Great stay and very reasonable price! The breakfast was delicious and very friendly staff! The room was wonderfully equipped and comfortable, apart from the heating was on far too high so we had to sleep with the window open.

For the first 3 mornings the water would randomly turn off, and i'd be left without any water. After multiple complaints each morning was this finally resolved.
The lack of heating control per room was also difficult to bare as it meant switching between an open and closed window

The hotel is poorly kept and dirty. The area is very unpleasant to walk

Located in a short 15 minute walk from the centre it was a good base and came at a reasonable price. It’s a no frills kind of hotel in terms of facilities and staff, and Unfortunately our door did not lock.

We had a ok stay. Rooms are very small but cosy. It’s clean and the beds are fine. It’s quite noisy so bring earplugs.
There is a bridge at the end of the street which makes continuously a weird noice when cars across (aso at night)
It’s 10-15 min walk to the mainstreet of El Calafate.

A bit away from the center of El Calafate. Rooms are clean but small. Service was good.

The Hotel is quite nice, but i'd say all the glamour is gone. It is located a 10-15 min walk from "downtown", the only thing nearby is a metal bridge which lets you know every single time a vehicle is crossing over it. There is barely no acoustic insulation, the furniture is a bit old.
But : The Team is very polite and friendly, the breakfast had a great selection.
In general the Hotel is okay, although next time i'd book anywhere else.

Everything Nice and OK... only inconvenience is the wifi... poor connectivity all time.

We paid luxury hotel prices for what is really a hostel. The rooms are small and there are almost no amenities. All the other hotels we have had in Argentina have been superb but this one was a disappointment.

Noisy room, thin walls.
Very little storage in the small room.
Friendly staff.

There was some sort of mishap involving my reservation. The management notified me of this almost a day in advance and had already made arrangements for me to stay at a 4-star hotel around the corner. This was excellent service on their part, taking the responsibility for my accommodations and keeping my experience stress-free. Bravo!

Very nice lobby. The hotel is located in quieter part of town, and closer than most hotels to the bus terminal. The WiFi doesn’t work well. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Nice hotel not far from the city centre (~15min walk), rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet is good (incl. scrambled eggs!) and staff was friendly

We really enjoyed this hotel as a base for taking tours to see Perito Moreno Glaciar and other activities in the area. The breakfast is really good (includes a variety of fruits, cheese, ham, baked goods, cereal, plus the usual medialunas), and they have a box lunch for purchase that they put together for you at breakfast. The room was also much nicer in person than in the photos. Our only complaint was that the heat was on in the building, so our room was very hot, even with the window's open.

I was very happy staying at this hotel, it had nice wooden decor and the room was very clean and had a nice look to it. Only small negatives was it was a little bit pricey, and it was located on a dusty road 15 mins walk from the town centre and bus stop.

I was in El Calafate for four days and three nights and it was my first time being there. I was really impressed by their hotel staff because they helped us a lot by contacting our day trip company several times even when we were out. Location is not very downtown area but everything is walkable. Only thing I didn't like is the air circulation in the room is not quite good.

This hotel is quite OK. Its a 10 minute + walk out of the town, down a dark street (its safe, dont worry). Its less expensive than places that are in more happening parts of this town. The breakfast is quite good. When in Calafate remember that people are getting picked up from all hotels at 7 AM for tours. We ended up in a room right by the entrance so started hearing the buses and vans at that time. If you book a room, request one that doesnt have windows opening on the entrance. We thought it was a good value.

It is a nice hotel slightly away from the town centre. It was expensive for the room size and breakfast choices.

The hotel, on the face of it, seemed very nicely appointed and comfortable. However, we arrived on a very hot Summers day to find that our room was unbearably warm - it became clear to us that the heating (underfloor, we assume) was on throughout the hotel, with no possibility of switching it off individually. The room did not have A/C, though this - inexplicably - appears to be the case throughout Patagonia, even though they clearly experience hot summers. The heating was eventually turned off, after we politely asked the hotel staff several times. However, as our room faced the morning sun, even with the window open it was uncomfortably warm. Other issues included a rude member of desk staff who, when I politely enquired (in Spanish) as to whether we had received our pick-up confirmation for a trip we were to take the following day, did not look up from her mobile phone. I ostentatiously waited for her to look up before proceeding - not something you would expect to have to do in what would seem like a decent hotel. Also, the included breakfast was quite poor in that the sliced bread was stale and the room itself wasnt particularly clean. And when for two of the three days we stayed at this hotel, the Wifi was completely inoperational - which the staff seemed quite unbothered by. This is actually the first online hotel review I have ever posted - I usually prefer not to dwell on small issues and move on - but this was quite an unusually negative experience.

great hotel within walking distance of the main El Calafate area. Only issue was the roosters that woke us up at around 5am every morning.

We booked this hotel initially for 2 nights but decided to stay for an extra day due to the amount of things to do in the area and because we loved this hotel.
The hotel itself is a little way out of the main town centre, perhaps an easy 10 minute walk. You could say it is in an unfinished part of the town - unpaved road etc but do not let that put you off. The hotel is very welcoming and on entering has a lovely wooden reception decked out with a large fire, sofas and PCs for accessing the internet. Wifi is throughout the hotel. We both really enjoyed our stay here and thought that this hotel was the cosiest out of all the Argentinian hotels we stayed on during our trip round the country. The room was lovely although with our luggage felt a little tight.
The staff were extremely helpful in helping to organise trips providing impartial advice on tours and places to visit. They organise a lunch box for trips if you require.

All the hotels are cheap prefabricated contruction, they are fair and ok, but they are not worth the price. There is not much of a choice
Important hotels.com mentions the distance of the hotels to the airport in yards, that is the old airport that now is a city road. The new one is about 20K distance.
Get a hotel close to the city center if you dont like walking a lot, most are dirt road and they are dusty.
If you are going to Patagonia, make sure to make to go to all the glaciers. Walking on the glaciers is really awesome, and is not difficult at all, is actually relaxing.

The hotel is in a convenient location, just a short 5-10 minute walk to the downtown of Calafate. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice a big with a big shower. For the price of the hotel its a great deal. There is a nice fireplace in the lobby and free wi-fi. Its very cozy. All of the front desk clerks are extremely helpful and cheeful. They helped with directions, setting up tours, and just taking care of anything we needed. I ordered a box lunch with a vegetarian sandwhich to take on my glacier hike and they gave me a sandwhich with ham but Gabriel from the kitchen quickly made a great vegetarian sandwhich in the morning. They do a great job working with a lot of tourist everyday!
