Everything was good expect some of the staff was snotty and rude.

Mission Point Resort is beautiful! We loved the Adirondack chairs on the lawn with the lake view.

Rooms were marginal at best. Had to complain to change room. No proper sitting facilities in the room. Staff helpful.

Nice place. Not directly in the downtown but is a very nice resort.

We were put in a room far from the lobby, in a semi-remodeled, older building. The room was quite small. It was a longer walk to downtown and the shuttle came once an hour so you need to time it right. The freestanding AC unit had a hose through the wall and was quite loud. We could hear the neighbors conversations, the walls are thin. We paid for a harbor view, there was none. The worst part is that our luggage was sent to the wrong port!! We waiting in st Ignace for over two hours before they told us it was sent to mackinaw city, then we had to drive there to get it. The ferry company said this hotel is notorious for this mishap.

Mission Point is an OLD facility. They allow dogs, but they put you as far away as possible in the Straits bldg. The rooms don’t have central air. Window units only in the Straits bldg. LONG LONG walks from the main desk to the Straits and other bldgs. Not all rooms are in one bldg. Lots of hills and downward slopes. If you have a scooter you are in for a LOT of battery use. Lots of cobblestone walkways. Very bumpy on scooters, walkers and wheel chairs. Mission Point is very far from the center of town. Carriage rides run 8.50 per person to get to town, one way. No room service. Rooms are teeny. Broken tiles. Only amenities are a coffee maker (that didn’t work), an empty fridge (no water supplied), an iron and board and a hair dryer. Not worth the charges they have for rooms. I’ve had much better for the same cost.

Love this history of this hotel, the dining at the hotel was amazing staff and food, lots of activities family friendly

The hotel located on a very nice part of the island but the room did not have central AC and the portable unit was very noisy. The tub was not cleaned and the water did not drain properly. there is no AC in the building and the elevator was out of order on such a busy weekend.

Very pretty & clean

Beautiful stay. Only complaint I have which is not really the resorts fault. The resort is dog friendly, and the room directly above us would leave there dog in the room and it would constantly bark and howl, as well as jump off the bed making a loud thumps. Other than that is was beautiful.

Unique place … old and outdated but the help/service was amazing

We had trouble with the toilet flushing, the tub backed up, TV didn’t work all channels were fuzzy and the air conditioner was extremely loud.

With recent updates, Mission Point is still the place to stay, especially for families. Staff very helpful and friend

Rooms are very very small. We had alot of noise the first night but they accomodated us and moved us to a much quieter room, which saved our stay. However, the new room was even smaller than the first, which was very small, and there wasn't even a chair for both of us to sit in at one time. For over $400 a night we expected a bit more room to move around in the room.

Nothing good. The room is dated, the hotel has nothing to wish for. I would never recommend or go back. We left early and they absolutely did not care

I specified we needed handicap room and a room close to facilities as we have 2 people in walkers. None of this was taken into consideration. They put us in a building that was the furthest on the property. Half way there we gave up and security came and brought wheelchairs to get them to the room. We were so far away from hotel restaurants that we had to go get food and bring it back to them so they could eat. No walk-in, handicap shower - as I was told we would have. It was a bathtub. When I complained about all of this to a “manager” on the phone, she said all she could do was provide a shower stool. When my uncle tried to take a shower, the broken, taped up shower head sprayed all over the bathroom floor and when he stepped out of tub, he slipped and fell - hitting his head and landing on his tailbone. I don’t know who is running this place but I would like some answers as to how this went so wrong when I tried to ensure my Aunt and Uncle’s safety.

Staying at Mission Point Resort gave us a secluded feel staying on Mackinac Island yet it was so close to the heart of it all. Beautiful place with such charm.

First, I will say it was very clean and the grounds were beyond gorgeous. The bed was comfortable (which is important to me). The room left some to be desired as it was very basic. No chest of drawers to put clothes in, not enough outlets. One outlet couldn't take a phone charger because it was so close to the built in headboard there wasn't room which indicates a lack of attention to detail. The walls were thin, but it was mostly families so no late night parties. We definitely knew what was going on with our neighbors during the day though. The food at the main restaurant was mediocre at best. It's pretty obvious where they spend their money and where they don't. Considering this is a resort and the price, I wasn't super impressed.

Food was cold. Towells were cheap. Help was friendly and informative.

This hotel is a bit of a walk from ferry service. The provided shuttle is not free. Large property with a beautiful setting although very hilly. Dogs are allowed in the Straits Lodge and although most were well behaved, there were several that barked whenever you walked by.
Food and service in the restaurant was very good.

Very nice property, several dining options & easily walkable to town. Somewhat overpriced for the size / quality of a standard room however.

Beautiful grounds and so much to do on the property yet still only a mile walk to downtown through the beautiful streets of the Island. Very comfortable and the portable air conditioning unit was great since it was extremely hot for the Island during our stay. Food and beverages were great at all the restaurants and some great coffee shops.

I've been coming to this resort for over 30 years! Never disappoints! Great for a couple or an entire family… they can handle it all!

Lovely property, great friendly staff, grounds are gorgeous. While fairly quiet we were “miles” away from the main resort building.

Beautiful island, and lovely property. Easy walking to downtown and the water.

Stayed at Mission Point a few times.
We love it because it’s outside the main shopping area and quiet, yet definitely close enough to walk!

Enjoyable visit to Mackinac Island. Mission Inn provided us with nice amenities and was a great location for exploring the island. Dining at the Bistro on the Greens, and the Roundhouse was a good value, and the food was delicious, especially Bistro on the Greens. We also had a gourmet dinner at Chianti, and the gentleman playing the piano was a lovely plus.

Wonderful staff.

The two full bed rooms were so cute! A little light on storage and no desk space, but otherwise, very comfortable and the overall facility was great.

Should give shuttle service free with stay. And the slope is so steep that it’s hard to climb with someone in wheelchair or push it up. So should consider handicap accessibility. And coffee snack restaurant should be almost full time. Also Swimming pool should have heated water cause Children love to play in warm water and don’t want to fall sick with cold water. Rest all staff were so helpful and polite. Loved their hospitality.

I stayed at this property almost 10 years ago and it was pretty decent. Unfortunately, unfortunately, is not been kept up to Standard. It should have been and shows its age and neglect.
Dining on the property was great and had beautiful views, but the unit we stayed in which I believe was the straits building was in very rough shape.

It was a great place to stay. Comfortable with beautiful views
