This property is very comfortable and has sufficient room for friends or family. We had some of each visit at different times during our month-long stay. The cabin is very nicely furnished and has every kitchen tool anyone could want. The hot tub is new and was quite a joy after golf. Our guests had nothing but compliments for the property and we couldn't agree more.

I have zero complaints about the house or the location. Everything was great. I have a VERY BIG complaint about how many times the booking agency or property renters handle their check-outs. I received a handful of messages via text and email. This was acceptable UNTIL we got one at 7:02AM the day we were to check out. Look, if people don't take your 20 other warnings about checking out on time then it's their fault. Some people don't need to get up 3 hours early!!! Absolutely ruined our morning of the last day. Change your policies of communication. WAY OVERKILL!!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay and had a great family Christmas. The cabin we super nice and clean enough but there were some cobwebs around widows and ceilings. There were some type of animal that crawls in the walls. It appears they enter by the fire place and are heard on the main level and the upstairs walls. The only thing I wish that would have been different was I sent an email to the rental company asking if there would be a Christmas Tree and no one responded. Had I known there was not one, I would have made preparations but nevertheless we had an awesome time and will stay again.

Loved the cabin, especially the layout, which provided a bedroom on each level and allowed for privacy. This was the best stocked VRBO I’ve ever stayed at. Would definitely recommend and we hope to come back.

Over all the house was nice and cozy. The porches on all levels of the house were great to offer as gathering spaces for my whole crew but make sure you unlock the doors before you go out side in order to avoid getting locked out. The view is sub par more like muddy frozen pound then a lake with no real clear access point, if you actually wanted to fish the “stocked lake”. There is zero information on where to take your trash upon departure it just says take trash off property. The pool sticks are all very warped which made it difficult to play a nice game of pool .Other then these annoyances, furniture was comfy, lay out was nice the hot tub was amazing. I would stay there again with lowered expectations.

The location was good and the house was very comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, cutlery, and some basic spices. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets in the house. There were also some toys and books for little kids and several board games for both kids and adults, which we enjoyed. The basement game room with the pool table is awesome.
The one thing we would have liked is to have one or two extra trash bags and dish washing pellets. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids and ended up a bit short on those two things.

My sister and I and our spouses have been taking a yearly trip to the NC mountains for 5 years. For four of these years, we’ve chosen to stay in a cabin. We love the scenery, love playing pool, doing karaoke, cooking, and relaxing in a hot tub. This cabin is beautiful and has everything needed. The beds and pillows are slightly firm. The pool table is excellent. The foosball table is unusable and we also weren’t sure if there was a firepit. It’s hard to determine if the one outside is shared or belongs to another cabin. We did love this place overall and especially the location! Thank you!

Overall, a great place to stay with friends or family. We had 5 kids 11-16. They stayed busy, had fun and fished. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals.
The only negative to us was NO fire pit! I loved everything about this place, but I want an outside fire pit haha. I was extremely jealous of the neighboring houses.
Again, all in all, it was a great place to stay.

Disappointed the body of water was a muddy pond - and the owners could have more chairs on both decks. Home was older than expected - but it was a nice stay.

The place was nice and clean. Check in process was very easy. Only thing is that we couldn’t figure out how to make the place cooler so it got hot at some points during our stay. But other than that it was great!

Pros: This was a great location, large and beautiful cabin, pool table, fuse ball, board games available, and well equipped kitchen supplies. We saw a lot of deer which was so lovely. We stayed 4 nights 1/12/23. The location was within a short 10 minutes drive to closest super market and Hawksnest Tubing. Absolutely need a 4x4 since these are windy mountain roads. The roads were plowed regularly after the snow.
Cons: The cabin is very drafty you could see through some of the wood panels and feel the winter draft a lot. The king size beds were very hard and not comfortable. I’d suggest the owners invest in better mattresses or add some significant padding to the mattresses. The showers were very hard to adjust temperature, it was either ice cold or scolding hot. This should be addressed it was a challenge to bathe my kids. Lastly, there were no fitted sheets or pillow cases for the sofa bed, we looked everywhere. We needed the sofa bed for one of the teenagers. There was extra pillows and blanket in the closet so that was used but there was no sheet to put on mattress and pillow was used without a pillow case.
If the owners address these items, this would be a 5 star review. I would stay here again.

We enjoy our stay at this cabbing. I was very clean, nicely decorated, well equipped, we enjoyed grilling outside, the kitchen had all we needed for cooking great meals. Great views, great decks and balconies. Everyone had enough space. We use the two fireplaces. We played, we laugh, and we created great memories. Recommended!

Property recently changed ownership, so decor is slightly different from pictures online, but didn’t matter to us. Great location, close to banner elk, blowing rock, grandfather mountain, etc. House is in a community up on a mountain. We enjoyed our time there.
