Hotel was ok, older hotel and the pics are better than when you get there. Our room was a very long walk from the front desk as well, good location to downtown and food and shopping but was disappointed with the condition of the room.

I arrived at the hotel at 6pm. I left for a couple hours and returned around 9:30. I thought my vehicle was safe
2.0
Hotel was under heavy renovations which was not disclosed, 1 elevator for 8 floors

Room service is only offered if you stay 5 or more days once a week . So on Monday to Friday stay they house keeping was done only on Wednesday and even then they only made up one bed not two and bathroom wasn’t cleaned only towels where replaced. Replenishing of coffee and coffee cups replaced only for one person.
Also no night light. If you need a night light you must leave the bathroom light on and there for the coffee station light automatically stays on. Making the room way too bright.

It was so much fun! The few was kinda bad. The pool was freezing. More colder then I remember it being. There was also this very strong peppermint smell that gave me a headache and my little sister eyes were watering. But other than that. We had a fun time!

Always good there, upgraded this time to a suite was a great option with the kids
5.0
A comfy place and despite the construction it was easy to navigate and the staff was friendly and very helpful! Convenience of being able to connect our own phones to the tv and watch our own streaming services was a huge bonus after all other hotels had very limited channels and half of them didn't work!
5.0
Room and bed was very comfortable. It was quiet. Convenient location. The construction around the hotel was annoying. And the parking garage was expensive.
4.0
The hotel room was large and very comfortable and had a sitting area. Great amenities and location.

Normally, I like staying at Hotel Halifax and usually dont have anything negative to say., However with this visit, I wasn’t overly pleased with the room as the actual condition of the room was subpar, I hated the fact that we had a shared door between rooms, our card keys had to be switched out three different times until we had ones that worked. The one working elevator was inconvenient. The outdoor space was terrible, as in midst of construction. And the food from the restaurant was overpriced and not very good.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and very attentive. Unfortunately, I stayed for three nights and management doesn’t think that’s enough to qualify for fresh towels or garbage removal or any other service in your room… I could have requested extra service. I really just kind of like to keep to myself and I don’t like to go begging for assistance. I think it’s pretty unreasonable for a hotel to not give you any kind of Room service for a three night stay
The cheapness of management also shows in other ways like one of the three elevators is shut down completely, and some guests got trapped in one of the two functional ones while I was there.
If the great staff worked at a better funded facility, they would really have something magical going on, but alas.

Clean enough, but getting dated and a little shabby. The construction outside wasn’t the most convenient, but we walked through the mall without any issues. Complimentary newspapers would have been a nice touch, kind of expected from a decent calibre hotel

I booked a room with a queen size bed & a sofa. There was a chair in the room, but no sofa. The sheer curtains had a big tear in them. The door did not close well; had a big gap in between the door & frame. The heater was very noisy, actually woke me up when it turned on in the night. The smell of what I think was cleaning products was very over whelming. No bag in the garbage can, so could not tie it off when it was full. Overall impression - not great.

The construction out front is annoying, but otherwise the place was friendly, clean and comfortable. Bar/restaurant in lobby is charming. Convenient location.

solid room. bathrooms are a little tight.

Hotel in excellent shape. Service is excellent. Extreme value for money.
4.0
Convenient location - in spite of the ongoing construction in front of the hotel.
The decor is looking a bit tired.
They did have drinking water dispensers on each floor which was a very good touch.

Our stay at Hotel Halifax wasnt horrible, but i had booked the room there because I had assumed the quality of the room would be better. The shower head was wobbly on the wall, and there were some cracked tiles that could use some fixing. The staff were all very friendly, and the view of the harbour was stunning to wake up to, but the room left something to be desired.

Positive experience throughout entire stay. Check in was made easy by the gentleman that helped us. Room was comfortable and clean. The walkway from the hotel to the Marriott(the boardwalk) was brilliant.

Great hotel, located close to the waterfront and boardwalk. This place has it all. Stayed 3 nights and would happily return.

The hotel needs updating, the bed was quite soft, you have to pay for parking, check-in was easy & the clerk that assisted me was efficient & kind. There are water stations on every floor, which was convenient. Hotel is walking distance to interesting places to explore.
5.0
Nice hotel walking distance to water front and the Citadel National Historic Site. Due to the construction, it was a bit confusing in terms of parking and walking around. Staff are extremely helpful to provide instructions. There is a food court in the Scotia Square.

Our stay was ok we were disappointed that the hot tub was no longer in service even though web pictures indicated it was we were also surprised at lessons being held at the pool and the lack of cleaning services for the rooms

Everything was fantastic. Should I have one thing to say really is I wished they kept their pool a tiny bit warmer! All amenities are top notch. Highly recommend

The opening and closing doors of neighbouring rooms could be heard easily within the room.

Really nice room...ĝood helpful and professional staff. Great location and close to casino but tricky because of construction in dwntwn Halifax. Excellent value!!!
Thanks for a great nights rest!

Older hotel. Old Carpet in rooms and hallways. Old door locks. Small bathroom with old fixtures. 3 elevators with 1 broken during our 3 night stay. Did not get offered fresh towels and there was no cleaning done during stay.
Connected to pedway for Casino. Paid extra for Harbour view but there was construction on Barrington so that was the view.

Stay was good except for having to insist on room service. Apparently you only get room service if you stay for 5 days. The hotel is dated and needs an uplift. There used to be Valet parking but that is gone. There is major construction around the hotel

Had better stays

Hotel in a good location to waterfront, restaurants, bars and some shopping despite construction.Walking distance to every place we wanted to go. Hotel is clean but dated.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. It was about difficult to get there because of all the construction going on in the mall.
2.0
Carpets and walls dirty and old. Building in poor shape. Staff was great tho
4.0
Construction made walking access to local area difficult and was noisy. Hotel was a maze.
4.0
Hotel was just okay. Pretty old and beat up. Also, the water was turned off from 10pm until 6:30am which wasn’t good. In my opinion, there many better options to stay if you are planning a trip to Halifax.
