Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had a very comfortable stay. Road to the hotel is gravel and that’s the only negative point about this hotel.

Out of the way, but very quiet for a good nights sleep.

Easy to find - easy to check-in, nice room and WC very close-by. The provided breakfast set the bar for all the guesthouses we stayed in, with a greater variety of options - easy to get more than needed, as there were so many great things to choose from.

This was great cottage overall but I did not like the bathroom in which you had to shower above the sink. No proper drainage and the cottage could use more cleaning. Other than that I was there for just one night and nothing much to point out. I would make the bathroom better to gain more stars

Very clean room, spacious and a very polite, friendly and warm host. The family running the guesthouse does everything with love and you can see that! Breakfast is a great. Only thing, maybe a kettle could be handy. I'd love to make a coffee and hot water can help with that.

Good rooms with comfortable beds, excellent staff, very decent price
It takes about a half hour drive from Egilsstaðir

Bushy and extremely quiet area. Wifi was usually good, sometimes it dropped off. We drank from the tap water amazingly safe. Google maps not functioning well in the areas. But we managed to find the property easily.

Got a nice little cottage. The place is pretty remote on a dirt road. Which was part of the appeal of it. Ate dinner there (food was ok). Service was great. Everyone I encountered there seemed really focused on service. The cottage itself was fairly basic. No TV but had wifi. The shower was awkwardly in the bathroom.

Clean and comfortable though the whole place felt a little dated and could do with modernising. Unfortunately this is quite a long way up a gravel road and a way out, so whilst it is delightfully remote and may be great for viewing the northern lights at the right time of year, it was a little too far out for our summer visit.

Nothing really wrong with the place but it was nothing special. But it’s alright for one night when driving the Ring Road.

They were kind enough to accommodate our late arrival. Rooms were quiet. Guesthouse is in a really pretty, peaceful area. We drove to Snaefel Mountain the next day which was well worth it with awesome views.

It was a good location to end up at the end of the day and venture out the next day on our trip around the ring road.

This hotel is off the ring road a ways. It also offers a campground. We stayed in the 3-bed apartment above the hotel rooms, which gave more of a cottage feel. Breakfast is offered for an extra fee in the morning, and is a conventional Icelandic continental offering. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The rooms were clean and warm. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I can't begin to say how much I enjoyed this guesthouse. I rented one of the private cabins and it was so spacious! It had a studio layout with a bathroom, kitchen, bed, and day lounge. And then there was an additional private bedroom. Check in was very easy, there was someone at the desk when I arrived and check in took only a few moments. The cabins are right next to the hotel. There is a lot of privacy in the cabins, with forests behind you and a beautiful scenic outlook off the front porch. Would highly recommend staying in one of these beautiful cabins!
