Beautiful hotel, staff are absolutely amazing

Decent hotel within walking distance of the city centre. Staff were all lovely, breakfast very good. Room pretty standard and the lifts were very slow, definitely could do with upgrading.

This was a well located hotel in the centre of Edinburgh and I have to say I couldn't fault anything with the hotel. Great parking, staff, room and food and I would definitely recommend this one as a base to use if you are visiting the city. The station is a very short walk also so great transport access.

Claire was excellent, made our stay fantastic!

All round a good hotel and good stay. Would stay again. Slightly outside the main city centre but a short walk to the city and good transport links. Near Haymarket station so can get the tram from the airport if you prefer to a taxi.
Lots of places to eat nearby and a bit quieter than the city centre.
Wi-Fi was good and room decent enough. Bed was comfy and sofa bed for my daughter was good to accommodate 3 of us.
Minor, minor down points. Some confusion at checkin about when to pay for a late checkout. Was remedied the next day and got a late checkout of 2pm for £35.
Only other suggestion would be to enable the Wi-Fi on the room tvs to allow streaming services rather than just terrestrial and free channels. Not a big thing but would enhance the stay.
Restaurant was better than expected although more expensive than local restaurants, so only ate at the hotel once, but food quality was good.
All the staff were nice and very helpful.
All round good and would happily stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Lovely reception staff, very comfortable and spacious room. Only slightly spoiled by the rather petty and intransigent attitude of a bartender with regard to our complimentary drink in recognition of my wife and I being regular visitors.

Rooms are very comfortable, a good size and the bathroom is great. The bar and restaurant are pretty decent, though a bit on the pricey side but the staff are the ones who deserve the best praise - reception/bar/cleaning staff are all very friendly and helpful and welcoming.

The stay was very pleasant. Breakfast had a very good selection of food.
Would have been nice to have a toilet bowl brush in bathroom!!!

Conveniently located not too far from Edinburgh Castle and other areas. We walked most of the time it’s only a mile or so to some of the farther places you might want to go.
One really nice perk was the breakfast. It was a nice selection with a full Scottish breakfast available and plenty of pastry/bread options as well.

We liked the hotel and its location. We were able to go to the Castle and many attractions of Edinburgh walking.

Nice location hear Haymarket. Lots of great restaurants and bakeries nearby. Easy to walk or catch an Uber to the sights. Staff seemed indifferent and bathroom could have been more functional and cleaner. Still would stay here again.

These were the last couple days of a 10 day trip. Initially stayed in old town. Newtown great too. Wish I could have stayed longer! Very comfortable accommodations.

Clean, spacious rooms. Comfortable bed and pillows. Bus, train and trams nearby. But a lot is also within walking distance like Princess Street. A lot of food options close by including grocery stores. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. We had no issues and would definitely stay here again!

Conveniently located. Staff were helpful. Dinner at the restaurant was enjoyable.

Although we enjoyed our room, the breakfast let the stay down for us. There was a clear lack of leadership during an extremely busy time leaving junior staff to answer to very challenging behaviours.
The food was cold and stocks ran very low.
There was a lack of quality control and proactivity but more of a reactive approach from management - if any.
Management did appear but only after help and support was really needed.
We were hoping to use this hotel for future stays but this breakfast experience may leave us looking elsewhere.

The shower has mold in water where glass panel is attached to wall- and water gets all over the floor. tub is elevated & difficult to enter & leave. Need rubber mat to prevent falls. I almost slipped on the leaking water. As a traveler from the states, would love to see instructions on how to operate shower, air con

Good location hotel with nice dining and breakfast area. Was a little busy but rooms were spacious and good for a weekend getaway.

The first room we got had a terrible smell of meat/BBQ. Being Vegetarians (two of us lifelong) and the smell of meat in the room and bed, pillows was not acceptable. they changed the rooms as we had checked in on time... Staff was friendly, breakfast was good and satisfying.

We were arranged on 1st floor facing street view. A lot of sound created by the passing traffic even after midnight. We had a hard time to sleep. The room had bad soundproofing.

Decent size room with excellent facilities, fairly quiet (most noise from inside the hotel), excellent location for access to city centre, Fringe venues, public transport, and green spaces. Staff friendly and helpful though did have to wait a while to be served at the front desk on three of the four times I needed to interact with them.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket for two nights on our honeymoon, and we loved it! The parking was easy and convenient, as was the location of the hotel itself (right near lots of dining options, pharmacies, and walking distance from a lot of attractions). When we were checking in, we mentioned to the staff at the front desk that we were on our honeymoon, and they upgraded us to an executive suite, and gave us complimentary breakfast and two complimentary drinks at the bar! We did end up having a bit of a medical emergency while we were staying here, and the staff at the front desk were helpful in recommending a hospital we should go to, and in calling us a cab to get there. All in all, it was a great stay in a great location, with super friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend!

We have stayed here a few times and just feel the hotel is not as clean as it was and also the service in the bar area for drink & food is not very welcoming ( they are not very helpful when asking about things ) and the breakfast time has become a bit chaotic and again if asking for vegatarion things the staff seem like they cant be bothered and things like the serving spoons have been used for different things and if asking for clean ones the staff werent pleased ( eg - im vegatarian and dont expect to use tongs for cheese that have meat on them - and if wanting egg dont expect the spoons to have beans or meat on them )

Hotel rather tired in particular the bathrooms. Seemed to be mainly people on coach tours staying.
