Perfect short term solution

We were a multi generational family group of 7 staying for 5 nights. The location can’t be beat!! We were able to walk to dinner each night, used Uber and the Metro system very easily from this location. Our host, Sara, was quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had.
The house itself is older, so there are some creaks when walking around. The upstairs bedrooms can b very hot, so keep this in mind when traveling over the summer.
Overall, we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home and lovely neighborhood close to many restaurants and easy access to downtown touring.

In town for a wedding, stayed 4 nights with 5 other family members, all adults. This is an old house, but with modern upgrades where it counts: kitchen and bathrooms. Beautiful wood everywhere, very roomy, just a lovely old home with incredible details, Very comfy seating areas and a nice dining room table that seats 6, so we could eat breakfast and lunch in and save a few bucks on restaurants. There are TVs in bedrooms and a large one in the dining/seating area, but we never turned them on.
Kitchen is well appointed and has plenty of glassware, dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans. everything you need - even a small pantry cabinet with things like spices, sugar, etc.
Sheets and towels were provided, and there is a stacking washer/dryer in the 1st floor bathroom.
It's conveniently located at Logan Circle, and best of all comes with a parking space in the rear. We had 2 cars and we were able to get a guest parking permit for the street.
Just a great place that is very comfortable and beautiful.
I would definitely stay here again.

Logan Circle was a wonderful place to stay for a few days while conducting business in DC.
The host was great and communication was efficient. We couldn’t be happier!

We have stayed for many years & for many months all over the country. So many great experiences! This time has been a great disappointment! A small adult family reunion & the checkin code was changed, while we stood in the rain. Upstair sink drained down the wall. Rat in the kitchen. Many rats outside the back door in the alley. Landlord suggested a free night NEXT TIME, but never responded instead to our requested one night refund. So very disappointed 😔

Our family of 6 enjoyed a week long stay at this roomy property near Logan Circle. Very convenient to the District and not far from grocery stores and restaurants. The house has a lot of character and is well equipped.

Great location! So close to everything! Lovely 3 story home. Bedrooms are huge. Would stay here again if visiting DC

Overall, the place did the job for our stay in DC for 3 nights. We were two families with small kids including a baby. The details in the instructions alluded to some things not working such as some light bulbs or the stove vent. There was a lot more that was left out though —- kitchen sink easily clogged, dishwasher was full of stinky water that didn’t drain, garbage disposal didn’t work. Disappointed that we spent a lot of time washing dishes. Owner offered to look into it while we were there, but we didn’t think it would be a great idea to have maintenance people around trying to figure this out while we were on site.
Various fixtures were broken, loose, or easily coming off the wall, stair well banister poles also missing, loose, and one completely popped out. May be a safety issue if you are not watching small kids on the stairs.
House experience was also noisy on many levels. It’s an old house so lots of loud creaky stairs and wood floors to be expected. Bedroom furniture in the two street facing bedrooms were super loud and creaky when getting in or out. This was relavent to us since we slept w the baby in our room. Also lot of street noise from trucks at all hours of night and especially early morning.
House needs some major updating and fixing, and TLC. Overall experience of staying here was nothing special.
Best part was it being close to a coffee shop and the metro. Nice that it had a pack n play and high chair as well.

We LOVED this house and our stay here - if anything, our stay is too short! I wish that I could add another day, just to hang out and enjoy the house and neighborhood more. The charm of this house as you walk in the front door is just WOW - that in fact is what we said as we walked in. And just kept saying as we walked through the house. The space is perfect for our group of friends! And VRBO should take note - one of our party had never used VRBO or any service like it. She was skeptical and was sure it would be awful, but because I have used before, she came. Now she is a believer - because of this house AND because of how responsive and amazing Sarah (owner) has been with any of our questions and requests. Grateful to have this house available to rent! We will definitely be using again! THANK YOU, Sarah!!

The charm of this historic house was a perfect place for us to put our heads down and get a good night sleep. Close to the metro and a parking spot! Amenities galore. Thank you for sharing your home.

We are 3 families with teens visiting DC for the first time. The location is perfect: close to public transit, grocery stores, restaurants. The house is very roomy and well equipped. Sarah, the owner, was very responsive, helpful and friendly. Overall an excellent experience!

This historic 1800s home was a great place for my family to relax and recharge for our next day's
adventure in Washington DC. The home is modern but retains the history of the original home with
original stairwell hardwood floors and brick walls. The kitchen was modern and handled all of our
breakfast and dinner needs. While being a historic home, the bedrooms and living space felt grand.
We were an 8-minute walk to the Shaw/Howard Metro and a 5-minute walk to 14th Street for dining.
The off-street parking was great as well so we did not have to worry about where to park.
Sara was very hospitable and easy to work with from the moment of booking through the entire stay.
We will stay again if plans bring us back to Washington DC.

