Staff were all polite, and helpful. The room was ready before check in time which was nice. Hotel was quiet throughout the night. We will be back.

Clean, updated, beautiful view, kind service workers. Excellent stay. I will definitely be back.

First night there was a screaming baby in the room next to us. We requested another room for the reminder of the stay and the staff was very accommodating and upgraded us to a quiet room. The hotel is great. Everyone is friendly and there are lots of amenities

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. The service was extremely poor—staff were spoiled, unhelpful, and careless, with no effort to resolve issues despite long wait times. Cleanliness was another major concern; the overall space felt unclean, and the sheets in my room were dirty.
While the bed was decent and met basic expectations, the property itself was outdated and in need of repair—there was even a broken wall in my room. The hotel appeared far less appealing than advertised, which was a significant letdown.
Lastly, I didn’t notice any visible efforts toward sustainability or eco-friendliness, which would have been a small positive in an otherwise underwhelming stay. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless significant improvements are made.

It was on a trip to Descanso to celebrate Thanksgiving with my partner. And the room is amazing. Comfortable, with a panoramic view and a very beautiful view of the sunset and sunrise. We were amazed by the beauty that can be seen inside the room.

We’ve stayed here several times before and it’s lovely. The one issue we had was being put in a handicapped accessible room, which meant there was no tub. The issue was the lack of a lip in the shower. Water was everywhere in the bathroom. We have 2 boys, 10 and 13. They get water everywhere. It required towels all over the floor in the bathroom. But other than that, the stay was lovely.

The pool looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The pool itself has sunk maybe an inch leaving a tripping hazard the whole way around the pool that someone could trip on and cut their foot. We planned to take child to the pool but after getting to the pool we felt disgusted. We called the front desk a number of time and nobody answered the call. Very displeased with customer service definitely not worth the money we paid.

Two nights. Staff was friendly, helpful.

Good hotel and friendly staff. It was an expensive stay at the hotel ($1200/2 nights in a twin). It's a good property but parts of the hotel are dated and on top of that they mixed up my laundry and I didn't receive it before I left. Thankfully the issue was resolved but it's still not great.

Very nice and clean hotel in good area!

First class!

Loved our room and the view of the river. We were there for a medical appointment and the view was very soothing when we got back from the hospital.
1.5
Over charge. This way, the balcony view of the water was very little and the price I paid. I expected something way better. Overall, very upset

It’s convenient to the TD Garden along with so many other spots in the city, walkable and has a few restaurants and bars that were good. For the expensive price, we would have appreciated some kind of discount for parking since it was astronomical. That would be the only reason we would reconsider next time.

Really enjoyed our stay here, super accessible for Boston and Cambridge. Room was super spacious and views were class.

Location and pool

I always stay at Royal Sonesta Cambridge. The location is great, close to Lechmere Station, so you can go wherever you want in Greater Boston. It is also very convenient to go to TD Bank Arena by walking, to see The Celtics, The Bruins or any concert.

Absolutely stunning hotel and rooms, completely spoiled by the filthy pool area and poor attitude of the front desk manager. Verbal feedback given during the stay to ask if anyone was planning on cleaning the dirt, mold, ants and thick layer of hair covering the pool side floor, with no action taken, just deflected to “it’s not our problem, that’s housekeeping”. 4 out of the 8 uncomfortable pool loungers were also broken. Cheap plastic rubbish.
Have written in feedback to the main manager since leaving with photos, but no response.
Absolute health hazard. Will be reporting to health authorities.
Also false advertising as the pool is most definitely not an “outdoor/indoor” pool. You will get shouted at if you dare to open the door to the terrace, which in itself is a dumping ground!
What a shame as the hotel itself is stunning, our room was beautiful.
If they cleaned the pool/pool side area and got polite and helpful front desk staff instead of the passive aggressive man we dealt with, what a hotel this could be!

