Great for a short stay at thousand islands region. Very convenient location on main road/highway. Room was large and comfortable. The bed frames were a little noisy and had a soft matress but overall it was okay. Not much to do in the nearby town Clayton, but you have access to cruises, state parks in minutes

Such a great room at an excellent price!! Wasn't expecting much so was very impessed! Nice restaurant next door as well as nearby choices. Comfy bed, ac worked great, sweet back patio, great shower. All good.
8.0
Quaint and quiet. The staff was helpful. The only drawback was parking. The restaurant next door uses the motel parking lot so sometimes you have to wait for their patrons to leave before going back to your room.

We enjoyed our stay!! It’s a cute and quaint motel with friendly and helpful staff. Shared places we should visit and they even gave us dessert because it was our anniversary!! We will definitely be going back! Thank you! Shawn and Debb😊

We loved everything about the Clipper Inn! It was perfectly located and had all the amenities of a large hotel, with a hometown feel (we loved the screen door)! The beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom were immaculate. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Parking area had just been paved so sprinklers were difficult to avoid but staff did move them upon request

Loved the charm, real keys, clean room, nice outdoor seating, friendly all around. The only downfall was the bed. Needs new matresses and pillows.

We loved the property and the room. I highly recommend. Very quaint and cozy.

Simple, clean, convenient, quiet, a bit “retro”.

You could tell that it was a smoking room prior to my check in. I am hypersensitive to smoke so it wasn't a good nights sleep on top of the room next door's dogs barking til midnight then they stopped and the occupant was slamming dresser drawers shut. I complained to management the next day and was basically blown off.

This is a quaint roadside motel that you might have stayed in with your folks in the 60’s/70’s.
A hidden gem of a restaurant attached. A fabulous meal: 4-star quality!

Very nice place to stay. Appreciated the room service check-in daily too!

Upon arrival room door was open rear window was unlocked, no peep hole in door, staff enters without knocking or announcement , spiders and webs in corners and flys infested room. Bedding is very worn and torn.

It was small but nice for a one night stay. But bed was comfortable... Very affordable.

We had some special requests and they met them all with out question. Room was spotless and well equipped. Really enjoyed the free coffee in the morning and the refrigerator items as we sat on our chairs and table right outside the door!! The restaurant is a step above what a lot of ppeople see. Once you dine there you will understand what a bargain it is, quite a step up in class and loved by us.

Very friendly check-in, good parking. Our room was ok, door was warped or something allowing light in & turned out also, ants. Didn't realize it until late when going to bed, a few were crawling on the covers. Left too early to tell anybody in the office. I feel we got an older room behind a fence which blocked our view, the majority of their rooms looked much better.

The only thing we did not like was the small bathroom

Spent a few days at the hotel with my husband and our two teens. Usually Leary of “motels” but read other reviews that said it was very clean so decided to give it a shot. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately, we were put in a room that I don’t think is used much. The other rooms (1-6) may have been better. Ours smelled very musty. Walked in to find several spiders and webs all around the room. (This is to be expected to some extent near bodies of water, but there were a lot). We took care of most of them ourselves and called the front desk to take care of a big one in the window. Then we kept finding big black ants in the room. I knew the staff had gone home at that point in the evening (even though they made it clear we could reach them) so I went out and bought ant traps and spray myself. Those did work as we didn’t see any more ants after that.
Looked at the floor underneath the beds and it was evident it had not been cleaned in a VERY long time. Bathroom was clean though.
Beds were hard and not comfortable. We ended up leaving a day early.
Again, I think the other rooms may have been better and we may have just had bad luck getting the one we did.
The Clipper Inn Restaurant, however, was FANTASTIC and I’d highly recommend that!!

Room absolutely filthy. Shower dirty. Hair everywhere… dirty shelving in bathroom as well as broken shelves. Dusty nightstand. Coffee pot not rinsed out. Take out Tin under dresser visible from beds. Inside of bathroom door too dirty to want to hang anything on the hooks. Hot mess