We planned a four-night weekend trip to DC with a group of 8 friends several months in advance and we could not be more pleased with our choice to stay at Sara's property. I did extensive research on places all around DC because of our group size and this place had the location, space, and all the accommodations we needed!
The home is beautiful with historical charm. I could go on and on about the original wood floors, railing, trim, etc that gives the house it’s personality. Yes, the floor and steps will creak, but you can tell the care put into the place and it’s something to appreciate. And just as described the place is very spacious. For a large group, separate rooms and beds were a must, and large rooms on the main floor to gather worked out perfect. We had no problem with the hot water nor the showers. And the Kitchen is updated with everything we needed, bedding & towels were fresh and clean, and bathrooms had all the necessities.
One of the most important factors for our group was location, and this spot in Logan Circle is outstanding. The neighborhood is filled with many shops, restaurants, and bars with a very diverse variety, and there’s an excellent coffee shop just across the street. Additionally, it’s an easy walk to the National Mall to see all the iconic monuments and museums – of course a DC highlight.
We were also very thankful to have the parking space behind the property. There’s an ally behind the apartment with a tight space right outside the back door in the kitchen, which is very convenient, however if you have a second vehicle you’ll have to find street parking. If you work with Sara she can help you with a temporary parking passes to extend the street parking time limit. Ultimately you just need to be mindful because you’re in a dense, historic neighborhood and parking is something to be mindful of.
Lastly, communication with Sara was terrific throughout. We spoke a number of times before the trip to help organize everything and I was invited to call/text at any time if needed. She’s very professional and puts in the effort to make sure we have everything we need to enjoy our stay. We greatly enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend her properties to anyone visiting!

This place is perfect. It’s an amazing spot for visitors to checkout the surrounding neighborhoods. Very close to restaurants, bars, shops and parks. Bedrooms and common rooms are MASSIVE and a bathroom on every floor. Sara was wonderful and very responsive. 10/10 would come back.

The house is an older house, but has the charm of an older house. The location was great for seeing the sites of DC. A coffee shop was right across the road and several restaurants and a Whole Foods was within walking distance.

Let’s start off with the good: - Location is great. It’s a very walkable neighborhood (with parking) with plenty of neighborhood restaurants for take out (we are not eating indoors during the pandemic). Easy access to DC sites. - Host is very responsive. She answered all questions and helped troubleshoot issues. She also lent us some baby and toddler toys, which we greatly appreciated. - Bedrooms are large! There’s a full bathroom on second and third floors. The setup is great for larger group (which we had, with 4 adults, 3 kids and an infant). This place met our spacing needs quite well. With a living room and family room , with a big dining table, we could comfortably spread out. - There’s lots of kids stuff, with 2 pack n plays and a high chair. Unfortunately, however, the negatives exceeded the positives of this place. I do not recommend booking (at least not at the rate we were charged!)- After booking and paying in full , and shortly before our visit, the owner sent us a list of things that didn’t work. The house has considerable deferred maintenance. We had additional issues at the house, that weren’t included in the owners “broken” list, including a broken shower in the third floor bathroom (shower knob fell off and couldn’t be replaced by hand to turn on the shower); the first floor half bath was unusable because it clogged from a 9 year old using it (we unclogged it ourselves and did not use it again); many floor boards were dipping in so badly that we had to walk around them; and some of the banister knobs were very wobbly. Most importantly, though, is the house was ABSOLUTELY FREEZING cold. It was unbearable. The kitchen felt like a door was left open. In the rest of the downstairs it was so cold at first we were wearing coats and our toddlers were crying to go home it was cold. The owner’s solution is room heaters. We used 2 of them. But let me tell you, the moment you stepped away from them it was freezing. There would’ve had to have been 5-6 of them per floor to make the floors feel heated. We couldn’t do that with kids with us and nor would we want to. That’s not my idea of a functioning townhouse worthy of what was charged to stay there! We were so uncomfortable that we left a day early. I have a busy life. I have no incentive to leave this review other than to tell the truth as part of the short term rental community on here.

My family celebrated my husbands 60th birthday in this beautiful home. We loved the historic details and the artistic design. The location was central to so many cool D.C. neighborhoods and we even walked to the White House and the Mall. The bedrooms are huge and lovely and the kitchen was great for group cooking. Sara was a joy to work with. Her response time was usually in minutes. I highly recommend this property.

Great location. We felt comfortable and safe walking the neighborhood. A mile to diner or to the subway. Easy walk. A bit further to the sites but either walked it or took Uber. The house was excellent and was exactly as promised. I would stay there again if ever in DC again.
