BEDS NOT GOOD STAYED BEFORE,MANAGER NOT A NICE MAN,STAFF UNHELPFULL

The one thing that stands out to me is there is no obvious area to stop the car, unload baggage and check in. I found a small lot behind the building and left my car there as I walked back to the front to check in. The car park is actually across the street and once that was explained to me it wasn’t too much of a bother.

Quick check in, free laundry facilities and amazing breakfast. Visiting Stratfordshire University with my daughter.
4.4
Nice hotel for a lower cost chain. Rooms spotlessly clean. Bar is fine but too brightly lit. Restaurant isn’t very good, and that includes breakfast.

Hotel was lovely and the lady that checked us in was so nice. Room was a good size and bed was very comfy. Only thing that let it down was a fire alarm going off at 7:30am and no one told us what to do or what happened. I had to go down to reception to ask just to me told false alarm and that’s it. Other than that no issues!

The hotel itself was very good and the staff helpful. Parking was quite expensive.
The area the hotel is in didn’t feel quite safe in the evening and there were not many restaurants nearby.

It is not a reflection of staff but generally service levels were below standard and seems more of how they are setup to do by Hilton.
1. Room booked as per Hilton website to accommodate a family of 4. There were no additional beds in the room on arrival because house keeping team must have missed it while preparing room and they are not around 24 hours.
Wasted 1 hr and only after kind lady at reception prepared another room herself.
2. Restaurant is open till 10 pm for dinner but no room service after 9 pm or last orders by 9:15 pm. Not informed when asked about this at check-in. Again, staff served dinner for our order placed just around 9:15 pm but a reflection of how Hilton is saving costs at the cost of service.

We booked the hotel to visit our daughter who is starting University very shortly. Historically we had been to many Hilton’s as my husband used to travel for work but no longer does. The hotel was modern, light, clean and the rooms spacious. However, we brought our well behaved dog as the hotel said it was pet friendly, this is not really the case. Yes, you can have your pet in your room but you cannot bring them into the restaurant and you also cannot leave them in the room while you eat. Therefore, unless you want to eat in staggered stages, don’t bring your dog. The breakfast was a little basic, but it had all the standard food. If you disabled and cannot walk v far, there no disabled parking outside the hotel it’s across a busy crossing, across the road. I had sent a message asking where the parking was but received no reply, so rang at the drop off point. You had to walk down 4/5 steps and along to get to reception. I could manage this but not everyone would be able too. As a mention the pillows were awful, nearly flat had to use a towel underneath to give them any height. Overall for one night it was fine like an airport hotel but it didn’t really give off a vibe that would mean I would stay longer

Convenient for our trip to Alton towers, unfortunately after the first night our bedroom wasn’t made, no clean towels or linen despite leaving the note to state we wanted our room made. We had to ask for new towels after getting back around midnight. Also, car park is extremely narrow and tight, would recommend parking in the private paid one next door.

Nice hotel

Lovely and clean hotel. Great location and good parking as well. Would definitely stay here again.
4.4
Amazing room ! But bloody awful wings from the starter menu, overcooked and no chicken on them
4.4
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Will be staying there again. Its an oasis in a sad town centre
4.4
Comfortable hotel very clean . Restaurant onsite was good but overwhelmed with big group. Management seemed a bit inflexible. Instructions for parking on arrival could be clearer to avoid inconvenient round trip . Parking just across road was ok
4.4
Great hotel, big and clean
4.4
Parking was difficult to find unless you have been there. Lack of bath tub. Water splashing outside when taking a shower. Aircon not cold enough.
Flaws were compensated by staff from reception, cleaner, cook and dining staff. Very accommodating.
4.4
Nice clean and modern hotel with a good spread for breakfast.
4.4
Great hotel and excellent room, big and nice and clean. We found it very difficult to find the car park but not problems thereafter. Would stay here again.
4.4
Car park not free and not next to the hotel. No concierge which makes you to struggle taking your luggage to your room. Room is quite and clean. Room size is good and comfortable.
4.4
Lovely hotel. Great restaurant and bar with lovely, friendly staff.
4.4
Lovely hotel, great location and amazing food.
4.4
Clean and modern, have no clue why we had to pay for the car park when it’s the hotels own.
Couldn’t order any lunch as we were told it was out of lunch time when the board behind literally said otherwise.
4.4
Everything was as good as we expected

