A perfect relaxing spot for the beginning of our Tuscan honeymoon. We stayed in the spa suite which was equipped with sauna, hot tub, and a few steps from the pool. Wonderful host who waited for us on our late arrival. Would definitely return.

We had a lovely stay for two days in Relais del lago. Wonderful wellequipped family room. Excellent ala carte breakfast prepared at our ”own” table. Excellent pool area. Rural Toscany at its best. Service was excellent

Lovely property that we stayed for one night. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was superb and helped us cool down and relax after a long day travelling. Breakfast was really good the next morning and served with some locally produced goods. Great place to stay. Exactly as advertised.

The location of the hotel was very peaceful with an excellent swimming pool, very friendly and welcoming staff. A first class restaurant attached to the hotel and an excellent trattoria 5 minutes walk away make dining a real pleasure. Our room was not luxurious but very comfortable and somewhat quirky, given its age and having been converted from a farm building.

It was a beautiful property and is lovingly cared for. It was clean and comfortable. The hostess of the property was incredible. The restaurant on the property was great. The food was great and the service excellent. I would highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful rustic farmhouse. Elisa and her family were ever so nice to my wife and myself. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection. I really enjoyed the Americano coffee. We would highly recommend staying here!

Spent 5 nights at this hotel, we were given a choice of 3 rooms when we arrived. We chose Lucida on the top floor, this meant we had to carry our case up 2 flights but it was worth it. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the premises is now owned by a Japanese chef, we ate there twice and the food was wonderful (Japanese food served on Thursday evenings) but not cheap, it's necessary to book for dinner. The pool area is very inviting with loungers and shade if needed. There is a small lake with fish.
We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Relais del Lago was the perfect start to our tour of Tuscany. The room was comfortable and clean with great views. The pool was clean, with plenty of loungers and towels provided by hotel. Breakfast was delicious, there is a self service coffee machine and a continental buffet. The surroundings were pretty, quiet and peaceful, I miss it already.

Three of us stayed at Relais Del Lago for 5 nights between visits to Florence and Siena. This was planned to be the quiet portion of our trip away from the busier cities, and it certainly was! It is a lovely setting and like what we imagined a Tuscan Villa should be like. Lots of easy parking. A small but good breakfast, and lots of places to sit around on the grounds if you wanted privacy. The Blue room we had was large and comfortable. (An extra lounging chair may be a good thing to add.) The countryside is beautiful and quiet as well. The narrow roads take a bit of getting used to, but after meeting up with a few cars it was fine. They were very enjoyable to walk along too - with olive trees, great scenery and small villages. The owners were most helpful, wonderful people, and their mother was a delight (in spite of not speaking any English! Tressy their dog was a lot of fun too !

Fantastic boutique guesthouse. Quite remote area so suits those traveling by car best. Very relaxing stay and the adjoining restaurant has excellent food.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

We found the B&B quite easily with the help of a Sat Nav. This is a lovely old farmhouse that has been restored to a very good standard in a delightful location with a lake in the grounds. We had one of the superior rooms that were on the top floor. The bed was extreemly comfortable. Unfortunately, when we arrived the temperature was much hotter than usual and the air conditioning wasn't coping very well. Elisa and her family were very concerned as the could see we were very hot and offered to move us to a lower room after the weekend. However, the next day they fitted a ceiling fan over the bed which made all the difference - this is the level of service and care that they give at this B&B. The swimming pool is lovely with comfortable sunloungers and gazebo's for shade. A lovely continental buffet breakfast with a good selection of ham, cheese, eggs, pastries, cakes and proper fruit juices (which is unusual in Italy) is available to eat in the garden under the shade of a vine covered pergola. I would recomend this B&B to anyone and will definately go there again.

Great quiet location yet close enough to lucca. Owners are warm friendly helpful and can not say enough kind words about them. Property is very lovely and well maintained. Pool is quite a nice added bonus after a long day of sight seeing. Breakfast is quite nice sitting outside on terrace in the mornings. My only little negative about the property is the lighting in the room. It is very dark even with lights on and shutters open. It is difficult if you need to look at maps etc. so we found ourself having to take outside to look. This would not stop us from booking this property again as the many many positive things about relais and the owners

This property is without a doubt among your top listings. The location is delightful and 15 mins. away from Lucca city center. In other words, have fun in the main city but relax and fully enjoy this pearl in the outskirts of the city.
The room was clean and comfortable to my satisfaction. The owner and his wife are professional and kind above all standards (they also booked for me a late-night dinner in the best restaurant of the area).
Breakfast is good and with reasonable variety with good coffee beverages.
The property also host a gourmet restaurant available for private dinners or events, and open in the high season.
Pool is amazing with Spa service...last but not least...you can enjoy a drink in a private pier-hut in the middle of an enchanting private lake, beyond the pool's grounds.
Parking is comfortable and a few steps away from the main entrance.

Excellent dinner, friendly service, lovely views. The only criticism - its location needs to be better sign-posted.

A nice clean room and a good breakfast - very friendly staff, and the attached restaurant is excellent (if perhaps pricier that alternatives). Some of the less-visible parts of the hotel were a little tatty (round the back for example) which was surprising given the cost of the stay, but we really enjoyed it.

Lovely breakfast on the terrace each morning, overlooking the countryside. Very accommodating staff who took care of all our needs.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The dinner in their restaurant was very good ( we ate there on both nights ) and the breakfast was good and set up under a pergola which was lovely. The owners were really nice which made the whole expierence so nice...we had clean and comfortable rooms and would stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Lucca. An easy drive to the city and a wonderful relaxing place to return too following a day of sightseeing. Very convenient to Pisa and Siena also. Lovely swimming pool and pleasant grounds. The restaurant is wonderful, and there is another one just up the road which we enjoyed. The family running this B & B are charming and very helpful.

An oasis in the wilderness. Difficult to find in the early evening as directions are limited which meant we did not arrive until very late in the evening but the staff were very welcoming and absolutely charming They were totally relaxed about our late arrival and more than happy to serve dinner after 10.00pm. Excellent wine and good menu with a very potent nightcap! On our departure the following morning we discovered we had a puncture and they could not have been more helpful. Having struggled to change the tyre, the hoteliers father-in-law accompanied us to his friendly garage so the puncture was repaired rapidly and we were on our way.I highly recommend this venue, but it warrants a longer stay to enjoy their facilities and explore the surrounding countryside
