What a great experience. Naala is exactly what it advertises itself as - a 3.5 star hotel with some blemishes but an eagerness to succeed. When we go back to Tulum we will stay at Naala again!
The hotel is tucked back off the road. The outdoor lobby is quite welcoming but does show some wear but the front desk service was professional. The courtyard was so relaxing - while you can hear the music from the rooftop, the hammocks and waterfalls make it a perfect place to chill before or after your day.
We splurged on the "family apartment" as it was not that much more than a single room and gave us a huge amount of space. The patios and balconies are a little light on furniture, so glad for the courtyard. Room was clean, beds were wickedly comfortable and showers were strong. We felt safe.
There are some good restaurants within 100 yards and downtown is only a 20-minute walk but the best meals we had on our trip were at the Naala rooftop restaurant. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced as well. Salmon was perfect. Breakfast farmers omelet (I got well done) was fantastic. Smoothie was nice - they use ice and agave nectar (order accordingly).
Order a drink from the restaurant and bring it to the rooftop pool - plenty of seating. The best part of the roof is the unobstructed view (think sunrise and sunset). You can see the Tulum heritage site and the ocean from the roof.
As the hotel does not supply extra water, we were very happy to find an Oxxo and a 7-eleven only steps away

I was surprised how nice it was for the price.

Great hotel and ok location but unfortunately very easy to hear tv from one room to another so a lot of noise from this and difficult to sleep also expensive simple breakfast

That fabulous lobby and rooftop amenities.

The location of Naala was perfect. Convenient store is walking distance and Super Aki is a 5 minute drive. Gas station is also very close, and many good food spots that are walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are clean and very well taken care of.

This property was beautiful. It was a little jungle oasis. The rooftop pool and bar was very nice and had a good chill vibes. My only issue with the property was that that the air conditioning in the room didnt work very well so my sleep was not great due to being hot. the staff was very helpful with all our questions telling us places to go around town and helping us a find a nice beach club.

Everything went smooth. We had a king size bedroom super clean and big. Naala Tulum is close to restaurants and some bars. Thanks to Keyla, Eliseo y Emanuel for their perfect service!! We’ll be back soon

Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds, nice rooftop pools, just need some maintenance.

The staff went above & beyond, amazing service. So helpful, and also not obtrusive, they have a great balance of attentive, but not bothersome. In addition to the staff we loved the building, the lush vegetation, all the comfortable seating, the fresh water, the garden oasis and rooftop pool and lounges. Thank you Naala, you were perfect.

Had an incredible stay and was about to give 5 stars until the checkout process. Was accused for taking toiletries and items from the room when all of them were in order. Hotel restaurant was expensive for coffee and breakfast. One day was charged for unlimited coffee so assumed the same on our last day there, to find out we were charged over 300 pesos for 4 coffees. Make sure you check with staff on a daily basis what the price is for the food and drink before you order to avoid this as no menu was provided.

Love the staff and great breakfast!

Na’ala hotel completely saved our honeymoon - we had booked a different hotel initially which really didn’t meet our expectations, so it really felt we’d landed in luxury here! We really enjoyed the different areas you could relax in; the balcony, the courtyard jungle-like area, and all the areas on the rooftop. Our bedroom was spacious, and the service was great. Breakfast obviously got very predictable after 17 nights there, but there were a few options at least! If the coffee could be upgraded, or possible to help yourself - as staff struggled to keep up with demand at breakfast times leading you to wait sometimes quite a while to be served - that would be great. Only other thing is that we didn’t have a super friendly check in experience - would have been nice to have a receptionist who was helpful in explaining best areas to check out on a map etc, as the places to eat close to the hotel (apart from Casa Sofia) are prohibitively expensive!

Great location, just outside of the main busy areas of the rest of Tulum but close enough to either walk or better yet bike around. Clean, modern and basic room, the sheets and bed were a dream to sleep in. Roof top pool was a beautiful place to take in the sunrise and sunset, or take a refreshing dip after being in the warmth of the sun. Lots of great restaurants around and access to the rest of the town. Loved being able to rent a bike just from the lobby. Tulum is an excellent place to visit, this hotel was a great base to explore the area.