Being terrorised by a homeless person outside of the property. Obviously not a new thing for staff … as their nonchalant attitude did not help matters. Front desk receptionist was rude and unhelpful.
Restaurant staff were amazing as was the food!
4.4
Excellent hotel with great facilities. Lovely comfortable room and good location. Perfect for what we needed. Only slight downside was the check in person wasn’t very welcoming or friendly
4.4
Nice place quiet clean delicious food nice staff especially Marcel very helpful in booking . I do recommend this hotel
4.4
Very clean good sized room and hotel quiet.
We were allowed to check in early as we had a wedding to go to..very accommodating
4.4
Very convenient for us as we wanted to be in centre of Hanley. Short walk to bus station.
4.4
Just brilliant

The room was clean, very nice. Reception was problem. I had returned from the theatre and was waiting for my room key, when I saw a working dog defecate in the lobby !
The hotel staff did absolutely nothing about it, didn’t even say a word to the owner. The owner was fairly quick to pick it up.
I expected the staff to at least disinfect the area but they didn’t, horrendous!
4.4
Nice new hotel with clean rooms.
The air conditioning did not work in our room, we reported it and ask for it to be repaired. This never happened.
Checkin was slow due to a lack of staff, dinner service was slow due to a lack of staff and the staff that were working appeared to have no knowledge of the menu or wine list. Many things on the menu were not available but the waitress did not know this, so had to reorder twice.
Breakfast was ok, self service buffet with limited options
4.4
Very enjoyable

Car parking a bit confusing as it’s on opposite side of the hotel. Check in was efficient but receptionist didn’t ask us about our stay or anything when we checked out. Room very clean and comfortable. Would be better if hadn’t had dirty glass and mug outside the door on arrival however. Tables in the bar area weren’t cleared or cleaned either and I had to ask the barman to clean the table. Nice breakfast, good interior design and convenient location for Hanley.

On check in no one advised us there was no dining until after 8.15 as restaurant reserved for group booking. There was no provision for other guests. They wouldn’t offer any room service either for myself and my 13 year old and told me to walk up the road to another restaurant. I didn’t want to have to go anywhere else having driven 5 hours we were shattered!
We found Pubic hair on the wall in our bathroom.
Then at 10pm school children were running up and down the corridor ‘practising for their athletics’.
Breakfast selection was basic, there weren’t enough staff to clear the tables and even when cleared they weren’t wiped down so still had food from previous guests.
Very disappointing.
4.4
We didn't really do much in the surrounding area so we have no idea if this was near anything. It was annoying to have to park over the road and lug our cases from the carpark across from the hotel. The restaurant was booked up as there was a coach party staying, so we could not get dinner until after 8pm. Breakfast was good, hotel was nice, staff were nice. Would probably stay again if in the area.
4.4
convenient for what we needed

Quiet and warm with parking which is my main 3 things!!
The carpark is over the road from the hotel. Its a basic carpark in a not so picturesque area, but better than nothing and you pay 9 pounds at reception.
The check in was so time consuming and totally unnecessary. Having been a hotel receptionists myself, the process could of been more friendly and more efficient. We also had to fill in forms by hand. Very peculiar this day and age.
The two receptionists also did not recognise who was next in line to be served and served some one else before the gentlemen next in line.
The team in the morning serving on the shop and desk were not forthcoming with friendliness either.
The hotel and room was new and very clean. The room echos and lacks a chair to sit on but the towels were of a good size and the hair dryer had a very long cable so reached to the mirror. Good size room, coffee tray hadnt been restocked.
Very quiet hotel, bar, restaurant with outside smoking area by the entrance for those that wish to smoke comfortably. (Not us)
We checked in at 930pm friday and left at 640am Saturday.
I like my hotels but for the money, i dont think its anything special and had better customers service at a budget hotel. No atmosphere or friendliness.

It was lovely
