I am ambulatory disabled, the room was some distance from lift. However great hotel.

Amazing hotel full of history!

Very grand building, friendly reception. Room was a bit small, though adequate and clean.

Nice hotel , parking is a challenge 😊 and small

Unfortunately lots of homeless people living in tents under the railway arches, which is very sad to see

It's a beautiful old hotel with so many original features. Excellent value for money, with free parking too. Very clean.

Fantastic staff, room 130 was noisy but had an enjoyable stay.

Amazing building, great lobby / halls, pleasant reception, but despite prior request, allocated a dated room at the front of the hotel. Strong smell of bleach from the bathroom.
If a room in the condition of a 1960's or 1970's sample is your thing then perfect!
Could not sleep owing to the noise / music from the street made worse by a neighbour leaving the tv on. After 3/4 hours called reception at 4am to complain but no response.
Cold water tap gave warm water and the lift was out of order in the morning.
As I had not slept, I was trying to get a little sleep before departing for work, which meant I was running late, otherwise, would have complained before leaving.
I would never stay at this hotel again!

A lovely period hotel beautifully decorated.
Clean and tidy with lovely friendly helpful staff, absolutely loved our stay.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

Right next to Forster Square station and the town centre, this is a great location

Nice large room and friendly staff
4.0
Pleasant stay, polite staff, clean bedroom, domestic/ cleaners went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay.
Information about facilities, was vey basic, for example needing a token to leave car park caused major difficulties, being a person of disability, having to re-park car / walking up hill-to reception, is not conducive to good customer care, not recognising inconvenience for many / individual needs . Breakfasts, had variety, information how the dinning room function was poor , observing the empty jam jar used the day before
Still on table, dirty area by window facing broad way

Excellent bedroom but breakfast was overcooked and inedible

Beutiful old property with oozing of character. You can imagine that this hotel was once the king of the jewels. Not anymore
Although I must say overall it was clean it was very very tired.
Breakfast typical buffet style was ok, but nothing to shout about. Would I stay there again, yes but I know what to expect. Needs probably a couple of million investment to refurb it back to its glory

The building is beautiful and centrally located. Public areas are nice. Rooms are completely outdated but very clean. New carpeting. Very good value for money.

Lovely hotel, super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast delicious

I have stayed on many hotels across Europe for business trip, and I must say the bed and pillow were the best.
Only one negative aspect to point out, there was no AC in the room. Fortunately the day I stayed was fairly mild.

Just one night. Our stay was ok.
The building is very old and historic and the rooms have dated decor.
The bathroom needs upgrading.
The windows are very old.

Excellent stay - friendly staff, clean and well-maintained throughout, very comfortable room, and incredibly helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my room at 2am in nothing but my underwear.

The hotel was very good and the staff was very good.

This hotel is straight from the early part of the 20th century and even smells that way. As such it is lacking some of the mod cons you expect.
The bathroom/shower had been refitted at some point during this century, but the toilet didn't want to flush. The shower was excellent though - high pressure and really nice to wake up to.
No air con and no fan. Windows wouldn't open much either. It was very very warm so not ideal.
Bed was the usual stick two singles together and put a topper on it. I wish hotel companies would stop this :(
Curtains were decent enough.
Breakfast was a buffet, but only had a croissant so can't comment on the rest of it. The croissant itself wasn't fresh, but had some powdered sugar on it to give the impression of more being upmarket, whereas it was something extra to scrape off.
Car park requires a token, but it would have been useful if I was given one/told about it on check in.
The location of the hotel is great if you want to go into Bradford though.

This is an amazing historical hotel. The entrance from the car park something you must see. The only thing i would say the room decoration/ colours were not in taking with the rest of the hotel. Bathroom was huge. Very friendly staff. Would recommend to all. Thank you

Great warm welcome
and customer service at the check-in desk. Bar man was exceptional. Very cheerful, helpful and remained calm under pressure when dealing with drunk, unreasonable customers.

The hotel was lovely, beautiful building comfy bed. Breakfast was great and the location was perfect.
But there was no hand soap in the room, when asked reception I was told they had run out. It’s not really a great look with covid and bathrooms in general. There is a shopping mall across the road why not go buy some.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The room was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and comfortable with all toiletries included plus tea coffee biscuit tray. The breakfast was excellent with full choice of continental and full English and the restaurant staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We would not hesitate to stay at the Midland Hotel again.

Nicely central for a quick one night stay. Nice historic building which is a plus (not bland) but does mean a few oddities with plug socket placement and light switches, but I can live with those. Nice brekkie.

Totally disappointed staying in the Midland hotel after paying more than £90/night. The room was hell hot and there was no room system to regulate room temperature(we were uncomfortable and wakeful the entire night).
Further, the room TV was old fashioned, small and quite far from the bed.
We asked them to give us a little time before we checked out due to some urgent work, but they refused straightway (although they have written they will accommodate if one need time).

I would have given a better score until we left on Saturday morning when I was chased up the road and told I had to return to the hotel. I had paid in good faith on Friday but the clerk made an error with the account and undercharged. Instead of politely contacting me by email or ‘phone and asking that I authorise the owing amount. I was pursued by the clerk/manager who literally treated me as if I was committing a major fraud and had no interest in the fact that I was catching a train with a long distance connection. It was embarrassing and also dangerous as the hotel floor was wet from being mopped so I could have slipped as I have a balance problem anyway.
The shower was over powerful and there were large banging noises at 4.30 am which could have been heating pipes in an old building. This is why I marked the Eco down. The fire alarm didn’t go off when it was booked to go off. That is a health & safety breach. The receptionist just said it would go off soon. Fire alarms have to sound for test at the time stated as otherwise it could be an actual fire.

Fantastic. Victor, Jo and Philip and all the staff were wonderful! We got married during our stay and the staff pulled out all the stops! Balloons, four poster bed, petals, a wonderful lunch. Cannot praise enough! Food was very good also. Made our special day even more special. We had four brilliant nights. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you very much to Jo, Victor, Philip and all the staff at The Midland hotel.

I moved from Bradford 26 years ago but was in town for a funeral. This used to be such a beautiful hotel
Room on third floor. Lift out of order
Man in corridor in his boxers off his head
Tiny box room smelled as if it hadn’t been used for years
Stain on the sheet
No tv (isn’t this standard these days)
Obviously had to go outside for a smoke couldn’t get back in and reception took 10 mi utes to let me in
Back up 3 flights of steps and room key didn’t work
Back outside for another smoke receptionist took another 25 minutes to let me in
The receptionist asked me did I want him to wake up the housekeeper to get her to put clean sheets on the bed. Decided to sleep on the duvet and get the hell out of there as soon as possible
