I just needed an overnight heading back from my Thanksgiving family vacation and didn’t want to spend a whole lot and got what I paid for. The TV had five channel choices HLN CNN FX VH-1 and News Nation. It served its purpose, but I wouldn’t want to stay there very long.

Horrible dirty filthy MOTEL! It looks like people literally are living there. People were hanging out at 2am! They put us next to a room where the people seem like they lived there. There was a guy with multiple people in his car playing loud music with the trunk opened! We went to get ice and there was NONE. We asked for an extra blanket but they didn't have any! Front desk didn't seem to care at all. Place is OLD AND RUNNED DOWN! They still have a pay phone! It was dusty and dirty! The bed had hair and stains on the sheets! The bathtub was filthy! Kleenex box was empty! Trust when I say DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I don't know where those good reviews came from because that hotel is NOT ever going to be up to par unless they renovate it!

The young lady at the front desk was rude and did not have a pleasant attitude. I inquired if i could check in early and was told that i had to pay 35 dollars extra. This was the second weekend that i stayed there. I will not stay there again due to the not being able to check in early. I asked for early check in when i reserved the room due to working nights and i am a day sleeper. The room i was in was clean and the bed was comfortable it had a microwave that i could not plug in so i could not heat up any food. The TV remote was missing, and the housekeeper gentle man took care of without any problem he also wrote down the TV channels for me he was very helpful.

I needed a hotel room for my visit to VA tech on Parents Weekend. At 30 minutes away from campus this worked perfectly. It was affordable compared to all the rooms closer to Blacksburg and worked perfectly. Nothing fancy but a clean quiet motel. The view from the hotel parking lot is incredible as the properly is up on a ridge overlooking the valley.
I would stay there again.

The pool is very large and deep and the views are amazing...the room left a lot to be desired and is out dated. Most staff were pleasant and helpful.

We stayed here for sunrise. It is a $50-60/night hotel. Kinda with a $100 sunrise. I got what I expected/payed for. Good for budget- minded stop. Inexpensive place to sleep on a road trip.

This was THE WORST HOTEL I have ever checked into. We checked out 10 minutes after checking in, for what was to be 2 nights. Luckily, EXPEDIA WAS EXCELLENT!!! I was able to quickly pivot and move my family into a more suitable hotel, much closer to our ultimate destination quickly and efficiently through the App. It was the savior of the trip at a critical moment. Kudos to Expedia.

the room had a terrible odor. was advertised offered free continental hot breakfast but there was nothing for breakfast

It was terrible. The first room my family and I were given was on the first floor and smelled absolutely AWFUL!!! It reeked of sewage and had black mold in the bathroom. We received a different room after we complained. That room didn’t smell as bad at first, but the longer you stayed in the room the more you could smell the sewage. Beds felt damp, one of the sheets were stained and there was trash UNDER THE BED!! It was absolutely unacceptable and I’m very upset I wasted my money on this place. We left after 10 minutes and went to another hotel. Absolutely disgusting and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The only good part was the view from the front, too bad both rooms they gave us were on the back…

Not worth the price and additional fees charged at checkin

Not pet friendly. Small patch of grass. Pet fees charged by hotel at check-in. Carpets badly stained. Paint crumbling everywhere. Housekeeping brought us soaking wet comforter when it wasn’t on the bed at check in. Was also an unhooked tv on the floor in the middle of the room. It was quiet at night and enjoyed the sound of crickets. Probably because nobody wants to stay here. No availability on the 1st and 2nd floor as requested. We got stuck on 3rd with lots of luggage and no bell cart. No ‘do not disturb’ sign. Cigarette burns on all linens.

This Hotel was for just an overnight because we were driving along way.
It is long overdue to be replaced. The building has concrete floors and walls that are ready to be condemned! HOWEVER, the bed was comfortable and No bugs. The breakfast wasn't much.

My room had mice in it. I had to moved to another room. I had no choice but to stay, but I will not be using that hotel ever again and they didn’t seem to care or offer any type of a discount. The property is old and definitely needs to be remodeled.

When we checked in, the room felt unsafe, door did not secure properly. Curtains did not provide privacy from exterior walkways. Overall, dirty and outdated. Did not stay more than 5 minutes before we left. Spoke with hotel staff and Expedia and was told I would be charged for the 1st day and would be refunded for the other 2 days. I have not received a refund as of June 5. Disappointing in regards to HOJO and Expedia.

The customer service that I received during this stay was unprofessional. I was very disappointed that the pool was closed and that this information was not provided prior to or upon arrival. The room was underwhelming, but i was pleased that a refrigerator and microwave were provided.

The good thing was that it was cheap. You get what you pay for. The room was ancient and smelled horribly of pet urine, even thought the floors were vinyl plank. The bed linens themselves appeared clean and crisp, although I wasn't brave enough to peek underneath the surface. It appeared that some of the guests occupying other rooms were long term occupants.

Front lobby staff need to be more friendly. They are the first people you meet on arrival. Very unprofessional.

Our door would not open had to call the FD 2 times to get in - The breakfast was not replenished we went at 8:20am and almost everything was gone, had coffee no creamers and cereal no spoons. eggs, OJ all gone and not replenished. The front desk girl was very nice and tried her best. Room was clean, just had a bad experience otherwise.

The facility is in terrible shape, room smelled of ancient mold, dirty fingerprints on doors, paint flaking on walls, carpet threadbare, upholstery on chair worn through. Family member who was traveling with me would not use the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not clear why the facility is allowed to operate as a Wyndham Hotel.

Location was good(It was located im the high land so view was very good) and the bed and heater were pretty new ones. But staff was very short so when we got there by 5:30pm, room has not been ready so I had to come back 1.5 hours later. A free breakfast was included next morning but there was no syrups for frozen waffles, no coffee, no eggs. Breakfast was free!!(no exist). It seemed to be re-painted on bed room wall but wash room wall paint was looked like 100 years old(all paint on the wall was cracked and peeled off all over the places due to aged paint). The couch in the bedroom was so old and dirty so I didn't want to sit on it. In my view, this hotel needs to be totally renovated to continue hotel business.

Great place for the price. View was assume. They offer a breakfast, but no one ever said what the hours were. We went at 910am and we could not even find coffee.

There is nothing to like about this hotel. From what I saw the room they assigned us, and the hotel lobby is a complete run down place. The room they gave us was terrible, the walls have a patch all over it, carpet is soiled and sagging, cove base of the wall is detached and lying on the floor. In the lobby there is an area of the ceiling with hole I believe caused by water damage. Generally the hotel is not fit to be occupied. We went at Blacksburg for our son graduation and planed to stay there for a couple of days. Unfortunately since we can’t stay at this hotel we changed our plan and drove back to northern Virginia.

Me and my husband could not be more satisfied with this hotel, from the check in desk help, cleaning ladies and anyone that work there were so friendly and polite. We would definitely stay here again.

Hard to find the hotel, bathroom and bathtub are horrible. Bathtub has lots of stain and couldn’t take bath.
