The room was well finished and comfortable.
The breakfast was very tasty.
3.0
Room very nice but the dining areas are dated and cold. The bar meal (superfood salad) had no avocado or dressing. Dressing arrived as the plates were being taken away. Super building but needs investment

very nice comfortable hotel. Good Gym and pool facilities.
Did not eat in the restaurant as a little out of my expenses price range. Ate in the bar. The food was very good, but the menu was a little limited and the bar restaurant lacked much atmosphere.
All the staff were very friendly.
As i was staying in November I saw very little of the outside areas, but the Christmas decorations that were up looked very pretty.

Check in staff excellent. Room key card didn’t work but they sorted it quickly

A handy spot close to Cambridge but surrounded by open countryside. Plenty of free parking and acres of outdoor space to enjoy when the weather is fine.
My only gripe: The auto-close on my room door didn't work properly so each day housekeeping came in, the room door didn't close properly on their exit meaning anyone could simply walk in at any time during the day. No evidence anyone did but it could have been serious. Situation reported first time it happened, but happened again the next day and no management feedback.

Lovely stay at Quy Mill. Really nice hotel.
Loved the spa which was included, you just had to pay for treatments.
Rooms were nice. We went with a standard double which was fine. Everything was clean but the shower could have done with a deep clean. Surprised that housekeeping came in when we were out even though we were only there for 2 nights.
Food at the hotel was amazing. We ate at the Waterwheel restaurant, bar, and had breakfast and all were outstanding. Service was good when eating but had to wait 5 minutes before someone arrived at reception for us to check out.
Location was good if you have a car as only 5 min drive to park and ride or 15 min drive to city centre. Easy access from A14.

Extremely nice staff, wonderful garden and main building.
Very quiet environment to relax, especially the pool.
The room was decent, although a little bit outdated.
Would definitely come back and recommend it!!

Really relaxing went for a swim going to the gym later then pool slept ok food was great and going for a hot stone massage later at the spa which is on hotel grounds
3.0
Convenient and quiet location and little off the beaten track. Polite and attentive staff in all areas of the hotel. Modern gym equipment with bonus of pool. Room a little tired, with no USB points, but comfortable and well cleaned. No EV charger onsite big disappointment.

We booked a month in advance. Only 4 days before our stay we were told of a wedding at the venue and asked if we wanted to move the date… bit late to change, so we had to commit.
Not a major issue, parties were kept separate and the dining experience was exceptional, food and staff! Room was well equipped though the jacuzzi did not work and lights needed attention and some were ‘blinking’. We booked breakfast but asked if it would be with the wedding party’s, we were told it would not be. So we committed to the £20pp. Breakfast was indeed with the wedding party and I could hardly hear my wife talking to me across the table. The full english was not exactly as described and eggs undercooked. The options for breakfast though were vast. I’d suggest not booking to stay when a wedding is on, yes we were given an option to move our stay but only 4 days prior. I’d assume they know about the wedding some months in advance.

Only went for one night. Bit of a walk to the room but a very pleasant stay. Tip...if you're on the top floor, stay away from the window if you don't have clothes on. The people in the courtyard can see everything!

A party going on in the barn next door meaning huge amount of noise till 11pm.
Bathroom extractor was not working.
Restaurant service was very good and food was ok.

The hotel is lovely. Staff very helpful. Food is good but needs to be hotter upon reaching the table. The spa is a good facility to use.

A very attractive property in a beautiful location close to Cambridge. Great staff, a very warm welcome and the spa facilities were perfect for a little bit of extra relaxation.
The decor was a little bit tired and needed a lick of paint and unfortunately there was a lack of attention to detail with regards to the cleanliness of the rooms. So much so we had to alert the staff to a particular issue with the bathroom in our room shortly after checking in. The hotel receptionist reacted positively and quickly to address the issue and not only were we offered a room upgrade but we were also offered complimentary breakfast for our two day stay. The standard of the food was very good both in the evening and the breakfasts. Overall a great base to stay from which to explore the area with great staff but it just needs a bit of a freshen up.

