Cleanliness
4.5
Plenty of space for the family to spread out. Good facilities, from the kitchen to the laundry. Beach was a short walk away.
This wasn’t a problem for us, however some may expect a TV with access to more channels.
3.5
Home was large and spacious with nice large windows and plenty of beds and living areas. Books and toys were available for the kids to play with. House has two kitchens so could easily accommodate two families.
For such a large house, it had only one tiny old tv with only free to air TV available to be shared with multiple people. This really was disappointing. Every other accommodation had at least a decent tv with at least netflix. Furniture was also on the older side as well. There is no dryer which makes it difficult for travellers who are on road trips and trying to make the most of the days (not spent washing and hanging out clothes to dry and watching the weather).
We had 6 people and after booking were advised that only 3 queen beds and a single bed would be provided despite it being advertised as a 6 bedroom house at tiime of booking. I was ok with it until I realised that 3 bedrooms downstairs consisted of 1 queen and the other 2 rooms were bunk bed rooms and the rest of the bedrooms were upstairs comprising 2 doubles and 3 single beds. All the single beds upstairs were missing sheets and linen so we had to take sheets from downstairs bedroom and other beds to use the single beds upstairs. Due to the configuration of beds and wanting to all stay on one level (upstairs) due to having older grandparents with us, we had to use the single beds upstairs. Would have been better if all the beds were made with linen so we had a choice not knowing what the configuration/layout of the house beforehand. Understand that was a cost saving decision for cleaning but was a real inconvenience in the end for the travellers staying.