The staff are always friendly, courteous and ready to assist.
It smells great, the entire facility, from the parking garage, to the roof garden...it's just unlike anything I have ever sensed before. Great work!

Smells so good! They burn incense everywhere and it’s lovely. Rooftop pool is nice. Staff - fantastic! Very comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

Great experience overall. I’m impressed by daily turn-down service, my room is fresh every time I come back from a long day outside. Just bring your own body lotion.

Beautiful hotel with hundreds of little details and amazing rooftop. Big rooms with everything you need and very clean.
Customer service not so great. We felt that they were more concerned about tips or selling you extra stuff, than the service itself.
Some waiters tried to bargain drink prices/tips if we pay with cash. And at the checkout we were challenged that we used drinks for the mini bar even though this was untouched. And we weren't the only ones.

Everything was just okay other than the massage they offered people were kinda rude in that area that’s all

Stayed for a few days. Basic, but clean hotel. Roof top was small but nice. Enjoyed walking to dinner in the evenings and renting bikes for the beach. Was suppose to get $18 credit through Expedia for VIP, but was not given despite asking at checkout and showing proof. Ate at restaurant and was told it would come off our bill at the end.

Great hotel, cosy, great breakfast and very helpful service minded staff.

Very Good property and very good value of the money. Safe area. Restaurants within walking distance. Distance to the beach is 40-45 minutes walk/15 min by bicycle/10 min cab. Property has very nice rooftop pool.

Such a peaceful property, just close enough yet far enough from all the noise and nightlife

Helpful staff, clean and very comfy room. Located perfect between downtown Tulum and the beach.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location. Amazing pool with epic sunset. The food is hit or miss and isn't available all the time but they help you with ordering dinner. Sometimes you cant pay by card at the rooftop which is strange. The walls are paper thin so sometimes you can hear your neighbours quite well. That being said I absolutely love staying here and would stay here again! Its so convenient. Close to town and beach and has underground parking.

Excellent staff and service. Very good location close to the beach, restaurants, Downtown, Ruins, etc. Highly recommended for families or with friends.

Property is close to everything, 10 min to beach 10 minutes to cenotes, 2 min to downtown strip. The staff are excellent, Yessebel (sorry if I misspelled) at the front desk was super helpful on several occasions throughout the trip. Clean and simple with wonderful staff.

Hotel rooms and common areas look and feel new and modern. Firm beds, fresh lovely linens, modern bathroom in the rooms. It's nice that the sink area is separate from the toilet and shower. Good for a family. Staff keeps the hotel very clean too. Pool area is on the roof. Small but lovely views. Can be a bit windy. There are some upscale shops nearby and several restaurants. But the area has basically no public beach access. Can't even see the ocean. It's behind the walls of all the beachfront hotels. That was disappointment, but no fault of the hotel.

A truly wonderful experience. Beautiful hotel with amazing people. The foyer, the restaurant and pool areas up top, and the room... all joyous. I would have loved to stay longer... especially in the foyer with its bewildering scent - of what I at last learned was "tobacco and cinnamon."
A very special thanks to Jezabel (forgive me if this spelling is incorrect) - she was very kind, warm, and inviting.

Loud construction every morning, but amazing property.

The hotel itself is excellent, front desk service outstanding however the rooftop pool and restaurant service is really bad. The servers take forever to bring your orders and on top of that inflate the price of food and drinks as they wish. We paid three different prices for the same drinks on each different day. The menu said $220, we were charged $250, $280. Additionally they add 15% tip without asking which in Mexico is illegal. They don't bring an itemized receipt when you ask for the check so they can charge you more. It is a shame as it seems this rooftop bar/restaurant is managed by a different company, but overall it ruins the experience in the hotel. The extra $20-30 pesos is not a big deal, but the sneakiness of the servers is.

Our only complaint was that the mattresses were too soft and there was no coffee maker.
