The hotel was under construction, the toilet broke in our room and flooded the bathroom, a construction worker came in to our room in the middle of the night and had a universal key to enter every room in the hotel, the electricity went out in the entire building for several hours, and was completely dark. They had Halloween decorations in massive amounts all over the main lobby that was inappropriate and embarrassing. The elevator had a button that was sticking out with a spring behind it (code violation)!

No the lectricity when we came and we were not told about it since they dont have electricity since 9am. They expect us to stay in a very hot room and no elevator. They never offered an alternative.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and courteous the staff was! Very impressed! Although there was a maintenance cart in my room upon arrival it was immediately corrected and the front desk person apologized for the inconvenience repeatedly! Will definitely stay again!

Overbilled twice, had to call and complain twice so I could get my refund. Cleanliness was below average, pool was dirty, dead cockroach on the floor in the breakfast area. Friends (in another room) had people walk in on them in the middle of the night. Would definitely never stay here again.

The hallway smelled like sewage and musk. I gagged the entire walk to our room. Check into the room and it smelled worse and was filthy. Picked up the phone to info the front desk, the phone did not work. Had to walk downstairs and inform the front desk. She was nice, she gave us another room. Again the hallway smelled like sewage and musk. Another guest had a complaint as the lady from the front desk was walking in the hallway spraying Odom spray to mask the smell. New room sheets are dirty again. Pick up the phone to inform the front desk the phone does not work again. Walked downstairs again to inform the lady the front desk. It is after 10pm, she was working alone and had a line so I asked for sheets so we could sleep they had no more rooms. We slept on clean sheets on top of the dirty sheets on the bed. The day of check out Housekeeping knocks on the door at 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am. Do not disturb was hanging on the door. Was told ppl check out but leave the sign on the door. Regardless if they do, check out is at 11am so they need to wait til 11 to knock. We told the front desk the night before we wanted a late checkout at 12p and he said okay. I was promised 10,000 points due to my horrible experience, I have yet received. I have called corporate to make a formal complaint. Still waiting on my points. The hotel is screening my calls, they refuse to allow me to speak with hotel manager.

Nice room, close to Graceland with free and frequent shuttle. Was told not to walk alone in the neighborhood so I walked only in the daytime. Close to a very good pizza place.

We came to go to Graceland and it was a great place to stay. The staff were all nice and friendly. They provided transportation to and from Graceland saving us parking fees. The hotel made our stay that much more enjoyable.

We reserved two rooms. First, the room key didn’t work for one of the rooms. When we finally got a new key, the room smelt like weed. There was trash under the bed. There was hair all over the bathroom. There was rust on the trim of the door. There were several puke stains on the carpet in the hallway. When we were in the room for around 10 minutes, they gave a stranger a key to our room. They were able to just walk into our room while we were in there. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been to.

I called 2 days prior to our stay, the night before, then the day of to let them know I was coming in late night. Every single one of the staff members I spoke to were wonderful except ONE. The day of, I called to make sure we were good to go, I specifically booked a room with 2 beds when I originally booked this. When I called to confirm our room stay, the 2 beds and to let that shift know we’d be coming in late, he out me on hold for 10 mins. I hung up and called again which I could tell he was annoyed. I said the same thing that I just was calling to confirm our stay and our accommodations and just so they wouldn’t give our room away as a no-show and he said in a rude tone “I don’t give rooms away”, and I said ok, and felt confident about having everything go well. He just hangs up, no apology for the long wait hold and not even a thank you goodbye, just clicked and hung up after I said ok great, thank you. We get in very late and they only had a room with ONE bed available. The night staff that were on shift were SUPER wonderful and she felt bad and gave us a king suite when I requested so we could have at least another bed. And the morning shift as well were super sweet and nice and just so wonderful. It was only Marcus that was rude, didn’t care, disconcerting, unprofessional and overall just made it horrible.

Unfortunately, the room was disgraceful . There was a sign saying under rennovations but the web site did not, i did ask for another room, but i was told there's no point , as it wouldn't be any better. The carpet had horrible stains, the two chairs was full of stains, it made me feel dirty. I asked if i could get my money back and go elsewhere, but unfortunately , i booked through a third party, so they could not be sure i would get refunded.

Deplorable conditions. Partially eaten food on floor in stairwell. Same stairwell had trash on floor. Took 3 attempts to get room without a problem. Rude front desk at check in. The staff is truly amazing. The breakfast is decent,,, although they need more tables and chairs. I was taking a shower and the water shut off completely. They turned it off and didn't notify anyone. I tried to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. The ice machine on my floor was not working. The bottle of body wash was empty and we had just a little bit of toilet tissue on the roll. The staff was great. I have stayed in 2 other holiday express and they were absolutely great and i thought they were all the same. So this was a disappointment 😞.

We booked this hotel for a business trip: 7 rooms for 7 guests. We booked this hotel based on positive reviews and close proximity to work location. 1 room had not been cleaned at check in and one had no shower curtain. On night 3 (of 5 day trip), 1 room had no water and the other 4 rooms reported brown water coming from taps. Bad water! We left early and will not be using this hotel for future trips. Unfortunate experience.

I would give this place 0 stars if it were an option. I needed a one night stay somewhere close to Memphis airport and this place came up. When you get there you will see the location leaves much to be desired to include the surrounding area (not apparent from the website). The place is not what one would typically expect of a hotel close to an International Airport and not what one would expect for the cost. The staff/management was rude and insulting when having to deal with accidental damage. I was moved to a room with no flushing toilet, mold on the wall, a gapping hole in the bathroom wall, and a television that kept going out (according to the front desk it was because of rain but it was only rain, no major storm, tornado, etc.). Because of the accidental damage (that the staff contributed to but took no responsibility for), I was charged $650 in addition to the cost of the room. They refused to give me anything in writing to show how they came up with the amount, what the actual cost of repair is, and only gave me a receipt that says "miscellaneous" charges. The hotel then tried to charge my card again (over the late night hours) another $650! The fact that they tried to charge my card a second time really raises my brow because they had already charged me (for something that they were unwilling to show the actual cost of repair for). The property, the encounter I had with the staff, and the overall experience I had is the reason I do not recommend this location.

Booked and payed for 2 queen bed room for 2 nights in advance. Got there and they didnt have room available. After discussion with manager we were provided a single king with fold out bed, no blankets were provided for fold out bed. There was an odd smell of mildew in the room. Were not compensated for difference in room price. The breakfast was good and pool was a nice break from the heat. Without breakfast and pool the review would be a 0 star.

Guitar pool was excellent but got progressively dirty during stay. Most staff was unpleasant except for the breakfast staff. Ms. Duffie was exceptional and made every morning like home. Room was not as stated when booked, and was well worn. Elevator was scary and all ice machines were down during our stay.

Top notch staff on both day and evening shifts. Exceptionally personable and everyone has a smile, warm greeting and willing to assist if you need a helping hand. Highly recommended. I decided on the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Memphis Apartment Elvis Presley Boulevard due to the high ratings. Was not disappointed at all. Clean. Helpful staff. Ideal location. Wonderful breakfast spread. Not to mention competitive pricing. If you decide to visit Graceland and need accommodation, look no further.
