It's one of our favourite hotels in Samui! Every single member of staff was very very friendly - we honestly felt like home! We were impressed with little details such as - the hotel learned our routine (e.g. we kept ordering a bucket of ice for 2 nights in a row, the next day a bucket of ice was proactively delivered to our room), or "sweet dreams" postcards and sweet snacks delivery before bed time. Thank you Kimpton Team!

Very very hospital and kind. Spectacular view. Main pool breathtaking.

Nice hotel with clean rooms. Service is a bit hit or miss and the high standards of the room and bar are not replicated in other areas especially the pool and beach furniture. Also it is a kids and family hotel so if you want peace and a pool without kids playing then book another hotel.

The property was an oasis compared to what was surrounding the hotel. It was beautifully maintained by extremely professional and curtious staff. My only wish was for the dining areas to have an AC option as somedays were so hot and humid that you just wanted to not sweat while eating. We ended up ordering in the last day just to avoid the heat.

Amazing property, staff, room and food. We had a beach villa that was spacious with beautiful views of the ocean. I loved the separation of the sleeping area and the bathroom/dressing room. The room service was on point…both service and food. We had a personal assistant with the villa and Naomi was on top of all our needs and requests. The pool was refreshing and needed because the tides were low from 6am to 6pm. The only bummer.

Lovely hotel . Poor beach and zero environmental concern to address or preserve .

Very nice staff ( Love /Eho / Peter ) and all at Shades bar but the beach cleanliness is awful for the prices charged .
There is cosmetic attention to the environment, the pollution on the beach was just observed. To date no response from IHG . Stay elsewhere if you value the beautiful environment.

The overall property design and architecture was beautiful. We loved our room which was a family suite with lagoon access and had a beautiful spacious terrace. Having the kids tent in the room was a lovely touch as well. The walkin closets are poorly designed unfortunately so they dont carry much.
The natural beach is amazing but staff dont do a good job of keeping it clean of debris and plastic which is very unfortunate as it gets in the water and you find yourself swimming in trash.
Our biggest issue was with service where we had to wait unreasonable amounts of time at restaurants especiallt breakfast. It appeared the hotel was understaffed and mismanaged. We also did not appreciate the lack of interest and care from the kids' club staff who eventually we felt we could not trust with our kids. This resort could be so much better with the right management and care.
Shout out to Naomi for all her help!

Very Stuffy feeling. Very closed off property. View is very narrow and cannot see the ocean from the balcony well. Entire property is very dark interior… breakfast is not that great. Staffs are not kind or even saying hello to the guests when you pass them. Naomi in the front desk and some other ppl were really nice, only one guy for the luggage he is super kind. I stayed Centara Reserve right before this stay. Their customer service is top notch and incredible. I am not sure what this is, it is almost same level hotel but it is really sky vs underground feel. It maybe bcz this is under Intercon group the bigger you get the less you care too much for your guest. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want better wide open ocean and view and bright sunny space better stay other places. The room was also not cleansed all the dirty plate they left the cake on.

The service and environment were both great. A variety of choices offered for Boho breakfast. To my surprise, the hotel also has regular Yoga and Thai Boxing class for us to join. Not to mention, their guest service was also warm.

What an amazing hotel!!! We have been travelling Asia for 9 weeks and 2 weeks in Thailand. This was by far the best hotel we've stayed in during our time. The moment we checked in with Barry who was absolutely incredible to the moment we checked out, we couldn't fault this hotel. All staff we encountered were happy and helpful. Nothing was a problem and always eager to help or assist. Our room was amazing, spacious and very clean. We found the food to be excellent. Really loved this hotel! Thanks for an amazing amazing stay!!!

We had a wonderful stay there.

The hotel facilities and location are fantastic. However, the food is extremely disappointing, even more so due to its expense. The breakfast is good. Lunch and dinner, at Boho or by the pool very much let down the overall experience. Recommend that the hotel pays extra attention to its food offerings.

really enjoy the stay in the hotel. kids friendly. nice swimming pool.

Overall the rooms and property were very nice. The downside of this resort during our stay was that the surf was very bad and the waves came right up to the property essentially eliminating the beach. If you are looking for a beach resort where you can play in the sand, layout on the beach, or swim this isn't the resort. If you are looking for a very nice hotel and plan on doing activities off resort or not interested in the beach this is a great choice.

We don’t usually write reviews but we couldn’t not. This was was best stay at a hotel my partner and I have ever had. We travel frequently and have stayed at budget to super luxury accommodations. If Kimpton Kitalay Samui is able to maintain this level of service and attention to detail, this will be a world class destination hotel (as it is currently operating). Everything from the moment we arrived at the airport terminal until we left was perfect. We tend to develop an adversarial relationship with the hotels we stay at wondering (and usually finding) how we are being taken advantage of. That was the opposite of the case here. The staff were incredible and seem to truly be working to enhance the wellbeing of the guests at every turn. it was like they were reading our minds. As soon as a need popped into our mind, there was someone subtly there with it in hand or it was already done. This is all without mentioning the facilities, unique beautiful layout of the space, etc.. we are not people who stay in our hotel, go to all-inclusives etc. we venture out, explore. But it was seriously hard to leave here. The food/drink was sooo good. One of the restaurants did a special Thai meal while we were there which was like 8 courses of super good Thai food made with high quality ingredients, more than we could possibly eat (and you could get seconds!) for like $30usd and the included breakfast would be like $100 in the US. Please don’t stay here so it is available when we come back ;)

This hotel is very new and I enjoy the hotel room and pool.
However, I think the restaurant can do better ( I also worked in hotel industry in USA as a Chef/cook)
We got the room included breakfast and dinner and I do not recommend anyone to do so :( please do not book the room with diner.
They nickel and dime you everything at dinner, unless you are super rich and have sport cars on your driveway, $7 for a bottle of water is kind of a lots even I am traveled from American and been travel from Mexico, Canadian, Bali, all over America, Maui and trust me even more expensive hotel than this we got water for free.
Dinner is underwhelming with the price point and you can see they never can fill up the dining room.
I rarely give this kind of review but from the cook/chef point of views that worked at the hotels before, I believe Kimpton can do much better just need really good chefs or food and beverage manager that can posh this property and dining room.
I might not be back just the restaurant experience but you know, there will be many tourists will come and I really do wish someday your restaurant will be full of guests that happy with the food and not $7 a bottle of water ( so many people might think it’s cheap but I think it’s too much and we paid so much for the room :(
FYI : bottle of Evian in USA the big one is about $4 and Luxury hotel in USA fill up the water in the glass for customers for free )

Excellent property with great amenities. The rooms are one of the best I've seen in a hotel. It opened in 2022 january so everything is new and in the best condition. I would recommend this property to everyone looking for a great stay in Koh Samui.
