First time staying in the new property. The room was nice and spacious on the first floor. The neighborhood was a bit noisy. And the walls appeared to be thin as I was able to hear other guests really clearly.

Location is downtown and you can park on the street ( paid in the week) if you can get a spot if not it is only valet parking at $30 + US a night.
Breakfast was more a quick service with your standard

Waffles

No bread so no toast
Small stock of snacks / drinks at reception as well.
Staff were friendly, we were only here for one night so good for a stopover or if visiting the town.

When we first check in , it was good, I have been promised to be able get my car first thing in the morning as we had to leave for a competition. Valet parking is $30 and I was charged $40 and being told the amount can’t be changed and it is for TIP while they also send you a link separately for tipping. First RIP OFF!!So I had to pay. In the morning I want to request my car thru the text message it was not available so went downstairs and guess what valet was no where to be found. I went to front desk turns out that the lady was the supervisor and no help at all said valet is not under them and she doesn’t know where the valet is and can’t help me!!! I told her I have been told when I check in my car will be there with no problem as I told them 3 times the least we had to leave Early. Now the valet person nowhere and manager with NO care.
Finally the valet person showed up and guess what He brought me someone else’s car and claimed that this is Mine! After he finally brought my car . It was 20 minute passed and of course we were late !! Never Again!!! Be careful with valet they will rip you off maybe will hand your car to another person and hotel management won’t do anything and won’t even say SORRY!!

I spent two nights in this hotel. Great experience, welcoming staff of outstanding quality. Located in downtown, just a few minutes walk from the nearby restaurants and some of the main attractions in the city.

Experience was great! Service was excellent as well as the room we stayed in. Definitely will book again if we return to Montgomery, Alabama.

The room was quite nice, clean and comfortable. I did not realize that check in was at 4PM. We arrived early and had a long wait for our room.

This was one of the best hotels I stayed in, the style was very nice tall ceilings and big windows, very clean and cozy

Beautiful properly!!! Only thing that I didn’t like was we tried calling the day of check-in to see if we could check in early and no one answered the phone all day.

I enjoyed my stay.

The view was excellent, I was able to watch the baseball game and the fire works. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I will stay there again. The only down size is the parking sucks.

The toilet was clogged. There was no hand soap. There was no shampoo. There was one towel, hand towel the USB outlets next to the bed didn’t work. The TV came on at 3 o’clock in the morning the deadbolt of the door locked when I tried to leave the Room and the switch would not open it.

We stayed two nights, choose the hotel due to its location close to the Legacy Museum. To be brief: flashing bulb in bedside fixture—annoying!; telephone not only didn’t work (to report the light), it had the incorrect room number on a sticker of the phone. The only way to stop the LOUD A/C fan was to turn the unit off so we turned off then on again when room was too warm (selecting low or high made no difference). NO WIFI for the entire time we were there. Even though this may not have been their fault, the personnel at the desk not only didn’t know anything but didn’t seem to be concerned about it. TV’s sound was muffled and we didn’t find the caption. We are both hard hearing so it was difficult to understand commentary. Light on coffee maker was lit but the water came out warm so coffee didn’t brew. Print out (hardcopies) were taped outside the elevator doors “Four-person limit”. This seemed strange since it was a printout at the doors suggesting a problem yet to be addressed. Official notice inside stated 3600 pounds. Little things but yet nice to have: tissues in the room or bathroom. Fortunately, I had some in my purse. A waste can in the bathroom for tissues, dental floss, etc.

I had 2 roaches in my room!! This is totally unacceptable. In addition they seem to be understaffed. My room was not cleaned (stayed 3 nights)

I think it’s haunted but other than that it’s beautiful the staff were absolutely amazing an the breakfast was amazing an the food in the area was omg so good we ate at Witzel’s down the alley, and it was our server actually prayed with us but honestly if it wasn’t haunted I would have stayed longer DID I SAY THE STAFF WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! They were just so welcoming

Our room was on the first floor by the sidewalk and people would stop and talk right outside our window while we were trying to sleep.

This SpringHill Suites offered beautiful accommodations and convenience to downtown activities.
The only negative was the parking situation. There is no hotel parking and you either have to pay the $29 for valet, or pay for meter parking on the street.

Nice hotel, fun area of town. Hard to park if you don’t want to pay $30 to valet.

The first room we were sent to was still dirty—beds unmade, trash cans overflowing, towels on bathroom floor. It either had not been cleaned by housekeeping or someone was still occupying it. So we were assigned a different room, which was good, but the shower leaked all over the bathroom because there was nothing to seal off the bottom of the door. Parking was also very limited, so we had to park over a block away and drag all of our stuff to and from the hotel in 100° heat.

area around hotel had good options for eating --hotel had a good breakfest -----Room had issues with door, didn't always lock, short staffed but staff was trying--would stay there again

The room is big and beautiful, but right off the ground floor lobby. I asked them be moved to a standard room but was told I couldn’t. Just a weird disappointing check-in. Also no mention that valet parking would be an extra 30 dollars.

The area was great. Would like to know in advance for the $30 a day parking.

The building and rooms are beautiful and contemporary as expected. Unfortunately, there were a few little glitches that brought the scores down. Things like there was no toilet paper or sink soap in the room when I first checked in. Also, the desk lamp was rusted badly and my requested wake up calls two days in a row never came. Finally, for breakfast, the egg and cheese omelet was cold. Overall, if the option came up, I would use the hotel again but, it was not up to the normal SpringHill standard.
4.0
It was very quiet. Breakfast was fine, nice variety. Room was missing soap for sink, a washcloth, and a shower mat. Shower door had not been cleaned. Damage to wall from possibly having rain leak in from roof area; streaks from ceiling down to headboard. Bedside clock and desk lamp appeared to have rust on them, possibly from rain water also. Otherwise, it was an okay experience.

This property was convenient to all the museums, the waterfront and nice restaurants. The suites were spacious and unique with awesome art work, however it is time for the property to do some deep carpet cleaning in the rooms and hall ways. The carpet has begin to smell musty which causes a smell. There also appeared to be a shortage in towels while we were there.

Great location, cool room, lovely staff. Just what we wanted!

Montgomery is full of historical properties including this hotel. It's exposed brick and high ceilings are charming. From the minute we checked in the staff showed us the hospitality the south is known for. The only bumps we had was the room assigned to us was a handicapped room. The shower drainage was poor. Also there was no body wash in the dispenser. The front desk graciously gave us bar soap, though. Overall, I'd stay again.

Everything about it was great.

Clean. Large room. Nice furnishings. Courteous staff.
A little noisy since it is an older building but not distracting. I'm glad they kept so many of the original architectural features.

Great place to stay except the valet parking is $30 and is the only option you haa
