Would definitely recommend this for young travelers/people who don’t mind a little background noise as they go to sleep. My group thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay here again!

I felt welcomed and at home at this hostel, even though I only stayed for a week. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they always worked very hard. Every day and night there was some fun event to attend, whether it was music, trivia, dancing, or trips to the cenotes. I was sad to leave and I look forward to returning!

Too many gay vibes! Not a good place for it

I loved that the overall stay was clean and it wasn't costly. The staff were great as well!
I didn't love how people would keep the doors to the sleeping rooms open so others from outside could get in.

The staff was wonderful. The property seems to be well kept. Breakfast was terrible. But it’s loud, like techno music at 1230 in the morning loud. The crowd is very young. I’d recommend this place anyone UNDER 30.

This is based on my personal experience. I never stayed in a hostel before this. First and foremost, power goes out frequently and breakfast can be delayed so if you have an excursion then plan ahead. Rooms aren't as spacious for the 12 bunk beds that are in there. I liked the lockers and was happy about that. Sink was tight. There was 2 toilets and 2 showers. AC was broken here and there. Lastly, there was an incident with a man assaulting a woman on the property. People saw. The managers did not do anything nor was the police called. The man who attacked left the property the same day so he didn't get caught. Food at the property isnt that good except for breakfast. The rest of the restaurants you have to walk to. You get what you pay for.

Nearby road construction is a pain but the Hostel itself is in a great condition. You have to compete with construction trucks and Taxis for parking spots.

Overall had a great experience, my only issue was the towels provided where smelly & not always available when you needed to swap it for a new one. There is often people waiting on a dry towel in the front desk area. I would stay here again & make sure to bring my own towel.

Really beautiful, looks like a castle. I love the architecture. Food was good. Good location, next to the main streets and so bars, restaurants. Also only 15 minutes bike from the hotel zone and all the beaches ! 30-50 minutes from most cenotes (gran Cenote, Cenote cavalera..etc.).

It was okay. I’ve stayed here before and it was much better last time. There were a few travelers working to live there and it had a pretty chill and homey vibe. It felt like a hostel There is a full blown staff with security now. This is a hotel, not a hostel at this point. The drinks are all US prices, you are not allowed to bring a beverage in with you. Security will make you drink it on the steps or pour it out even though you have a private room. I would have rather stayed in a real hostel than deal with the odd rules this place had. You want to get super fckd up and spend a bunch of money, have the music so loud you can’t talk to the person next to you until late hours? No problem. You want to bring a beer from the restaurant below or that you got from the store next door in with you to your private room? ABSOLUTELY not. It’s an okay place to stay if you’re 22 and trying to rage in Tulum. Otherwise find a cheaper hostel, or just book a hotel for the price. OH and my partner ended up with a super weird rash that got diagnosed as pool folliculitis back home from their murkey, dirty pool.

The property is well over hyped by the photos on the website. There are 4 floors of rooms and dorms, yet only on the ground floor is fresh drinking water (which must be used also for brushing teeth) available, this water is in a large jug which should be set on a water cooler or other dispenser but it’s not. To fill water bottles or cups you must lift and pour the incredibly heavy jug. The “kitchen” facilities are beyond the pail, a very small room with just two electric cooker rings and two small refrigerators are meant to be adequate for hundreds of guests. No personal alcohol can be consumed in the lounge area or stored in the refrigerators, it will be thrown out by staff, so be prepared to pay bar prices or take warm drinks to the beach. The free breakfast is a choice of toast and/ or fruit with yogurt, other options are available for purchase. Upside? It’s a 15 minute walk to the center of town, and a short cycle to the beach with a bike you can rent the on site. I stayed in a 12 bed all female dorm and the bunks were private and the room was well equipped with showers and toilets which were kept clean and for the price of about $20 a night USD that’s pretty good. The vibe of the place is geared towards people who think they are between 18- 24 which includes older guys who stay there to flirt with the young clientele. But it is what it is, a cheap room in an okay location.

The room we were in was 201. The room was extremely noisy. The bar music was played until 1 or 2 am every night and you could hear absolutely everything. The bass from the speakers actually shook the bed. We requested to be moved to a different room several times. The stats only answer was that they were all booked up and couldn’t do anything. We were also told that extra towels were extra money and the hotel actually required me to leave a deposit if I wanted to keep my drivers license. The staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. For almost $200 a night we expected a lot more out of our experience. We actually checked out early due to how unhappy with the hotel and it’s staff we were. The room was relatively clean. That is the only plus I can think of.

My husband dropped his wallet and it was picked up by the yoga teacher and supposedly taken to the reception, when we went to ask everyone at reception (6 people total) states the wallet was not there. The security and a receptionist called the yoga teacher a few times to ask where the wallet was placed and she never answered the phone. Then the hotel manager offered us to wait in her office while they “looked for it” 5 minutes later after she offered an apology, the security guard walks in with my husband’s wallet. The wallet was looked through, nothing was missing but the fact that they searched the wallet, nothing was in its place, tells you the intentions they had. Horrible customer service! Nights Before this incident we went to the bar for drinks, ordered our drinks and literally 10 minutes later after watching the bar tender prepare drinks for 3 other people, we asked for ours and the bar tender said they’d forgotten to make them, at this point we cancelled the drinks and went to the room. HORRIBLE, unprofessional, dishonest. Do not book here! You will regret. They don’t even have elevators, so plan on pulling your luggage up a flight of stairs.

The whole main area/pool is under major construction. There is construction noise at all hours of the day (starting at 7:30 am) only drown out by blasting music. The common area is not regularly cleaned and in the morning it’s like walking out to a dirty frat house with people passed out on the couches. The front desk staff was incompetent/rude and tried to charge me twice and didn’t answer a single one of my questions about covid tests/airport transport...don’t bother. The room itself was comfortable but for the price, issues and location I would’ve stayed somewhere else.

For a hostel this place is super awesome. I had a private room but I got to check out the dorms and were quaint. The staff was great and they were very accommodating. They have a bar with good priced drinks and the food is pretty decent. There is a DJ that plays every night until 12 it was a blast. Got to meet really cool people from all around the world. It was a great experience. The pool walls were a little stained but right before we left they started to remodel it. Sucks for the people staying now to have no pool not at least they are making the upgrade. They rent bikes for $150 daily which we took full advantage of. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the grocery store. 2 cenotes are within a short biking distance. We even rode to the ruins and hotel area if you up for a little longer ride. Over all great experience
