Pleasant, quiet inn off the beaten path, but still close to sights and attractions and dining. Friendly staff/owner(s). Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfy, shower strong and in-room coffee great. WiFi was so-so. No elevator and many steps between floors. Parking is not that close, a couple of blocks walk to get to. Didn't eat their breakfast, but it looked good with options. Certainly a LOT of bang for the buck (or Euro).

Hotel was well placed to see the sites of the City. Weather was very hot and a gan was provided which was good. Didnt have the breakfast but it looked good.

Very friendly, helpful staff! Great breakfast! One of the best showers I have ever experienced.

This is a very well-located hotel, 15 min to the train station, 10 min to the river or porta nigra. Easy to reach the hiking point for a great panoramic view (35 min). The room was fine, even big, for one person - the bathroom felt small, but the shower was powerful and temperature was great. I was cold, in spite of the functioning heater, and could have used another blanket (I procured some extra towels instead). Love the fact that there’s a mini fridge - would have preferred it to be empty. Reception is not manned 24/7 but they usually seem to be happy to keep luggage and be helpful. I wasn’t too happy that my emails were not responded to, and my calls kept going to voicemail, which is why I didn’t give 5 stars.Didn’t try breakfast, but there are lots of eateries nearby.

The room was too hot, although there was an air circulator. It would be much better if there was a lift. The breakfast totally worths the price and the staff is helping and kind.

We enjoy our stay at this hotel. Perfect location in Bernkastel which is a superb village -most enjoyable at night when most of the tourists are gone. Our room was maybe on the small size small but perfect in any other way.

Staff were very friendly and spoke English and German. The place is a traditional German building and is set over three floors. There are many steps to climb if you’re unlucky to be on the third floor like I was but this wasn’t a problem for me.Myroom was immaculately clean, and appeared recently refurbished. The bed was comfortable too. The Wi-fi seemed to work intermittently, despite the signal being strong which was annoying but not a deal breaker. Breakfast was continental style, with no hot offering, and cost €5 per night.

We got into a big booking issue when we tried to advance our booking by one day. Reception told us there was no room for the extra night and recommended another hotel which turned out to be many miles away. It seems there are two hotels with the same name so important to choose the right one close to Trier city center. In fact, extremely friendly and welcoming staff and good value for money. We were awakened by the loud twitter of early morning bird song but considered that a plus.
