This is a really nice chateau. The road leading up to the parking is a bit bumpy, but manageable. The hotel is really clean and beautiful. The staff were very nice as well. We enjoyed our room. It was spacious and comfortable. We loved there was a fan in our room and the soaker tub was really nice. We stayed two nights and we thought it was a really great place to stay. It was in a quiet area which we very much appreciated. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night. We both ordered the sea bass with mashed potatoes. The food was good, but it wasn’t memorable. The escargot was very good though, we enjoyed that the most. Overall we highly recommend this hotel. It’s in a great location to explore the area.

Beautiful. More than i expected. Old charm chateaux. Lovely

This is a charming place to stay! The grounds and rooms are beautiful, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The parking is ample!

loved the property and my room was awesome. most of the staff were not involved and came across as disinterested in the guest or any of their requests. Had
dinner twice and first time was ok and second was a
disaster and hotel gave us a total credit for the dinner.

Lovely hotel to use as a base to explore Bayeux and the Normandy beaches.

Superb accommodation. Room was spacious with a very large well equipped bathroom. Comfy bed.

Lovely place with quiet grounds.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
We eat there one evening and the food was excellent.

Beautiful setting and easy to walk into Bayeux
Staff were friendly and welcoming but I was disappointed that none of them could give me information on visiting D-Day memorials, especially as these are some of the major attractions of the area. I ended up giving one of them a link to a good website.
We had dinner 1 night and were very disappointed. The food was bland and not worth the cost. Many of the items on the wine menu were not available. We were glad that we did not have breakfast at the hotel based on our dinner.
5.0
A very tranquil spot and walking distance from the main streets of the town. The staff were very nice.
3.0
A pleasant enough hotel but it suffers from serious under-staffing. This is particularly noticeable at meals when there was frequently no staff in the restaurant.

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms were great, breakfast was delicious and the property is picturesque. The only room for improvement is with the staff that seemed to be in short supply. They were long delayed (past 24 hours Expedia promises) in responding to email and failed to provide info on basic questions

Poorly run and maintained, in need of updates and repair. Staff doesn’t seem to care and gross details like unemptied ashtrays (overnight) and toilet brushes left on radiators. Everything done very cheaply. Reception gave us the wrong rooms and then blamed us for their inconvenience. We are longtime visitors to France and this was a real low point. Avoid this hotel.

This is a great property with very nice spacious rooms. The extensive grounds are beautiful and help provide a small respite from the hustle and bustle of travel.

The landscape needs more care but the building is charming

Bucolic setting next to a cow pasture. Beautiful flower gardens and outdoor patio.

Little worn down...

The chateau is very old. Our room was on floor one and stairs lean a bit to one side. No air conditioning which would be a problem with any heat as they have moats of swampy water next to hotel so imagine insects would be an issue. We did not feel comfortable leaving window open and room was hot while sleeping . Our mattress was too soft leaning to one side so old. Room was not great and small! Stayed 3 nights worst stay of trip but still average and rate was good. Skipped breakfast as it looked bad for the expense. Did not eat dinner at chateau just walked 20 min to dining options. Parking was great to have but would not stay there again! Staff was nice

Beautiful property in a peaceful countryside setting. The rooms and main halls are well restored. It was convenient to have a restaurant on the premises. The food was fine but not great.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was excellent and comfortable. The staff was responsive when we reported a minor problem. We enjoyed listening to the frogs croaking away. We walked in to Bayeux. Thank you for such a nice experience!

With a few little tweaks this idyllic chateau could be truly top-notch. It's quirky, but elegant.
Pros:
Beautiful grounds, tennis courts, little bistro tables scattered about.
Friendly staff.
Bathroom on #14 was large and the hot towel rack was so luxurious.
Quiet.
Beds and linens very comfortable.
Housekeeping did a nice job refreshing the room when we wanted, but left us alone when we didn't.
Cons:
Sometimes there's a language barrier.
The restaurant service was stellar and the setting was gorgeous, but the food was average. We had beef carpaccio, salad with bacon, steamed salmon and steamed sea bass and a brownie with caramel sauce. It's a decent option if you don't want to walk 18 minutes into town.
The room had 4 packets of tea and it would be 50 cents per package after that. Seems petty and nit-picky.
The larger garbage can was for paper, while the small bathroom can was for everything else. Again, odd.
There's an elegant water dispenser in the reception area flanked by a cabinet with European adapters and knick knacks.
It all sounds trivial, but it detracts from the potential upscale experience. There are updated lighting options, plugs, entry locks, shower fixtures then there's a seat cushion hole in the elegant lounge. Details matter.
The stairway is gorgeous, but the elevator makes the upper floors accessible with luggage. If you're walking from the train (< 20 min) you will have to carry your bags down the gravel driveway. Lovely stay, but could be stellar!

Furniture in our room was rickety. The tub had no safety mat, grab bar or even partial curtain to allow a standing shower. The paid staff was friendly and helpful. The owners did not seem so. The breakfast was mediocre. Many items were not refilled. Even no water. Empty jam jar without refills. Given the choice we would have left for a different property. Utside landacape needed attention

Veey cool property, buildings and accomodations. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment in the carriage house and the entire family loved it. It was a very quick ride, less than 5 minutes into downtown.
2.0
Lovely grounds! Spacious apartment. The only things I did not like was that we ran out of hot water. We are a family of 5. 3 of us could not take showers. Also we paid for breakfast, but they were out of eggs when we got there. Also there was a semi broken table in the room. Beds were comfortable!

Beautiful location just outside Bayeux. Friendly staff.

Amazing property, friendly and helpful staff. Just one thing to keep in mind is Sunday and Monday can be difficult to find restaurants open and grocery stores. So plan ahead to do shopping before you arrive. But the staff can help get you fed if you need it. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable.

This property is quaint, beautiful and very comfortable! Wish we could’ve stayed more nights!

Quaint, Beautiful property. Clean, modern bathrooms in an old French charming chateau. Only thing is the description of the beds are incorrect and we ended up paying for an extra room unnecessarily. It was too late to cancel when we got there and realized we didn't need it bc the beds were described wrong.
4.0
Beautiful property. Staff was very accommodating. Unfortunately kitchen was not available and no dining. Breakfast bar was good. Coffee could be hotter.
1.5
Very disappointed that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment- we were not informed of this before hand which meant each evening we had to drive into the town of Bayeaux
2.5
Beautiful hotel. Restaurant was closed during our stay. Best to have your own vehicle as château is on the outskirts of town

Beautiful property. The staff and owner went out of their way to taxi us to town when the taxi did not arrive. Great charm. Meals there went excellent. You won't be disappointed in the property.

The property is very pretty and peaceful. It is clean and well maintained. I think they are understaff since same person serving is the receptionist. Overall will come back again.

Good. Room had a body odor when we arrived. Sparyed with Frebreeze which helped. Also, needed to schedule a taxi ride into town for an early morning excusion. Staff anot available to assist the eveining befor or in the AM and walked.
