The location was key for me and this was perfect for my plans in total
2.0
The location was great in our opinion. Close to the subway with lines that took us were we wanted to go. Nice to be able to use the washing machine and right across from 7eleven.
2.5
The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was spotless. There was a subway station and bus stops nearby that took us to all the Kyoto sights, not to mention Kyoto train station a quick walk away.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. The location is absolutely perfect—situated in a convenient and accessible area, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and amenities.
One of the standout aspects is the excellent price. It's rare to find such a great deal in a prime location without compromising on quality. This property offers fantastic value for money.
Comfort was another key highlight. The rooms are well-maintained, clean, and furnished with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The beds are particularly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Pillow are bad.
Overall, I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a combination of great location, unbeatable price, and comfort. You won't be disappointed!

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and surprisingly spacious. Amenities and lobby drink lounge were great. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff was so wonderful and accommodating from the moment we arrived. We got to Kyoto at 10am and they stored our luggage all day till we returned from our activities at 8/9pm. The lobby and dinning area are wonderfully maintained with beverage options for guests and a nice sitting area to enjoy meals. There is a convenient store right across the street. You can have a view of Kiyomizudera and Ninenzaka if you are staying in the even numbered rooms. There is access to major bus and train lines less than 5 minutes away walking. They provide fresh towels and amenities daily and your room is cleaned every three days. Our room was a good sized one for two people. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this to others. We’ll be sure to book Wander Nananjo for our next trip to Kyoto

Great grape juice and other drinks available at the entrance.

Rooms are small but we expected that. Barely heard any noise from our neighbors. Had a lounge section for drinks. 7/11 right across the street and walkable distance to Kyoto station

This property Wander Kyoto was amazing! The service provided was exquisite.

Convenient location !
5.0
The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the JR station thus very convenient. The room is comfy amid a bit small and lack of space to lay out the suitcases. The room is also clean. Given it is Japan, we felt safe walking back at night. Dinning options are plentiful. Overall a pleasant stay.

The room was stuffy. The air freshener machine is dusty.
2.0
Polite front desk staff. Property had dust mostly around ventilations and air condition unit. Had drainage issue with the tub and water ended up “flooding” the washroom after taking a bath - happened twice.
I had menstrual mishap and left some stain on the bedsheet (despite using an overnight pad). I left the blanket on the side of the bed to show the room attendant of the stain. Upon my return, I noticed the room attendant didn’t bother exchanging the stained bedsheet for a new one.
7-11 is conveniently right across from the hotel.

Excellent location,
1) 24 hr laundry next door
2) 24hr 7-11 directly across the hotel
3) McDonalds 5 min walk away
4) 15 min walk to Kyoto station
5) local metro subway across the bridge (5min walk)

Everythig was excellent

Located in an area handy to the river and walkable to downtown and the railway station. Room was compact but functional. No dining options on site. Evening meals had numerous local options, but breakfast was a bit of a mission to locate, at a nearby other hotel, a couple blocks away. A convenience store was handy across the road though.

Nice hotel and friendly reception staff 24/7. Handy location to Kyoto train station 10 minute walk and easy 3-4 minute walk to metro. Only wish rooms had shelving to be able to unpack suitcase. Enjoyed our stay.
5.0
Stayed for 3 nights. Location was easy to find, close to restaurants, river, public transport, shopping and attractions. Staff were brilliant and friendly, room was small, but clean and quiet. I highly recommend.

The staff were very welcoming, allowed us to leave luggage for a few hours after check out, rooms were clean and spacious. We had a lovely stay.

There’s a 7/11 across the street, a restaurant beside it, McDonald’s a block away and so was the train station. It’s at least 15-20 min walk to Kyoto Main Station. My second time to stay at M Hotel in Kyoto. It’s spacious in comparison to other hotels in Japan. My only reservation to this particular property, I was on the second floor and the window opens to the wall and window to the building beside it. I was only here for two nights but if it was longer, I’m not sure I’ll manage without sunlight.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Clean modern property! I would stay again.
4.0
I really liked how central it was to everything, easy access to bus stops.
