It’s an older hotel but it was built well. It is very quiet there. You don’t hear neighbors. Highly recommended.

Older facility but well maintained. Very quiet here.

Very comfortable, clean beds. I could’ve slept in them for the whole day. The building itself is quite a bit dated, but you can tell it has a long history because of it. Love the grand piano in the lobby that’s open for play by piano enthusiasts like myself. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

The website says 150 renovated rooms, what they don’t tell you is that’s only one section of the hotel not both, and if you bring your dogs you Do Not get one of those rooms. When booking that was not made clear so we paid for a room we didn’t get. The room we did get was so old with a patch of carpet that had been replaced but not the rest of the room and this was around $180/night plus the pet fees. Additionally the lighting was terrible, the TV was not a Smart TV and the vanities were chipping. While some of those things are minor, the old wasn’t the rooms and lack of clarity with what you get is extremely frustrating and misleading.

Nice hotel. A little on the older side. We had a room in the "older" part of the property. Nice large room with king bed and unexpected jet tub in the room. Thankfully it did not smell musty. Did not use tub. Bed was very comfortable. Room and bathroom nicely clean. Shower wasnt the greatest but ok. Had a wonderful large breakfast included. Only complaint there was the breakfast room was freezing. Pool was nice. Hot tub was way too hot to be enjoyable. Easy check in. Friendly staff. We were there on a Monday and had a hard time finding somewhere to eat dinner that was open.

Good service but needs serious updating! Good location

The front desk staff was pleasant. The room was very dark, dated, and felt dirty. The bathroom was very small, dated, and not clean. Checked out after one hour as took that time to find another hotel. Front desk staff asked if I wanted another room and apologized. I believe I was charged twice for the room and now have to deal with that mess. Not a pleasant hotel. Do not stay there.

When I checked in, I told them that I didn’t think the pricing was correct. When I pulled up the Hotel.com quote, I was charged $10 more than quoted. When I asked about the discrepancy, they said it was a service charge. I contacted Hotel.com, they tried to contact the hotel for over 20 minutes with no success. Never did get a satisfactory answer from the Mead Hotel or Hotels.com.

We had a great evening in Wisconsin Rapids. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful! Thanks for a great stay we will be back!

The property used to be "the place to stay" while in the area, but now seems to be where I gravitate due to rates. The building is long overdue for a complete remodel. The hanging fake flower baskets outside should be hanging in a dumpster ( pitiful looking ). The lights on the building and in the main entrance, are I think, meant to add a bit of "cool" but that could have been money better spent as its just a bit of makeup on a .....
I did appreciate the Beekman products in the bathroom.

Easy check-in. Spacious comfortable room. Friendly staff. Restaurant and bar were both great.

This is an older hotel. The rooms have not been updated. Carpeting and bathroom fixtures are old. Shower had very low water pressure. The rooms need to be remodeled and updated.

Nice, quiet hotel with a friendly staff. Beds were comfortable, except for the sofa sleeper a little rough. I'd recommend this hotel

We come here several times a year. New management is improving the entire property.

Always a pleasant stay with nice people on staff. I appreciate the upgrades to the gazebo area, massage chairs in the lobby, clean warm pool area & hot tub. Great access to the Whitney Restaurt and Tavern Bar. Continental breakfast selections were good, but cold. Please tune the grand piano. Best of luck to the new owners.

Horrible the air conditioning didn’t work in our room because they never took the sheet metal plate out since winter. The toilet didn’t flush and the carpets were dirty.

We were charged a $10 surcharge on top of the Expedia price for use of pool, gym, breakfast which we were led to believe was included.

We stay here because it is close to the ballpark.

Spacious room.

The lobby is beautiful, the beds were clean, grout in bathroom was stained, chair in room was dirty, and the walls and door where also worn and looked dirty, and I think the toilet leaked

The room was not maintained. The wallpaper was torn, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The furniture was damaged.

I reserved 2 king rooms, they only had 1, so we had to take a queen room. The desk clerk said there was nothing she could do. Then she told me a queen was an upgrade because there are two beds. Travelocity took payment months ago for the 2 kings, felt very stuck.
Rooms have very thin walls, parties going on all night. Called front desk at 4 am for help. Not returning.

The pool area was nice and clean. The sauna was recently redone and the hot tub was very hot and clean. You can tell they have been working on the property. The rooms were about the same, a little outdated but I'm sure they will be working on those. The breakfast was great, much nicer than most hotels, in fact the best I've had at a hotel. The staff was very accommodating even though some things were messed up on my reservation. Read the fine print as apparently there is a $10 resort fee. Also, mine said it came with a $15 food and beverage credit for which I never received even after asking about it. Certainly not worth the $210 I paid per night as this is a run down tired town, but it's the best hotel in Wisconsin Rapids.

This is our place to stay when in Wisconsin Rapids. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a continental breakfast with so many choices that if you leave hungry then it’s on you! The restaurant has a delicious fish fry with friendly staff as well.

The staff was absolutely amazing. The only real reason I did not give five stars is that I booked through Travelocity what was said to be the executive suite city view which should have a whirlpool tub in room I ended up in a king suite which is fine but not what I believe was reserved. Staff said that Travelocity had the wrong images for the room’s description even though part of the description said private whirlpool tub. The other issue the hot tub in the pool area was ok the first night but the second night was lukewarm with cold water coming out the jets. Also did not have enough water in it as the jets were bubbling up water over the top and would hit you in the face if you sat too close. If it was filled the right amount this wouldn’t happen. Overall a great stay the comfort level of the bed more then made up for everything else. I would stay here again for that alone!

We were told at check in that our room was downgraded. Secondly, the restaurant had no Chardonnay or baked potatoes. What piss poor inventory management. Needless to say I won’t be staying at the Mead anytime soon. Awful