We enjoyed our stay here for x1 night in September 2024. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a really nice dinner in the bar & grill. The room was comfortable and the spa had a nice pool and set of facilities. The hotel is not really close to anything but is set in green surroundings and is quiet.

Lovely stay and enjoyed using the on site pool and sauna room.
Will be back

This is a lovely hotel set in pretty grounds.
The spa area is nice, with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and a really decent size pool. Seating area looking out over the river is unique, but too small and crammed full of sunbeds. Toiletries etc are rather basic.
Bar had great local craft beers, wine list was being updated. Menu looked good but we opted for the restaurant.
The waterwheel restaurant is a fine dining place - we had some fabulous dishes and some very odd, not so fabulous dishes. The tuna was amazing. The restaurant itself lacks the special extra touches: fresh bread/amuse bouche/petit fours etc I’d expect.
Breakfast was standard hotel fare, done well and service with a smile. Coffee was only filter, which was disappointing.
Room was in a barn, very pleasant, compact. Comfy bed, good facilities.
While the hotel is very near to a main road, you don’t hear it at all.
I’d stay again: it’s a cut above a holiday inn, but it’s not a super fancy place, price point is reasonable for what you get.

Nice hotel and close to Cambridge

The room was very comfortable and it has great amenities with the pool & spa nearby. Was a little disappointed with the appearance of the older buildings on the site for example the doors of the patio and windows adjacent to the hotel were badly maintained, not something you would expect in a 4*. Restaurant was nice but the menu was on the pricey side.

Friendly staff, spacious rooms, lovey food, beautiful grounds. The pool was a good temperature, and it was nice to use the steam and sauna.

Situated in a lovely location with a welcoming frontage and plenty of safe parking. Staff friendly and helpful albeit maybe not enough staff.
Room was good sized, quite dark with small windows, good clean bathroom (only 1 toilet roll in room), towels all good sizes. TV in our room was small and difficult to watch from where the bed was. Good tea making facilities etc.
Bar restaurant was spacious with a fair selection for lunch and evening bar food. Food,we felt, was very expensive.
Breakfast was not included in our £137.50 per night rate: you could add for an extra £15.00 pp. in my opinion this was overpriced.
Overall, enjoyed our weekend break but do feel it is a bit overpriced

Quite basic, room was small, dated and dusty. Grounds were nice and a good location. Nothing special but a good price.

Stayed for 1 night. Was a lovely quiet getaway. Was able to use the spa facilities at no charge and all of the staff were very lovely and friendly. Room was very clean and lovey. Had great facilities. It is out of the way so don’t expect to be near shops ect. Lovely hotel with a lovely garden for drinking and eating. Would definitely visit again.

Ideal location, helpful staff, lovely room

The biggest problem was the road traffic noise which was very loud when you sat in the outdoor restaurant/bar. It was not peaceful or relaxing at all!! The garden was smaller than expected and the was a lack of seating other than in the restaurant/bar outdoor area where you then felt you had to buy something. I would like to sit in garden and simply read a book in peace!
When we booked it said we would have a private hot tub. On arrival the hotel said that was a mistake on hotels.com and they were looking into getting it changed. We were not given the room with private hot tub as they cost more!
Our room had a window that opened only 1cm (ground floor) so no fresh air and hence smelled. There was no air con. There was a ceiling fan but that is insufficient as it was 30C! We could not spend any time in the room as it was far too hot and had problems sleeping in the heat as could not open window at night more than 1cm.
Website says river trail. Asked at reception where it was as we couldn’t find it. Receptionist did not know. Closest river trail seems about half an hour walk away.
2pubs within 30 min walking distance but one was closed for a month and the other was not serving food for a month. Unless you want to drive somewhere there is no choice but to eat at the restaurant. Restaurant food is ok. Breakfast was great!
Pool/spa was very good. Had a wonderful massage.
All staff, without exception, were extremely polite and professional and an asset to the hotel!

If that was an executive room I'd hate to see a standard room.
