Super option right in the middle of Cirencester. Close to buses and very comfortable. Spotty wifi, especially at night, and rooms get hot (windows open).

We had a very lovely twin room. The room contained every facility you could wish for, and some.
The food in the restaurant (including breakfast) was superb and the service throughout the hotel was second to none.
Wanted to bring my husband next time for his birthday but the date is limited to a two night stay so very disappointed that this time, I can’t.

Comfy cozy rooms and friendly staff made a great home base for the three nights we were there. Well located in the town and easy to get around by foot.
6.0
Parking was expensive and off the premises.
The food in the restaurant was terrible. I think the chef must have been taking a night off. Undercooked belly pork (replaced, but then appeared to have been grilled) and overcooked fish.

Stayed for the big Airshow, really helpful staff, very friendly. They even did us a take away breakfast at 6:30 am. above and beyond what we expected. The only draw back is no parking, but thankfully have a blue badge so not such a problem for us.

We had a lovely stay. The room was small, but comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the location was great for visiting various sights in the Cotswolds. Cirencester has a lot of nice restaurants.

Really lovely hotel in the middle of Cirencester

A two night stay in a wonderful traditional country town hotel. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful at all times. The food was excellent. In fact, though we had planned to eat elsewhere on our second night we ate in the Fleece again. Would not hesitate to reccomend the Fleece or to stay there again if we are in the area.

Spent a couple of days at the Fleece for a family occasion and found the hotel excellent. Accommodation good, breakfast excellent, service and efficiency of staff excellent also. Nothing was too much for all of the staff. Would certainly recommend The Fleece and we will certainly turn.

Lovely hotel, great location. Food was fantastic and glad we booked dinner in the hotel 😊

Excellent location just wanted to get away for a long weekend. I can only say the staff make this hotel. They have gone above and beyond for us. So friendly especially the lovely waitress who bought us some honey and lemon drink as we were suffering with bad coughs. We would definitely come back and a quick mention to the manager who gave us directions to some beautiful villages and a great pub the Wheatsheaf. Food is outstanding and the atmosphere warm and friendly. We had a very comfortable stay thank you so much

The Fleece was an excellent small Pub hotel option. The room was good and the breakfast and food excellent. The perfect place to explore the Cotswolds from.

From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the staff - that includes all departments, always pleasant, friendly and professional - all done with a smile. We were lucky with the parking and arrived early so there wasn't a problem to find a spot although there is limited area at the back of the hotel. Warm welcome ,our room was on the first floor - room 2 - it was ok, good size, well decorated with small bathroom -the only real
negative was that it was a bit dark and even though there were 2 chairs to sit ,they weren't really that comfy to relax and watch the tv - we were staying for 2 days over xmas.
Great dining area's and bar area all really nicely decorated. Food was excellent - we had 2 breakfasts and Christmas Day lunch which were all really good - very tasty and good quality. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay again but maybe upgrade our room next time

Our time at The Fleece was so wonderful!! So great, in fact, that all other vacation stays will be up against the standards set by The Fleece from now. Room was amazing, food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and kind. The breakfast was the BEST we've had through our travels. Even the surrounding city is packed with beauty, history, and culture! Can't recommend this place enough - nor can we wait to go back!!

Customer service was excellent, food very good, would stay again

Conveniently located in the center of town, within a 5-minute walk to bus stops and other amenities. Public transportation was not convenient since it was off-season, but there are several restaurants nearby, so you will not have trouble finding a place to eat. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although the rooms are small and there is no elevator. The staff is friendly and helpful, although their personal experience varies. The food in the restaurant is good.

Amazing place with lovely friendly staff, who looked after us during our stay.

Heating broken and an apology was not forthcoming until I raised the issue. A discount was then given. Bedroom not vacuumed properly. Cold! Comfortable bed and good breakfast though. Shower head needs descaling. Disappointing.

We loved everything about The Fleece: Staff, Service, cleanliness, food, location and would definitely return😊

We could not fault the room we stayed in, 23, a signature room. We would definitely book again.
We had a drink in the bar the first night and the staff were attentive and it was a great cosy atmosphere.
Breakfast the next morning was just what the doctored ordered. The yoghurt and granola was delicious.
The second evening we had the sharing ploughmans with some chunky chips, just enough to keep us going.
The only issued we could say is the service for breakfast on the Sunday was extremely slow with people being served first who came in later and the muffin for the eggs benedict was tough, as though it has been frozen and defrosted in a microwave.
But this did not detract from a great hotel.

Lovely stay - hot weather was great but room was very hot

Good food, large room, v comfortable bed, nice staff. In. our room ('deluxe') the bathroom was a bit disappointing. the floor needed refreshing, but most seriously the shower was a hazard. The floor when wet and soapy was v slippery, and the bath mat only covered about a third of it. That needs attention before someone is hurt.

Lovely old hotel in a perfect location in the centre of Cirencester. Excellent staff.
They have a very popular restaurant & bar which is very good for lunch and dinner. On warm dry summer evenings, in the hotel rooms overlooking the courtyard, the noise from bar patrons talking in the courtyard can make it difficult to sleep.
Breakfast is just OK.

Wonderful location. All staff were friendly and professional. Lovely evening meal and super choice of drinks at bar.

Lovely stay, busy but welcoming

Air conditioner needed in the bedrooms. We could not sleep because the room was so hot. The windows would only open a tiny amount and the wee fan could not cope. very expensive for very poor level of comfort. NEVER AGAIN.

Location is good and staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast is super.

The fleece was a lovely place in the middle of a lovely town. Everyone was exceptionally helpful and kind. The food was great and the walkability and tranquility of the area can't be beat.

Lovely hotel, fantastic location. Staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Lovely bar and restaurant. Nice atmosphere.
Our room was nice, and clean, good facilities. Nice touch with the cushion and bowl for our dog. Breakfast was lovely and there was a great selection.
Our only slight criticisms are: our room was quite small and very, very warm - uncomfortably so. There was a fan but it didn't help much. And our room was very noisy. Both from the room above, and from some kind of very loud generator noise. But overall it was good and we would recommend.
