This prestigious huge luxurious Mediterranean style family-friendly home, warmly named "Kara" which is Cornish for “to love, to care, to respect", is well known in the area for its visual statement. You will marvel at the spacious design, tasteful and neutral décor and implacably maintained throughout and soaked in sun sitting on Hobart's beautiful Eastern Shore, only a 15-minute drive to the Hobart CBD, perfectly positioned to capture breathtaking views of the Derwent River to the city and Mount Wellington.
Set over three levels, this home has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms & toilets, 4 living areas, 1 super king bed, 5 queen beds, and 4 single beds, 1 baby cot (upon request), great for large families, groups or those just wanting some extra space. The main and the lower levels are designed with accessibility features.
Upstairs, a very generous master suite incorporates a comfortable parents' retreat. There are two balconies showcasing the magnificent water views, a large walk-in robe and spacious three-piece ensuite. There are a further two bedrooms on this level, plus the family bathroom, complete with a corner spa. luxurious master suite sizeable main bedroom with its own large sun deck off one side and a smaller balcony off the other all with sensational water views plus a well-designed walk-in wardrobe. There are two more bedrooms on the top level all with built-ins. To keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, a reverse cycle ducted aircon has fitted throughout this level.
A front entry foyer on the main level of the home leads to the formal living area which offers floor-to-ceiling windows allowing an abundance of natural light and highlighting the ever-changing, living landscape of the Derwent River and the city beyond. A second living area is perfect as a formal dining area or private sitting/meeting room. The big kitchen features large windows, ample cupboards, and bench space, and is open to a family meals area, a formal dining area with a separate lounge room with its own concrete sun deck, and more sensational views from this area. There are two bedrooms on this level, a two-way bathroom, a grand entrance hall, and the largest of laundries. To keep you warm on the coldest of Hobart's winter nights is a built-in jet master open fire place, reverse cycle heat pump, the air conditioning side of this will keep you cool in summer plus ducted heating throughout the midlevel.

Absolutely stunning property with a great and easy to communicate with property manager.

We had a most wonderful stay with our group of 10. The host was very accommodating and let us check in early as well as check out later. We enjoyed our early morning routine watching the sun rise while sipping on hot coffee. Highly recommended.

Bathrooms did have a few cleanliness concerns - quite a bit of loose hair found on floor and some rubbish on floor in top bathroom.

A group of family members (12 people ranging from 13 to 75) had a magnificent stay here. Unbelievable views, great communication with owner/manager, very flexible in regards to check-in, check-out. All beds very comfortable, brilliant family dining experience, and the views of Hobart and Mount Wellington are to die for. Thank you so much, we will be back, Peter
