Great location. Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Note: most restaurants closed on Mondays. Hotel did have small menu but we were not made aware of that until check oit

It was chilly, and the bed was a bit harder than I'd prefer, but overall the hotel was beautiful and the staff was very friendly!! The location is great.

We stayed here 4 nights as a base to explore Normandy. Pleasant visit, hotel is well located and within walking distance of main attractions of Bayeux and restaurants. Our room was a bit spartan but comfortable. Time of year did not show us to use pool which looked nice

We had a very nice 2 night stay. Our room was a mini suite for 3 of us. Queen bed and a single bed that had its own space. The bathroom was quite large with a walk-in shower, no tub and all quite new. I liked that the floor was a laminate throughout the suite. The beds were quite comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a nice feature but did not use due to weather. Our daughter did sit in the hot tub which was warm and could have been a little hotter but not a big deal. The location was perfect for walking around Bayeux. The staff were very accommodating and helpful in getting us a taxi when needed and storing our bags on day of check out. We did not use the spa but did have the breakfast one morning and it was good. Lovely stay!

It was my centre-base for several days in the area. It was always a pleasure to come back after a long day to soak in the hot tub or relax by the pool. The hotel was very comfortable in every way and convenient for everything I needed. The staff very friendly and helpful - A joyous first time experience - Thank you to all.

A comfortable hotel.
Disappointed that restaurant not open.

The people who work here are very sweet, the property is very old and historic, which I usually love. In this instance, the rooms were small and a little bit shabby. I thought I was a bit overpriced. The location is fantastic of course.

Very clean, great staff perfect for a one night visit

Stayed here with my family (8 yr old, 5 yr old) and loved it! Great was super clean and had a great view! We appreciated the history of the building and town. Great breakfast, has gluten free breads as well.

The staff was fantastic when we needed help getting our train reservation printed out. They also gave us advice about tours in the area. The pool and jetted spa was a welcome respite after our long day of exploring the town and surrounding historic sites. They’re lobby had a cozy bar area to have a glass of wine and talk to other travelers. We enjoyed our time there.

Pool is very small with only five loungers, but rarely busy!

Sheets Not clean, no elevator.
It’s not worth for the price I paid.

Our stay at the Grand Hotel was very enjoyable. It is unquestionably a beautiful and well-maintained facility. The location is very convenient to shopping and dining options, plus less than 1 mile from the Bayeux train station. The staff were consistently responsive, going out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay. The room was very comfortable, provided all the necessary amenities, and was well maintained by housekeeping during our stay. We will absolutely return to this establishment. It exceeded all expectations.

We were very disappointed with some aspects of the hotel. Small things that could be easily fixed. The TV in our room was not working properly. Closing the bar area early in the evening. The room was also looking a bit tired and in need of decoration.

Service was great.

Initially I was concerned about the size of the room 709. Not much closet space. However, we got over that and enjoyed our time. The bar and adjacent pool patio were excellent in the warm weather. At the end of each day we had a swim and a cold beer. Is there another hotel so close to everything with such an amenity? We walked 500m to bus station Saint Patrice where we caught the 121 to Juno Beach which was the target of our visit. A most comfortable bus there and back. The Luxemburg is also walking distance to Bayeux’s three principal museums. I would recommend the Luxemburg to others.

Absolutely stunning hotel, in the heart of Bayeux. Walkable to a few museums, lovely market towns, and shops and restaurants.
We opted for the room with the terrace and hottub as it was booked for my husbamds 40th birthday. Being able to come back after a long day and get into the hottub was amazing.
I requested wine and sweets on arrival, and this was done, what a lovely spread it was.
Probably the only downfall is the towels, they need to be bigger, plus if you have the suite with the hottub or spa bath I think extra towels should be provided. However wasnt the end of the world just had to use one towel for everything thats all.
Parking at the hotel was easy, first night there were loads of spaces, 2nd night not so many but either way if it is full there are plenty of car parks around the area walking distance.
I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Made use of the Spa services. Massage was amazing.

The staff was very friendly and supportive . They let us keep the luggage in the hotel after we check out. The hotel is located just 5 min from the major street. The area is quite and clean and the breakfast was great.

Excellent location in the middle of Bayeux, a beautiful city. Secure Parking available for 15€ per day.

Older property but nicely renovated. Quite a hike to our room and up narrow stairs to the loft type rooms. No problem, but if we were elderly wouldnt have been able to do it.

The hotel staff are lovely and the location is brilliant.
The room was clean and the coffee machine a huge plus.
A small fridge would have been helpful too.
Overall a great stay.

This hotel has a fabulous location. It is walkable to everything in town. The pool and Jacuzzi were very nice and the employees were fabulous. Luckily, we were there during cold weather because this hotel has no air conditioning.

This was a very nice Hotel. It is a block off the main street. Very walkable.
Kelly, from the front desk was more then accommodating.....she was very helpful.
The only downside and no fault of the hotel, most stores and shops close Sunday and Monday. But otherwise a charming town

Our welcome was very disappointing. The front desk staff didn't offer us any helpful information when we asked. There is no restaurant. The bar is unstaffed so you have to wait for someone from reception to serve you. It is not a comfortable place to relax with a drink as it is freezing cold. The lobby washroom garbage cans were overflowing. You must ask for a room robe. It's not a true 4 star. The room was large and clean and the beds were comfortable and linens nice. The shower doesn't have glass walls so the water overflows into the entire bathroom floor making it quite slippery.

Great location in center of important, lovely piece of world history.

BEWARE - The property is cute and well located. Unfortunately while we were on tour visiting D-Day sites, the housekeeper took my prescription medication from my room. When we returned, I reported it immediately to the front desk clerk. I asked for them to look at the electronic lock records to see who had access to my room so they could be contacted that evening and recover my medication. She explained that any French Dr would easily prescribe these meds so there’s no way they could have been stolen She also informed me that the General Manager is the only one with the access to do that and they don’t bother them over the weekend. I checked out the next day as planned to go back to Paris. The morning clerk apologized, confirmed they had a temporary housekeeper from a local agency and asked me to file a police report. I’ve done that but nothing. The General Manager has never reached out to me or offered any compensation/apologies for my trouble or impact of missing my meds for a week.
So if you must stay, put everything possible in tiny safe or take it with you when you leave.

I chose to stay here for a few days while exploring Bayeux and Normandy.
The hotel is in a beautiful old building and is nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and provided some amazing tips for my visit. Secure parking is an option if required, and the optional breakfast was very nice and well priced.
The hotel’s central location makes it easy to explore Bayeux on foot, or to find a nearby restaurant or bakery.
Overall a great experience, I will stay here again next time I visit Bayeux.

We overall enjoyed our stay in the Jr Suite but was a bit disappointed that the room did not have a shower. It has a jacuzzi tub with a shower sprayer but it was not easy to use. Guess I did not see that on the list. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful planing an excursion for us and we appreciated that. Would recommend to others.

Wonderful stay. The staff is friendly and attentive. They helped to book us a tour last minute. Comfortable room close to everything.

I stayed three nights in this hotel and LOVED it. I highly recommend the breakfast (a small fee, but well worth it). Centrally located, easy walk to all of the museums, the Cathedral and anywhere you would want to shop, or eat. A friendly staff, who were always kind and offered to assist me with anything. I'll definitely stay here again!!!!
