To far away from downtown where the shops are and because parking is almost impossible to find downtown the location is not good. The room had counters that still had drink glass marks that had not been wiped off and there even was a chicken bone behind one of the end tables. Bed was clean. I think their cleaning staff needs to be changed. The underground parking only has 5’10” clearance which is tight for any vehicles to fit. The building looks great from the outside and in the lobby but extremely poor anywhere else

Surprisingly comfortable and roomy. I’ve never really looked at it but I’ll come back.

Great place to stay. Close to downtown

The stay was what I needed, a hotel in Banff for the night. I would have preferred a room not facing the hostel next door. I also would have preferred to have an extra blanket as I was cold overnight. The phone did not appear to work. The light flashes as though there was a message but there was not one to play. When I used it to call a cab it did not work to call. I ended up walking to the hospital in the morning.

Great location and value for money. The staff at check in were super friendly and welcoming. Gave us some tips on where to go eat too.

Overall good experience

We stayed at Irwin’s for 2 nights in a standard king room. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
We had dinner one night at the hotel’s on-site restaurant which was very good.
The property is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Banff. There are lots of restaurants and a supermarket in close proximity.
Happy to recommend.

Good property

Pictures did not reflect the reality of the room. It’s an old Inn and the carpet had lots of stains on it (we were glad we had slippers). The ac is pretty noisy, the hot tub jets had black mold in and around them and we there were a couple of flies and a moth flying around the room. There was also a strand of hair on the pillow and one on one of the towels that were not from us. Thankfully, we only needed to stay one night.

Was a nice place to stay close to everything in Banff.

Keeping in mind that this hotel is located in a very busy and popular destination it was not bad, but the property is starting to show signs of aging and the need for updating. Loved the fact that it was right on Banff Ave. within walking distance of bus stops, shopping and dining.

The hotel is in an excellent location with parking available. The staff were friendly. The room had a Funky smell and the AC was not in working condition. If it wasnt for these 2 issues I would have given a 5 star. Other than than I enjoyed my stay here and would Def Visit Banff again.

The suite was comfortable, clean and spacious and everything worked as it should

Negatives: Very dated decor. Low standard of cleanliness and furnishing. Noisy location. Cramped room. High cost. Very poor value.
Positives: Good location to access downtown. Underground parking. Friendly staff. WiFi - but no smart TV.
We would never stay here again. It was very overpriced, but all of Banff is overpriced.

Irwin's is a very nice facility and close to the center of town, so it was convenient to get to restaurants, the Roam bus, etc. It was nice to park our car there and not worry about it. The room was not spacious but was big enough. We had a beautiful view of the mountain from our balcony. It was nice having access to the hot tub and sauna. (The hotel designers were clever in having the hot tub warm the lobby.)
A few negatives: the air conditioner was very noisy, though we soon learned to turn it off and just open the balcony door. It would have been nice to have breakfast included, but we knew in advance that it wasn't. However, many hotels at least have coffee service in the lobby, and it was a disappointment that there was none.

Good hotel great service. Nice room size, but a bit dated, carpets was worn out in room.

Good location, big room. Nice staff. Parking a bit tight if you got big car. When leaving, we could leave car in car park untill 4pm, which is nice touch and very helpful. Room was next to store room, so a bit noisy at moments. Comfy bed, noisy air con- no way, we could sleep with it on. Noise regulation not followed as noisy during night - people shouting at midnight and from 5am again. Room very dated, so much potential in there.

It is an old place, but in decent shape, with great location and friendly and responsive staff. Not super comfortable or shiny, but good for the price and has everything a tourist would need. I would consider staying there again.
3.0
Unfortunately property is very run down.
2.5
The hotel was fine however the bathroom needs to be updated as does the flooring throughout the hotel property and rooms. The room had a mini kitchenette but there was no table when there was lots of room. The beds and the bedding were very comfortable and clean.

Location of the property. Limited parking.
