Great stay. Mohamed on Reception is so lovely and very informative. We got complimentary drinks for my daughters birthday and free late checkout. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is on a busy street but room was quiet and we slept well. Coffee machine in breakfast area is free to use 24/7 which was an added bonus for us. The hot chocolate is really good! Breakfast was okay. Continental breakfast was good and they have a good choice of cereals. Hot breakfast wasn't so good. Scrambled egg was good. They seem to struggle to keep it topped up and basics like mugs and knifes regularly run out. Having said that, you will definitely find something that you like to eat.
Overall, we had a lovely base at this hotel. It's in a good location for the tram to The Trafford Centre and is an easy 10min walk to the centre of Manchester. We would definitely return.

Hotel was good for a one night stay just some where central to drop . Staff ok some more friendly than others room nice and clean but overwhelming smell of bleach. Bed very soft not my thing but works for some.

Great location and very helpful friendly staff - lovely room and as always great breakfast - thank you!

Had an amazing overnight stay here! It’s just a short walk from the theater, which was ideal after seeing a show, and it’s close to plenty of shops too. The staff were incredibly friendly, both day and night, and went out of their way to help. I’d definitely stay here again!

Easy stop over basic hotel for a central a Manchester stay. All as you would expect for a HI. Clean but basic.
Felt VERY cramped in our room with sofa bed for kids down. Breakfast not the best but warm. Again, breakfast room VERY cramped- too small for the amount of guests. One lift not working - not great for a high rise hotel. That being said, value of money was good for what we needed. I wasn't expecting luxury as I didn't pay for it. Staff very polite and helpful. Parking available at extra discounted cost just a few mins walk from hotel.

We stayed as a family, the hotel was less than mediocre, room is too small for a family of 4,
Sofa bed wasnt even made
Breakfast was bad, condition of the room was also wasnt good, the shower was clogging. Overall, not good value for money

The hotel is fine. It is clean and tidy and met our expectations. The disappointment was breakfast. We came down at 9.45 and some items had run out (eggs, bacon sausages). No attempt was made to replenish and staff just disappeared. Furthermore at dead on 10 milk was taken away so we could not even get another drink. At £200 per night this was very disappointing

Bathroom needs total renovaition. We booked room for 4 person. Get only 3 pillows and they could not giv us one more.

Hotel and staff very pleasant and clean. Breakfast provided good choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Surrounding area quite grubby.
Booked as close to train station and theatre.

Excellent stay overall. Location perfect. Downside was TV had poor signal with channels. But shower drain was blocked, awkward whilst I showered and water just built upto my ankles.

Extremely disappointed in stay due to member of the party finding bugs/insects in her bed along with bad stains on sheets. Spoiled weekend break for all.

We were double booked , so we did not stay at the Holiday Inn express , Oxford Rd Manchester. I was not told about this double booking until we tried to check in. I think this very poor communication. However the Holiday Inn staff apologised. Luckily the alternative hotel was just over the road and 4 star and very good, so all was well.

Great position for MCR city centre, concierge was amazing, overall good, no USB ports in room unfortunately so remember your plug

The room was clean and comfortable but nearly all the furniture was stained, chunks missing from wood and heavily marked. The beds and bathroom were nice. Our door reset every time we went out so we had to keep going up and down, staff were rude insisting it was our fault we were placing the cards next to a mobile phone, which wasn’t true. A handy man came and replaced the batteries in the door when it wouldn’t open completely, but still staff insisted it was us with the keys. Pretty disappointed all in all as it was a lot of inconvenience.

Convenient for Palace Theatre Manchester but could feel the springs in the sofa bed & double bed was lumpy so a restless night for everyone. Otherwise reasonable overnight accommodation.

Just a basic budget hotel.door staff pretty unhelpful when we had to leave in a hurry and needed to catch train.dont know what they actually do apart from pointing direction of check in desk.
Area bit of a dump on a main road which is typical of most of Manchester city centre.Wont be returning.Liverpool is a much better place to visit.

Hotel was within easy walking distsnce from oxford rd train station. Good assortment of eating out places, takwaway and convenience stores nearby. Hotel great. Breakfast tasty. Staff very pleasent and helpful. No evening food available but can use breakfast area to bring own food in and can help yourself to free hot drinks. Rooms kept very clean and tidy. Arndale shopping centre about 15 min walk away but can pick up bus at stop outside hotel.

It was okay, the room was at first glance tidy, but closer inspection there was popcorn on the floors under the beds, packets of chocolate under the beds plus a cup, so overall it wasn’t the best for cleanliness and in one of the party districts it was noisy.

Room was very small. turn down service is very Worsed . during the time of check out morning receptionist she is very well known how to deal with the guest and extend my late check out by Inrolling me as a membership she understand the feeling but when I Wnt to change my room coz of small space they forced me to check out in 11 am and again check in 3 pm first time I have experienced this scenario if in-house guest will experience this type of scenario mean they r losing business for the future .

We had arrived very tired and it was at the time for check in
our room wasn't ready so we had to leave our suitcases with them and come back in an hour, so we did they gave us a room went up and it wasn't cleaned beds not made walked in and went back to reception and told them they gave us another room and it was ready for us so first was not but after that everything was great

Location was excellent for the Aquatics Centre and the Opera House which were the reasons for our stay. Bed slightly uncomfortable as it felt it sloped downwards toward your head when you lay down, we asked twice for extra pillows as only had one each but didn’t get any. We had a room looking onto Oxford Road which obviously meant a bit of traffic noise but no noise from other rooms within the hotel. The staff were pleasant, they let us check in 30 mins early which was great. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the staff at breakfast were lovely. The A/C in the room worked really well too. We’d definitely stay again but bring our own extra pillows.

Decent enough hotel in the heart of the city. For a hotel of this price point, everything was as you would expect. Beds comfy enough. Breakfast o.k. Staff friendly. No issues.

Very strange and inconvenient that the hotel shuts down between 11 pm and 11 am and hotel guest needs to request to be let in or out outside of these hours.
2.0
Location hotel great but it cost me £7.50 to ring the hotel twice. First call about blue badge parking and second call to say I'm sick and just my husband and child coming. I have never ever been charge to call a hotel for information. I emailed to complain no reply. So customer service 0.
It's a shame because hotel was good.
5.0
Good location just near Oxford Road station and an easy walk to the city centre or university. Friendly, helpful staff. A good size room
