Nestled on a bluff in a private location this “wing-style” home sits on a 3.33 forested acreage of land. Enjoy unobstructed 180-degree views of the water, mountains from Baker to Rainier, and occasional orcas! Built in 1986, this home has floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views in every room and hardwood floors throughout.
Artistically decorated on the inside, the home has new appliances with mid-century modern touches. Lounge in the stylish living room or cook up a tasty meal in the kitchen which features stainless steel appliances and breathtaking views of the water. An additional cozy living room offers a stocked bookcase, a record player and records for your listening enjoyment.
Though this home has plenty of history, it also has a few modern updates including new decks, new heating and cooling system, and remodeled bathrooms.

The close proximity of the high bluff may make this home unsuitable for small children
Please note that the owner occasionally needs to overnight in her own private space in a separate wing of the house. She accesses this space via an external staircase to a private deck on the north side of the house.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the island. The view and furnishings are stunning. The beds were not too our liking (too soft). Loved the quiet!

This property is as advertised--the views are stunning, the lot is private but very convenient to downtown shops and restaurants, and the home is clean and well-maintained. The only negative aspect is not the fault of the home or its owner, but of the property company, which gave me the wrong code to the door and took a half-hour to respond with the correct code when I called. Once we got that sorted out, we had a wonderful stay.

There were only two disappointments to our stay:
1) There is no gas or wood fireplace in the home, just a structure in which you could light a gel canister behind fake logs, but there was only one partially filled canister (of three spots) and we found the smell unpleasant. We were sad to not have a fire to read next to while enjoying watching the weather moving over the water.
2) Communication with Vacasa (prop. mgmt) -- they didn't respond to one email and one text question (albeit non-critical issues), check-in instructions could have been more clear.
Otherwise this was one of our favorite rentals. The view can't be beat. It's in such a quiet and private location. It's convenient to stores, restaurants, and parks, yet felt remote. The home is beautifully, thoughtfully, and uniquely decorated. The kitchen is very functional and well-stocked. The living spaces were comfortable for spending a few days and felt bigger than the square footage suggests. The outdoor set-up gave plenty of options for enjoying the space--deck lounging or dining, patio dining by the yard, fire pit.

This house is a lovely home that someone really cares about. From the garden to the art you can see that love was put into this home. It was a great spot for use to stop on our trip through Vashon. Everything is close and convenient. The house was clean and had plenty of yard for my young kids to explore. Also the kitchen is well stocked.

A nice quiet getaway with a beautiful view! Large space for 4 adults to read, sit on the deck, dine, play board games, and enjoy nature! We were lucky to see a full moon rising over the Cascades along with the sun rises! Nice artwork throughout and lots kitchen accessories!
A very enjoyable time!

We spent the weekend here for my wife’s birthday weekend, the place was perfect, spacious living room and kitchen, beautiful decks, everything in the house was so detailed and well thought out. Close to main businesses. We hope to stay here again sometime!
