This is a very old resort and you cannot expect the standards and quality of newly built resorts and hotels. The structure and fittings are probably old original from the time it was built made of wood. They do try to clean it and maintain as best as possible however, its by the ocean front and the wear and tear from the sea breeze is inevitable. It has a rustic charm to it and it will grow on you if you keep an open mind. A great place to watch the sunrise as it is situated in the eastern part of sabah. There's a golf course there too but we didn't get a chance to play. The mornings are beautiful.

Lovely staff but this property is desperate for refurbishment. Rooms were very basic with old furniture, an old, claustrophobic shower with a shower door that got stuck and was difficult to open, only one plug socket in an inconvenient location, old frayed towels, very basic complimentary toiletries. No shampoo or conditioner. The breakfast is not good at all. Extremely limited choice, cold food. Managed to grab some toast. It doesn’t live up to its name as a golf resort. Air con in the rooms was ok, bed was comfortable and the pool was lovely and clean. It was such a shame there were only 3 old, rickety, uncomfortable sunbeds around the pool and a few tables and chairs. If you’re happy with basic but clean then this will be good for you.

Good value. We have rental car so transport was not an issue. Convenient location to drive to nearby tourist attractions.

The place is run down. Bathroom shower was dirty and the sheets had stains on them. No mattress pad, just a thin sheet over a mattress.

Swimming pool and playground facilities are provided but the cleanliness is rather unacceptable especially the swimming pool. It is a good vacation place for relax during weekend. Breakfast is included in the price but the variety is rather less.

The best hotel in Kudat. The room was reasonably large and clean with a view over the pool and looking east out to sea. The hotel itself looks great though beginning to show some wear and tear due to age, it is nothing to complain about. The pool was great and the gym reasonably equipped for most needs. The sauna was nice too.Two small gripes. The WiFi in the rooms was slow and not reliable. There were lots of WiFi spots available, and it looked like there was one access point for each room, with the rooms number, but when you connected to that point there was no internet available. Only the Dlink access point from the lobby actually connected to the internet. So it appears they have the hardware installed to give every room WiFi access but just haven't connected it up correctly. The other gripe isn't really connected to the hotel but a general point to note about Kudat in general - stray dogs. Everywhere we went in Kudat there were feral dogs wandering around. They never bothered us but did bark at the car when we drove into some parking lots and unsettled my family who aren't comfortable around packs of unknown dogs.Extra point to note, if you want to each the crab or the shrimp (prawns) specials in the restaurant, you have to notify the staff the day before so that they buy them fresh from the market. We missed out on eating the crab there because of this and headed into the town centre to get fresh crab for lunch. Otherwise, the restaurant is excellent.
