About this house rental
Set back along a tree line neighborhood street in downtown San Rafael sits a cozy, artsy bungalow set in with tall redwoods and bamboo, a view of Mount Tamalpais welcomes you home. Walking distance to Whole Foods, Trader Joes, United market, and all that downtown 4th street has to offer- cafes, restaurants, bookstores, and the cute San Rafael Theater.
Walking distance to the San Rafael transit center, you can take the Marin Airporter from SFO airport for a $32p person.
Please note: I live here full-time, and because I'm delighted to host people from all over the world, and I love to travel, this allows me to do so. In that case, letting me know for sure that you will stay here is very much appreciated in advance and with certainty so I can also make travel arrangements:). My home is not a rental property, so if you are looking for something like a motel, please stay in a motel.
My home is your home to enjoy the good vibes!
For long term rental inquiries - I am seeking someone for summer and fall to stay for the duration of one to two months. Aailable for the long term any other time. Prices are based on Double Occupancy and extra people are an extra cost to account for wear, tear and utilities.
Unfortunately, we have to pay Marin county a 12% tax fee just like every hotel does. Thanks for understanding!

My fellow teachers and I had a wonderful time at our teacher conference. It was so nice to come home to a beautiful house to reflected on the days lectures and workshops. Thank you for offering your home to the world to stay and feel comfortable. The neighborhood is close to San Rafael and it was so nice to go for a walk. Jocelyn's home is clean and well taken care of. She is responsive and a great communicator with her guest.
Thank you for everything!

Jocelyn is a wonderful hostess. She communicates clearly and is easy to reach with any questions and checks in to see how we were doing upon arrival. Everything is laid out very nicely and has such beautiful home touches. The bathroom and kitchen are very nicely remodeled and everything just feels nicely done and decorated. Netflix and Disney plus were a hit with the kids as well. Our little family of five had the most pleasant stay and Jocelyn’s home acted as the most peaceful home base for our trip. Thanks Jocelyn!

We were extremely comfortable at Jocelyn’s house! The three kids jammed out on the musical instruments and all of them slept on the big red bed in the living room. Thank you for the lovely evening!

My fellow colleagues, and I stayed at the Dreamcatcher while we were attending an early childhood conference at the Marin Waldorf School. It was close to the school and close to many wonderful restaurants. Jocelyn’s home was quite and clean. She has all the things you need in the kitchen to cook and a beautiful place to sit outside to enjoy your coffee. It is a home away from home. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much. ❤️

Jocelyn’s house was a joy to stay in. She was very attentive and even left us snacks in the fridge. Note there is no AC in the house, but open windows and cool evenings made it comfortable.

We had a great stay at this classic Marin bungalow - the living and dining area is spacious and inviting with vintage 1970s touches, and access to Netflix and Disney plus. There's a beautiful little outdoor space for lounging and an evening drink. The kitchen and bathrooms are fully renovated. We wished the room in the back had a little more ventilation but other than this we were super comfortable. There is a small bakery nearby - Arizmendi- whose cherry corn scones still dream about.

Dreamcatcher was a really nice place. It held me and my wife, my brother-in-law and another brother and sister-in-law very comfortably. We were in town for a wedding and had the bride and groom over for breakfast one morning. Never seemed crowded at all. Even though there was only one "official" bathroom on the main floor, there was another "powder room" in the basement that came in very handy. Great place to stay. The owner was very open and communicative. We'd stay there again if we have another function in Marin County.

This was our second stay in this house (due to Covid, we haven't been able to travel since 2019) and we were all excited to return! The location is amazing, very close to shopping and restaurants, and in a quiet neighbourhood. The house is well-decorated and a perfect size for our family (my husband and I plus our two teen daughters) and the outdoor space off of the kitchen is a fantastic place to have coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. The kitchen is very well set-up and the bathroom is gorgeous and recently renovated. Parking is also very easy.
Jocelyn is very easy to deal with as a host and extremely communicative. We had no issues during our two-week stay and all questions were responded to very quickly. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

We really enjoyed staying here. It felt relaxed and homey, and was very clean and well equipped. It’s close to the Larkspur Ferry for day trips into San Francisco. The host was easy to reach and communicate with. She gave hiking recommendations when I asked before the trip which was very helpful. The back patio was comfortable and private. Skylights add sunlight and really brighten up a couple of the rooms. The kitchen is well stocked. The week we were there was much warmer than normal and would have liked a couple more fans, but we made it work. Parking may be a little tricky with a large SUV but was fine with our Accord rental.

I grew up in Marin. This house is decorated in a charming style that evokes my childhood. The house is well appointed with some nice surprises. Pay attention to instructions: the clever cabinets have hidden drawers, with illumination .

This is a lovely home with beautiful light and spaces to connect with a close friend or family. The location couldn’t be better for walking to restaurants and is a very quick drive to excellent hiking and views on San Francisco Bay. Really a delight to stay, very welcoming and good energy.

The house met all our expectations and was centrally located for our activities. My wife fell in love with the kitchen with the lighted drawers. Only negative was no air conditioning with the hot weather but the house cooled down quickly with the windows open.
