The room we stayed in had a blue color scheme which was very nice. Every staff member was exceptional. The bed was not the most comfortable but fine for one nights stay. Water pressure for the sink was none existent, again fine for one night. The hotel itself was so unique and fun. Would definitely stay again for a short stay.

Super friendly staff, everyone was delightful, and the whole place was immaculate clean. They also have the best salmon I ever had so check out ash bar and get you some. Seriously everyone was great and it was a wonderful stay. They even had a couple of events the first two nights I was there.

Hotel Ulysses is a little different. A little odd. A little old-fashioned. All in a very good way. I won't try to describe the decor except to say it is charming. We only had brunch in the restaurant but it was delicious and the setting is elegant. Staff was super courteous and helpful start to finish. Not sure what "star" rating this hotel is but our experience was five-stars!

Safe neighborhood. Restaurants and parking close by. 20 min walk to the inner harbor. Room is on the small side, but clean and comfortable.

It was not great. It was okay.

The room was fine but the “free” continental breakfast was terrible. Bad coffee and no pastries.

My room was whimsical, cozy, and spotless. The ASH company aesthetic is spooky and enchanting with bespoke touches everywhere (they even have their own signature scent in candles, soaps, lotions, and shampoo!). The staff—shout out to Ebony, Marguerite, Christoper, and Jared—understand the meaning of hospitality. I’ve already booked my next stay!

Appreciated the comfy clean room and impeccable service at front desk and restaurant. Quick spontaneous overnight stay for nearby music festival. Thanks!

The rooms were clean and well appointed. Bathroom had beautiful fixtures and boutique colors and design. The canopy bed was so nice. Temperature well controlled with thermostat in room The issue is that the room was uncomfortably small with our Queen size bed. It was hard to move around in the room and had one small table and chair that was jammed in the corner. Limited public transport and the area gave a feeling of being unsafe after dark.

The hotel is overall very dark and the rooms are so dark it was difficult to put on makeup in the bathroom. Lights were difficult to manage and the room was very small. Hair dryer didn’t work after trying several different outlets and trying to reset the gfi on the dryer cord. We were told there was no brunch only to find out there is but you just have to wait for the chef to arrive. There are many stairs outside and in to negotiate and the front doors are incredibly HEAVY so dealing with the doors and luggage was not pleasant. The parking is very frustrating! Have to park in a lot down the street and can only park for 24 hours at a time. Re-upping the parking has to be done from the lot-cannot add more time via the app on phones. REALLY inconvenient.

The hotel is unusual in a good sense - its decor is absolutely lovely and the published photos are true to reality. The bed was very comfortable! The housekeeping had issues, however, but we were upgraded, and the front desk sent us on a goose chase to find parking… Look for the nearest indoor garage called Laz.
Overall, it was a good choice!

The Tomorrow Suite was a beautiful place to unwind - I especially loved the tub! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Both of the hotel bars are gorgeous and fun places to grab a drink but I would recommend walking elsewhere in Mount Vernon if you're actually hungry.

The so called continental breakfasts is a joke. It’s open late and guests are only allowed one pastry in plus a drink. It’s a unique experience once is enough.

Very nice stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed.

Rooms are decorated almost too kitschy for their own good and are very small. The bed and shower were the best parts of the stay. I did not love that the room had no fridge or water available. No water in the lobby either. There are two bars on site but I was a business traveler and did not have the energy. Also, the only wifi is wide open and unsecured.

Room was small but very well appointed and comfortable. Strangely the toilet and hand sink were in two separate rooms.

My only issue is the size of the rooms. It was difficult sharing the room.

Rented out the room which the toilet did not work. The front desk was not helpful at all. After I reported this to Expedia and Expedia communicated with Ulysses, hotel front desk and the manager promised to refund the first night credit. But they refused to refund the credit up to now.

The rooms were really nice, the lighting in the room needs to be brighter. Only 1 mirror and that is in the bathroom need another one for 2 people getting ready. The shower was super nice. Parking there isn’t any had to walk a block over to park and we had to pay to park. No lot for hotel. It was a nice hotel!

The Ulysses is such an incredible place!
I’ve never before stayedin such a unique, historic hotel.
The room was comfortable and kept perfectly clean.
It was within walking distance to some great coffee shops.
The staff was extremely kind and accommodated my very late arrival due to flight delays.
Thank you!

Very stylish and thoughtful touches everywhere. Loved the complimentary Baltimore magazine and NYTimes. The Coral Wig cocktail bar under the hotel was stellar, too.

This place was very nice. We only got to spend one night here. But we will def be back! Clean. Great staff. The place is not your average hotel experience. But it was cute and clean and friendly. The ONLY downfall is the parking. Had to park around the corner (2 min walk) and not on the property. But no inconvenience unless theres BAD weather. But we will def be back!

We stayed in room 915, The II Gattopardo at Hotel Ulysses was absolutely stunning, with every detail beautifully crafted. The linens were custom-made, and the vintage pieces added a unique touch. The shower and freestanding bathtub were simply breathtaking. However, the room was really cold, and unfortunately, guests can’t control the heat themselves as the hotel manages the temperature. There was also no phone in the room, so I had to use my cellphone to contact the hotel.
When I DoorDashed an order, I was told it’s hotel policy not to bring anything to the guest rooms, except for towels, though we didn’t need any, so I can’t speak to that. While the hotel excels in aesthetics, it falls short in providing the full luxury hotel experience. Having stayed at luxury hotels before, I expected the service to match the beauty, but I was disappointed. For $400 a night, I expected more than just complimentary coffee after check-out.
Overall, the staff weren’t very hospitable. They were very kind but service was average. They didn’t offer assistance with our bags, and they seemed stressed, overwhelmed, and understaffed at both the Ash bar and Blooms. In summary, staying at Hotel Ulysses felt like going on a date with a dangerously beautiful woman, only to find you have nothing to talk about—underwhelming, but undeniably nice to look at.

Bathroom vanity was really small, just a sink and a ledge. Shower was long and arched and only adequate. A lot of things like the towel rack and the toilet seat were too high for me. I guess the bathroom was made for tall men not short women… the bed was ok. A lot of covers for the summer. I just used a sheet and I brought my own pillow. There are several little green lights that made it harder to sleep and the AC made a humming, groaning sound a lot of the time, even when I hadn’t adjusted the temperature. Also, there was this weird electrical disturbance around one of the bedside lamps - I unplugged the lamp but I kept seeing this flashing all throughout the night (I’m sure they would love people to think it was ghosts because it’s that kind of place). The lights are all dim (they will provide little lamps) and there’s like a sandalwood or cedar smell maybe? Also there are disturbing paintings of men about to murder naked women in the lobby. I’m sensitive to sounds, lights, and scents so this place was not for me for that reason but there are many reasons why I will not be staying here again.