Really nice jus the ice makers

Fire alarm forced us to rush out early and was very disorganized. If there was a real emergency, there would be major problems.
No room in the parking garage. For $50 I should have an ocean of space. Was told to park in a handicap spot.
Booked a harbour view, which wasn't ready when we checked in at midnight. We were downgraded to another room but they did give us free breakfast which was cool.

Terrible service. We requested two rooms connected or adjacent and we were assured by the manager they would accommodate. Upon arrival we got 2 rooms in separate parts of the hotel. After explaining that we have small children and they NEED TO BE NEAR MOM they said absolutely nothing available. We ended taking the rooms only for my elderly parents and children TO WALK INTO AN OCCUPIED ROOM WITH A MAN IN THE SHOWER!!! THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE EXCEPT IN MOVIES! Finally, everyone went downstairs and complained and were given a room on the same floor in the same tower - - - so there WERE ROOMS?!?! Finally, dead flies in the room. Musty old smells in the room. Needs renovation. Area is great. Service and cleanliness suck. The management is BEYOND TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel located nicely within walking distance of restaurants and other destinations. Hotel room carpet was coming up around edges and shower door leaked. Other than that room was neat and clean.

We had a nice stay. The staff is friendly and the location is good. I would probably not stay again for three reasons. First, wi-fi was either very slow or non-existent. We were on the 10th floor of the East Wing. Second, the room was small, and had no place to sit except the bed or a mesh office chair. First time I've experienced that. Third, the bathroom was tiny, smaller than the closet.

Even though the hotel was very clean and room was decent, it was not worth the price we paid. The check-in experience was terrible. Took a good 45 mins. The paid Bfast at ArtBar was mediocre and service ext slow. Took 1 hour for food and no sense of apology/inconv caused shown by the wait staff or host. Check in and bfast exp really ruined the entire stay. Would not stay again. And too $$ for the room and amenities offered. Had to pay for parking as well.

The hotel is a great location, but the overall service experience was really disappointing. First we got yelled at by the door person for trying to unload our bags at the main door and were told we had to park our car first and haul our bags from the parking garage, the check in line was ridiculously long, and the service at the restaurant was really disappointing. Overall, not what I would expect for the cost.

The hotel was old and dated and needs to be updated as it was poor at best!....Staff was very good and accommodating and had very good customer service skill sets!!

Stay was really good. Check in was fast. Desk employee was very nice and helpful. During stay I approached the front desk several times. Only once was the person working rude and dismissive. I’ll chip it up to a bad day since everyone else was fantastic. Restaurant has really good food. Fast service. Unfortunately I felt very rushed. First breakfast (and last since it’s not how I like to spend breakfast) I was given the check before I’d even finished half my meal and when the waitress returned (before I finished my meal) she seemed quite annoyed I didn’t have it filled out yet. I attempted to pay in cash, but she said she didn’t have the correct change to give back suggesting I leave a 50% gratuity so she didn’t have to try and find $10 in change. Lunch was about the same. Excellent food. Was rushed by waitress. Room service was fantastic every day. In room coffee was awful. But thankfully the lobby has a coffee bar.

Service was very slow at check in and the restaurants. The room carpet was getting tired.

Amazing hotel. We loved Kaley who helped us with everything! Also needed help with Expedia and got incredible customer service! Thanks to all

The hotel was family friendly, but no pack and play. We had to buy one.

I booked this hotel at Hotels.com. Everyone was nice and our unit was cleaned. The only issue was initially, they cannot find my reservation because Hotel.com did not properly send my reservation. So I have to show them my account and they were able to put my reservation in their system.
The location of this hotel is near the Charles river so I got a good view. They can use some updating to modernize their hotel. Otherwise, my stay was good

One of the best places we have stayed in years. We had a panoramic view of the Charles River, which was wonderful. The walkway along the river was great. The food and service in both restaurants was very good, We actually had maid service every day! The only issue we encountered was the lack of ice machines on any floor. Hopefully, that will be rectified shortly.
